Perfect location for the beach

We loved this beach cottage! It is perfectly located for a quick walk to the beach. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms offered plenty of room for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals between take out and restaurant runs. The host was very responsive. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay! The location is great, close to lots of stores and restaurants and quick walk to the beach. Check in was a breeze and the house was clean and ready for our arrival. The host was great with communication and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back in the future!

Very nice place for a family vacation

The place is clean, comfortable and just as described. Truly walking distance to the beach and Wright Brothers Memorial. Our family of 5 especially enjoyed the large living area. Would definitely recommend.

Nice little spot

Easy to access, with easy access to the beaches. We stayed here easily with 5 young kids, and had no problems hauling them (and all their stuff) to the beach and back with no issues. We are glad this was available!

Cozy Clean and Pet friendly home! Perfect for family time.

This was a great family getaway. Great layout for family to be together. We love cooking and appreciated the open kitchen with room for more than one cook. Kitchen had everything we needed. Neighbors were friendly and beach was great!

Cute Little Beach House

We were in town for a car event. We usually just do a day trip but decided to stay for the weekend. The house was perfect for the family, with plenty of room for everyone. It was in the perfect spot, just a short walk to the beach. The host left us snacks which was very nice. Would definitely come back again.

Great Experience

-Owners were excellent to communicate with. They were responsive and flexible. Really great experience with them. -Easy beach access. You have to cross the beach road, but there is a crosswalk- it was easy and safe to get to the beach.

Quick family vacation

Brought my kids and parents, and everyone had a good time. The house is exactly as it looks in pics. Cozy, but everything you need. Close and easy walk to the beach, for both an 8 and 72 year old. Just a 2-3min drive to grocery and retail stores. Great house for a great price!

October vacation

Overall the propery was as described. However, the bathroom outlets did not work and the washing maching did not operate as intended. It would not change cycles and took forever to fill. Otherwise everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay.

You shd definitely get washing machine fixed. You are probably wasting a lot of water with machine not operating correctly. We could not get it to stop

I would not recommend this property

There was broken and stained furniture, stained mattresses, and the garbage cans in the kitchen and bathrooms had not been emptied. There are cracks in the floor where it joins the cabinet area near the sink. The entire property seems to be original, back to the 1970s at minimum. The distance to the beach may be technically accurate, but there is a Telco Central Office next door that renders the beach vibe null. Although not the fault of the owner, there is a property across the street that has a dog that, if somehow loose, may be dangerous.

We enjoy the sand and the surf, visiting and climbing lighthouses, and trying local cuisine in our travels. We've always wanted a beach house on the island where we could get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to relax with our dogs. Dog friendly accommodations are sometimes difficult to find, so our beach getaway was the solution for us. Along the way we decided to share it with others so that they can experience a piece of the magic that is the heart of the Outer Banks and not have to leave their best friend at home. The Outer Banks is great food, great people, and Southern hospitality in a rustic beach setting - but it's so much more.

We love this property for the convenience of a location very close to the beach access while still close to restaurants and activities, and without sacrificing the serenity of a quiet residential neighborhood that really feels like a beach retreat. The location is just 3-4 minute walk to the sand, and the same distance from the front gate of the Wright Brothers Memorial.

The layout of the home is open and free-flowing so the living room, dining room, kitchen, and breakfast bar are open to one another as one large space for relaxing and enjoying time off the beach. The two full bathrooms provide one option directly off the main living area, and the second is more private and quietly nestled between the more private king bedroom and the queen bedroom with its own exit and stairs down to the yard, perfect for when you want to arrive or depart without disturbing others. The small landing at the top of the exit steps faces north so gets sun all day long and makes a nice perch to spy local birds.

Walkable to the beach without the hustle and bustle!

The home is in a residential neighborhood with easy access to the beach (560 ft!) at Asheville Beach Access and a 5 min. walk to the Wright Brothers Memorial for exploring it's offerings or watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Quieter, residential neighborhood that is close to everything: mini golf, movies, shopping, grocery stores, and local eateries with an ample, secluded back yard (unfenced) for relaxing as well as an east facing deck for coffee and sunrise or evening relaxation with a glass of wine. Or, you can relax in the bonus shaded seating area below the house.

Most of our neighbors are full time residents and our street is generally quiet.
