This is probably the nicest vacation rental I’ve ever stayed at. The house is perfect. The location is astounding. The property is beautiful. The views are wonderful.
This is obviously a much-loved home for a family. It’s well taken care of, and the house is filled with books and mementos. It’s a very comfortable place to hang out. They have nice belongings, and a couple rules to follow about stuff. If I had a really high-spirited little kid, I might pick another place.
The property was landscaped by a very thoughtful person. Really beautiful flora. I enjoyed watching the bees come attend the plants. Lots of other critters visit the property. This is a great place for nature lovers of all stripes.
The house is all of ten paces from a stunning national park, one of whose trails runs right along the driveway. This isn’t to suggest that you’ll see many people, the property is quite remote. We saw only two hikers, one of whom was a neighbor.
The trail by the house leads to a beautiful hilltop about one (hilly, switch-backed) hour away by foot. I set off on that trail in the fog, and by the time I got to the trailhead, the fog had burned off and I enjoyed a breathtaking view for miles in every direction. Wow!
Point Reyes National Seashore is a stunning park. Wonderful views, drives and hikes. We saw elephant seals and elk. Sat on a remote, miles-long beach and watched the surf pound.
The property manager did a great job. Great documentation, no-hassle access to property. The property manager claims no cell service, but ours worked great, and Waze navigated us to the property easily. It is a bit remote. Buy all of the stuff you need before you go. Kitchen is well-appointed. Surprisingly great internet speeds.
Bring gnat spray. They’re not everywhere, but where they are, they’re for sure there.
Beautiful place. Don’t miss it! It’s pretty special.
