The hosts, Dick and Barbara, were very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view in a nice cozy cottage. Loved having the breakfast ready for us when we arrived. Clean and well stocked with cooking and dining needs.

We rented this lovely little home for our son and his girlfriend while they visited over the holidays. We live close by. This gave us another space to visit in. And what a beautiful location!!! The little house was bright and sweet! Comfortable furniture and a breath taking view. They saw an eagle and multiple birds and walked down to the beach. They said the bed was very comfortable and the place had good heating. What a pleasure to meet Dick! Very kind and engaging! Thank you for facilitating great memories!!

Just as beautiful as all the pics ! The location was perfect, right next to the state park. The cottage was perfect, extremely clean and well stocked with anything we may need. The breakfast items, also above & beyond and owners Barbara and Dick were wonderful hosts. 10 out of 10 ratings are well deserved. Lucky we found this spot for our getaway. We had a wonderful weekend. Thanks!

Check in was a breeze and thoughtful host gifts were offered during our stay. The location of the property is excellent with view of the Puget sound, Tolmie State park within easy walking distance and a fire pit and kayaks on the beach for guest use.

Beautiful panoramic views! We enjoyed kayaking, beach combing, hiking the trails at Tolmie state park, dining at nearby restaurants and reading in the hammock. So peaceful and relaxing! We will definitely make it a yearly tradition!

This place is so peaceful… we were able to see all kinds of wildlife my favorite was the bald eagle that came right up to a tree about 200’ away it was majestic one downfall I was uneasy going down the path to water for my ankle but felt more confident with the walking sticks they left behind to use Barbara thought of everything you would need and everything had its own place well organized!!

Hosts we wonderful! What a perfect little cottage in this perfect PNW setting. The only sounds were from nature and the views were unbeatable. Loved my stay here!

Beautiful view from a lovely, cozy, well appointed cottage. The owners are friendly and definitely know how to make you feel welcome and comfortable. It’s a perfect little cottage, great for two people, or for yourself if you are in need of a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Silent Serenity!

My wife and I have family in the area so this was a perfect location to have our little place of paradise. We were blessed with both beautiful views and wonderful hospitality from Dick and Barbara. Barbara and Dick welcomed us with a clean and organized atmosphere. With attention to details and added amenities like the continental breakfast on the first morning. Our grand kids came for a visit and had a wonderful time on the beachfront! Thank you Dick and Barbara for being apart of our weekend getaway!

Puget Cottage

This is the perfect little cottage for two people. It was quiet and peaceful. My husband and I had a relaxing time and our hosts were delightful. The little kitchenette was perfect! It's a nice little jaunt down to the beach from the cottage and you have the best view of Mount Olympic. I couldn't have found a better place to stay, it was honestly just what we needed.

UNFORGETTABLE

As a couple, my spouse and I have stayed in B&Bs in 45 states. While most of those accommodations were fine, and many were lovely, none come close to this Puget Sound cottage. Where to begin: The view was breathtaking, the grounds impeccably landscaped, and the cottage itself was a small space of perfect design. The owners thought of everything and somehow fit it all in seamlessly. The tiny kitchen was well-stocked, the bed was comfy, there was even great water pressure in the (admittedly small) shower. The owners' sensitivity to the value of little creature comforts--soothing music playing upon arrival, food provisions enough for two breakfasts in the fridge, a goodbye basket on the doorstep upon our departure, complete with snacks and souvenirs--reveals just how deeply invested they are in their guests' TOTAL experience. It is as though caring for this exquisite space, AND for those of us lucky enough to share it for a brief time, is a kind of ministry for them. My spouse and I drove away with great reluctance on our last day, marveling over and over to each other, "We are so lucky."

Beautiful Retreat

We spent two nights in this wonderful cottage. It’s a very nice, well maintained and charming place. The hike down to the beach and along the coast was nice. We didn’t kayak because of the wind and tide times, but that is a nice option.

Great little gem

Had a wonderful few days. Accommodations were perfect for the two of us. I showed off some serious toaster oven skills and the two burner stovetop was just right! Sweet bonus of eggs and muffins was just perfect! So much to explore. Path to the beach is steep but just take your time and grab one of the walking poles and you will be fine. Would recommend and already have! Thank you!

Our wedding was in the front yard of this property in 1980. We have offered Puget View Cottage for many years, initially as a bed and breakfast, and as a vacation rental for about eight years. We have met many wonderful people from around the world, and look forward to adding you to our list of former guests.

During 2012 and '13 we traveled overseas, completing long distance hikes we had long dreamed of doing---the Coast to Coast Trail in England, West Highland Way, The Camino across northern Spain, Walker's Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt, Kilimanjaro and a safari (and two months of volunteering in the Burundi :) Two months in the hinterlands of Nepal, a summit of Fuji in Japan, and JMT and Whitney in California---whew! In 2014 we completed our final leg of the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington.

We look forward to sharing the magic of this peaceful, beautiful part of the world--with you!

Dick is from Oregon, Barb from Alaska. We met here, never dreaming we would stay this long, but why would we want to live anywhere else? Especially when Barb says 'this is like Alaska, but you don't need a float plane to enjoy it.'

Even after so many years, we continue to be inspired daily by the up-close fly-by of an eagle, the majesty of a summer sunset, or the mystery of fog silently lifting. It's easy to be overwhelmed with gratitude in the midst of such a glorious setting---the spirit of this place.
