This a beautiful well maintained home. The owners are very responsive and easy to work with. Everything was wonderful. The home is extremely close to the beach and the walk is really nice. Very close to restaurants and shopping as well. Very cozy and comfortable place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Lively Up Yourself! Located just south of the main commercial section of Kill Devil Hills, the cottage is walkable to several local restaurants, Stop & shop deli/gas station/gift shop, and of course the beach! Nightly walks to the nearby Dairy Queen were a must. We traveled with a few teenagers and the location allowed us to give them freedom they don’t have in our less accessible home area. Access to the beach is directly down the street so it made transporting beach gear back and forth incredibly easy. The cottage is generously stocked with beach toys and chairs so it was one less thing for us to pack to bring down. The outdoor showers made washing all the sand away a breeze. Inside the cottage you will find everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. The home is stocked with many of the general perishables you often need for a beach week and the owners have a great policy of if you use the last thing just replace it, making it so much easier for renters not needing to haul all that down. Puzzles and games were ample and the outdoor space attached to the house was a great place to wind down with dinner al fresco after a long day at the beach! Cindi the owner was very responsive to my questions and concerns and I had no difficulty getting in touch with her. Instructions in the home were clear and concise and made departing the property very easy. We would definitely stay here again and think the cottage is a fantastic find!

Stayed here multiple times now. House is perfect condition. Location is amazing: short walk to the beach and close to everything in KDH & Nags Head. Great place to stay!

Mother’s 80th birthday celebration

My family of 5 just stayed in this super cute, beautifully maintained property to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday! Host was easy to communicate with and responded readily. House was well stocked with the basics and more! Great sitting areas in both the front yard and porch areas. Great backyard space with a hot tub. So close to beach access and centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills! We had a wonderful experience !

Great amenities!

First impression was great, clean, floor plan had an open feel, nice renovations, welcoming decor, comfortable beds. Outdoor hot tub and shower were a plus! Hosts were very responsive to our needs. Would definitely stay here again.

OBX 2024

This is the second time we spent at this vacation home. We enjoyed it so much late year we wanted to stay here again. The house is very clean and beautifully decorated and very well stocked. It is a block and a half from the beach, a gas station/deli is on the way to the beach which works for ordering lunch. Numerous restaurants and stores are nearby also. We would likely rent this vacation home again in the future.

Turquoise gem

This little home instantly caught my attention online for multiple reasons, but it's somehow even cuter in person. Great decor inside and out, close proximity to beach, convenience store, and restaurants, plus a quiet neighborhood. We instantly felt comfortable here. Good communication with host, super clean, and just all around a great rental property. . here and very much enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful!

This was our second time staying at this house and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The house was spotless when we arrived, and was fully stocked with everything we needed (pots, pans, dish soap, paper towels, etc..). The kids loved the big backyard and the hammock. And we all loved the hot tub. There was plenty of beach stuff for us to use, like toys, boogie boards, chairs, and umbrellas. We will definitely plan to stay here again the next time we are in the Outer Banks!

Summer Vacation

The property is great and well stocked with plates, utensils, pots, and even paper towels. The house is very close to the beach and many cool eateries. The host was easy to reach and addressed any questions in a timely manner. We have created amazing family memories and our stay at the Lively Up Yourself house made it a wonderful vacation in OBX!

Summer vaca

The property was as described and pictured! These days that’s hard to believe. My boys and I lived the place and its proximity to beach and activities. We will stay there again if we are I the outer banks.

Look no further-stay HERE!

This was our 4th stay at Lively Up Yourself, and though there have been some subtle changes and upgrades the cottage is as warm and inviting as it ever was! The decor is on point throughout and the amenities are perfect for a couple or small family getaway. Cindi and John are gracious hosts, very easy to get in touch with and communicate with from booking all the way to checkout and beyond. Great location, great weather, and the hot tub is just amazing. The jasmine-draped pergola over the top is a nice touch. We can’t wait to make our way back and enjoy a little bit of life on a sandbar!

Wonderful and close to everything

I loved the house! It was perfect for everything that we needed for our short trip over the holidays to the beach. Cindi was wonderful to work with and easy to contact. The house is so close to the beach and then close to everything in Kitty Hawk and was super clean!! It was such a great stay!

Cosy clean and comfortable

The pictures on line reeled me in but once you walk in, there is so much more that you don"t see from the pictures like the bamboo beams in the sunroom, the crown moldings,the well organized and equipped kitchen the expensive liquid hand soap not the watered down grocery store brand which you usually find. A hidden surprise in the bathroom that i didn"t discover for 2 days was the storage behind the mirrors and who lines these shelves? Cindy is very detail oriented and it shows in all of her design elements. The outside is equally impressive with the squishy soft and green meticulously manicured lawn.The landscaping and flowers were beautiful. Cindy and John truly show alot of love for their property and they are very responsive throughout the process.Cindy i hope to meet you next time.This is truly a home away from home and we can't wait to come back. Thank you for sharing your lovely property.

Late Summer Stay

Lively up yourself was perfect for a first-time Outer Banks trip! The house was very clean. We loved the large kitchen that was nicely stocked, and the backyard was great as well. Close enough to the beach to walk, which is exactly what I want when I go to the beach. I loved the proximity to grocery stores, and basically anything else you could need. I would definitely return!

Stay was awesome

I loved the cozy little home. It was perfect for the much needed getaway for my Mom and myself. It was immaculately clean ehen we arrived. I loved the back yard where we spent a lot of our time. The hot tub is HUGE and I loved the natural look of the pagota with the vines going upward and making the roof of the area. Actually I loved all the landscaping. You can tell the owner takes pride in the home. I would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing time at the beach and even more of a plus: the beach is in walking distance as well as a Dairy Queen. The owner is fast to respond also and very nice.

Lively yourself Up!!!!

Upon arrival we texted the owner to let her know we had arrived. The door combination to enter the property was so easy. The property was immaculate inside and out. The kitchen was roomy & when stocked. The 3 bedrooms were very accommodating for 4 adult women. The outdoor shower was very nice with hot & cold running water and also a outside spigot to wash sand off your feet. The beach was a block & 1/2 away. Also for your convenience there was a deli/grocery/gas station a block away with ice & great deli sandwiches which we got to take to the beach. I will definitely be coming back to stay here again. Cindi & her husband were easy to reach if needed and responded very quickly to our texts. No issues with this property at all.

Vacation paradise

It made our vacation better; it was like home away from home. The cute decor the flowers the fenced in yard with grass was amazing ! The house was stocked, clean, and just all around amazing. Would definitely stay here again :)

Great Beach House

This was our first time traveling to the OBX and we absolutely loved it. This is the perfect little get away. The house is decorated so nicely and it is very clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you may need. Communication with Cindi is perfectly easy and she made herself available if there was anything we needed. Check in/out was also simple. We loved the location and how close it was to the beach. The outside area at the house was great with the hammock and hot tub and it was fenced in. We loved it. It was a little oasis on its own. You need to pack your own sheets (there is 1 queen and 2 double beds)...and towels. Other than that bring yourself. The only thing that was tricky with two teenagers is the bedrooms are connected and you need to go through one to get to the other. We just put the sleeper in the back room and it worked out fine! Thanks again Cindi for a wonderful stay!! Would not hesitate to book this vacation home!!

Home run!

This is a perfect vacation house for a family of four. Everything in the house is updated and impeccable. Yard and landscaping are beautiful. House is very well stocked. Kitchen had all the cookware you need to cook in if you want to. Walk out the front door, make a left and you’re on the beach in two minutes. Was a pleasure to stay at Cindi and John’s house!
