This was our second stay at Pirates Lookout and it felt like coming back home. It was our annual girls trip to the beach and for us, this house checks all the boxes.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I will start off by saying overall, our experience staying in this vacation rental was good. The location was great, with amazing views and the hottub was awesome. Not very big, but worked for the few people that got in there. The host was nice enough to put a keurig in the kitchen. Suggestions/concerns: The house is old and could use some easy/simple improvements inside. The beds downstairs were not good and uncomfortable to sleep in. The cushions on the chairs at the dining table can easily be updated to be a little more comfortable. My husband did smell mold downstairs, which was concerning. The kitchen could use some upgrading with utensils, cookware, etc to accommodate the number of guests that can stay there. Recommend putting a smart TV in the living room upstairs. The house could probably use a deep clean, lots of cob webs inside the lamps (mainly downstairs). Floor in the dining room was not clean. The towels in the bathrooms and to use for the hottub were very small. Recommend getting bigger ones.

The view from the deck was incredible. The hot tub with an ocean view was fabulous too. The beach access has lots of stairs. We enjoyed the 2 living room areas, dining room, and kitchen space on the main floor. The coffee maker was a keurig so it would have been helpful to know that ahead to bring the correct type of coffee. We had plenty of bedrooms for our group of 5. The tv in the main living room was difficult to operate because it is cable not a smart tv, but someone came right away to help us figure it out. Overall we had a fun, comfortable, relaxing stay!

Great location. Fantastic deck. Good house layout for us. Very poor TV on the main floor, which should be replaced. This is our 2nd stay at this home. We will likely stay here again.

Great location & ocean view. Nice cozy house. Great deck and hot tub. Only thing missing was some small shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrush & toothpaste in case someone forgot those items.

The home was beautiful! We had such a relaxing time. The home was well stocked and very clean. We really enjoyed watching the sunset from any room on the main level. The huge deck provided sweeping views of the beach below. We enjoyed our time and wish we could have stayed longer!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pirate Lookout. Location couldn’t be better. Saw many whale spouts and a few sea lions. The ocean views were magnificent!!! The house was well appointed and clean.

Very comfortable living space. Watching and listening to the ocean were awesome. If the sun was out so was I on the porch enjoying the great view. The beach was very easy to walk on after you got down the stairs.

The location of this home is second to none! The view from the gorgeous patio is stunning, we spent a lot of time out here reading, playing games and visiting. It was also awesome to have our own private beach access and plenty of parking. The stairs - both within the home and down to the beach - are very narrow and quite steep….people with any mobility issues or even who are simply not in very good physical conditioning might struggle with them. That said, there’s nothing to be done about it and they’re in good condition. It’s a really clean and perfectly located home!

We had an amazing time and memories were made. The view from the deck is absolutely stunning. Love the private staircase to the beach so we don’t have to drive anywhere. Kitchen was kind of small since there were no empty cabinets to put our food in but we made it work. The house was VERY clean. Thank you!

The location of this house made for a magical vacation. The views are amazing! We actually saw whales from the living room window and deck. The owners left a pair of binoculars which made it even easier. If you see whale boats in the distance, grab the binoculars, that’s where the whales will be.We used the stairway to the beach everyday. Make sure you check out the tide pools at low tide. They are beautiful and full of life. We loved the hot tub too!From looking at the pictures in the listing, I thought there would be one more bed than there was. So we were short a bed with the combination of people that we had. After we got there, I realized I should have looked at the listing description for that info. But we made it work.The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because of the small showers and lack of closets in the bedrooms. But all-in-all, it’s a great place to stay.

This home had a view that was ridiculously breathtaking! Comy furniture with a pirate/nautical theme was a plus. The down sides were outdated bathrooms, a deck railing that was not sturdy above a steep cliff with peeling paint on deck, windows with no screens or that wouldn't open, and very steep, not to code stairs for all 3 levels. With a little makeover and tlc, this home could be magnificent! You could not beat that view, though & we loved our stay!

It is a very nice and clean house. The best part was the huge deck. The weather was perfect so we spent a majority of time out there. We had a blast. Even the staircase to the beach was very doable.Thank you for more great memories of family.

My stay was good. Staying on the beach was an amazing experience. In the upstairs rooms as well as the livingroom(s) you see nothing but ocean out the windows. It gave me such a peace watching the waves each morning. The balcony was the best part of the house as it was so spacious, plenty of seating for my party of 8. Although I didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, it was very clean. The only issue I had and why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 was because in the upstairs bedrooms and in one of the rooms I found Cobwebs and there was dirt/dusk on the floors. (I did address this with customer service and they said they would let house cleaning know and they did apologize). Also the stairs in the house are real steep, we had a couple of ladies in my group who have bad knees and it was difficult coming up/ down the stairs. This information should be posted in the description of the house. Outside of that, I had a great stay. Oh yeah, I also captured a picture of a seagull on the deck, that was cool to watch him fly around and then fly back to the deck

Beautiful property! Immaculately clean, well appointed, comfy beds, incredible views, and on top of all that, a hot tub! The tidepools were an unexpected treat— I’m born and raised on the Puget Sound and never in my life have I seen such an explosion of sea life. More starfish than could ever be counted! We’d definitely stay here again.

Oregon Vacation

We loved this property. It was so nice having private beach access. The home had plenty of beds to accommodate our family of 8. Although the kitchen is small, it was nicely laid out and we were able to cook meals with ease. We loved the spacious deck overlooking the ocean. It was also very nice having 2 separate living rooms so our family could spread out. The dining table was large enough to seat all of us. This was the perfect rental for our family.
