There has been lots of bear activity in the Lake Tahoe area. We want to keep out "unwanted bear guests" and have installed an electric wire system.
The electric wire system is easy to use and has a main switch by the front door. Instructions are posted.

This house is awesome! The pictures don’t do it justice. It is was bigger and nicer than what the pictures show. We were blessed to be able to rent this home for 2 weeks over the summer and it had everything we wanted and more. The beach is just a stones throw, coffee shop is super close to walk to, and downtown is about a mile down the road. The home was fully stocked with everything you will need. The owners truly took the time to make everything so easy. There is even a binder with a list of “where to find me” that lists alphabetically where to find almost anything you can think of. We hope to stay again next summer!

A great place for a family get together

This is a wonderful place to stay, especially with grandkids! This house is well appointed, having everything you might need during a stay (I even saw a sewing kit). Being able to seat everyone (11!) around one large table for meals allowed for a lot of laughter and family time. Our grandkids did not want to leave. The owner, Suzie, was extremely responsive when I had a question upon check-in. Combine that with access to the private beach and a very short walk to Tahoe House Bakery and I cannot think of a better location to rent to bring the whole family together. If you like the pictures, it is even better in person. Highly recommended.

Good Time in Tahoe

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The check in process was easy and Suzie was very responsive to a couple of questions after we checked in. The house was a fantastic place to hang out and sleep in between activities at Tahoe, and the hot tub relaxing at the end of a busy day. The location was perfect, near shops and restaurants, but not in the midst of town. The kitchen is well equipped, though a couple of appliances dated. We really enjoyed our stay!

Tahoe City Gem

We had an amazing time in this comfy beautiful home! The location can't be beat, the home was well stocked, the yard perfect for our 4 grandkids to play. Having access to the private beach was wonderful too. We will definitely book again for our group of 11. Thank you John and Suzy!

Tahoe Sierra Estates

We had a great time at this lovely Tahoe house despite the terrible fires across the lake! The house had everything we needed for a fun family gathering! Loved the private beach, quiet neighborhood & proximity to town. We used the spa. played horseshoes, barbecued & generally enjoyed family time in this well equipped, comfy home!! We would love to return when there is not a major wildfire burning in the region! Thanks for sharing your lovely home!!

Excellent location

The backyard was great for family activities and the kids enjoyed the jacuzzi. The home itself could have been cleaner, ie carpets were stained, dusty throughout. Kitchen was stocked with pots and pans. Needs upgrades on carpet and appliances.

Family vacation

Lots of space for everyone. House was well equipped. Met our needs nicely. Great space for parking. We had four different family groups driving in and we were worried about enough vehicle space. Nice family home.

Family fun in Tahoe

First time use of this property. From checking in through checking out, everything was wonderful. Very comfortable, family friendly accommodations at a great location. See you again next year if not sooner.

Very comfortable

The house was very comfortable for our family, large enough we weren't on top of each other and in a great location. The private beach was very nice and not crowded. We really enjoyed our stay.

Diamond well polished property

Where do I. Begin . It is a real home and add the private beach with pier and my grandchildren swam to the pier at the resort next door the water is not that deep. Also . Home is close to town for walking to and it is just perfect quiet and comfortable.

Perfect family vacation spot!

We really enjoyed our week long stay! The owner was extremely flexible letting us check in early and stay a little late. Backyard perfect for hanging out at home - the hot tub, horseshoes, sauna were all a huge hit! Easy walk to Tahoe House or Tahoe City every morning for coffee or to the bike shop.

Perfect home in a beautiful location

This home was absolutely perfect. As all previous reviews have mentioned, any and everything you might need has been thought of! This was a family trip of three generations. My 5 grandchildren (6-14y) LOVED this home and did not want to leave. In fact, they all agreed this was their favorite rental home EVER! The loft doubled as a fantastic "fort" with its rope and ladder entry. To say it was a huge hit would be an understatement. Perfect for the kids to play games and talk. To add to their delight, there were crawdad "fishing poles" which they used off the dock at the beach. They "fished" for hours, named their crawdads and, of course, at end of day returned their "friends" to the lake. The rocky lake entry provided great fun and exploration also. The adults loved the location, HOA beach, the outdoor spa and the wonderful beds. The beds were without a doubt comfortable which is not always the case in rental properties. The property location was perfect for hiking, boating, playing and other outdoor activities. The beach area was small but plenty big enough with grass and trees, sand, and rocks at the water's edge. The kids loved playing and walking along the boulders. The HOA beach was secluded, well cared for and never crowded. The lake as always was gorgeous! Lastly, the home makes the most of its square footage. It was wonderfully designed for families to enjoy each other but at times may need a quiet moment. With 10 of us we never felt crowded. The large backyard was also perfect for outdoor games. My grandchildren have asked to return this winter! Thank you to Suzie for a wonderful vacation. We will return!

Great family cabin

We had an amazing time at this cabin!! It was perfect for a large group with kids! John and Suzie really did of everything to make our trip unforgettable! Can’t wait to come back next summer.

Great Property!

We had family from across the country meet up at this fantastic property. It is well organized and perfectly located near town. The owners are fantastic and have literally thought of everything you could need. Many magical memories were captured here and all around the gorgeous region!

Perfectly​ Appointed!!!

We stayed over the New Year's Holiday, and the trip was terrific. We had 3 families with children ranging in ages from 1-9. The owner has thought of everything!! She stocks the pantry with all the staples you could ask for, and is very organized for all household needs. The house feels like a cabin is very comfortable. Absolutely will stay again, the house was great in the winter, looking forward to trying it out in the summer!!!

Great Family Christmas!

Our first Christmas away from home and we couldn’t have picked a better home in Tahoe to celebrate our white Christmas! Although initially I was a bit nervous, our arrival at this wonderful home immediately dispelled any doubts I had. This incredibly spacious, yet cozy, cabin has everything necessary for a relaxing and warm get-away…it met and exceeded all of our expectations! As mentioned in the many other favorable reviews, the owners are incredibly responsive and organized – they do everything possible to ensure your stay with them is everything you want it to be…they have provided a well-stocked home-away-from home with everything you could possibly need! Just a short walk or drive and you’re in Tahoe City with access to our favorite breakfast place, Rosie’s Cafe! Due to the great location, our family was also able to walk to Granlibakken for the day for a wonderful afternoon of sledding. After the sledding, it was great returning home knowing that the beautifully maintained hot tub and sauna were awaiting our arrival. In addition, the home is very close to our favorite ski spot, Squaw and also offers easy access to both Homewood and Alpine Meadows. Can’t rave enough about the location as it was so easy to get to despite the fresh snow – frequent plowing kept the street and driveway open throughout our entire stay. The owners also ensured that there was plenty of firewood available for our arrival – spending time around the fireplace made for a truly relaxing vacation. Sitting and chatting around the fireplace, playing games around the game table in the living room or building snowmen in the backyard are just of the few things that we enjoyed during our visit…cooking Christmas dinner together in the kitchen (with all the comforts of home like a double oven and more) while listening to the lovely sound system play our favorite holiday music, was another way we passed our time during our relaxing visit at this great home. The location can’t be beat and the house lends itself beautifully to families…the owners are very responsive and incredibly helpful and kind. You really get the sense that this property is very well cared for and their guests receive the same attentive care. We know we did! Without a doubt, we shall book here again the next time we go to Tahoe…hoping to try it during the summer this time as the beach was only a few steps away and very inviting!
