This beautiful and spacious property was perfect for our family Thanksgiving gathering of 24. The interiors are just as beautiful as the exterior, and the log construction of the home extra special. Can't think of one thing we needed or wanted that wasn't available to us. The kitchen was ideal (light, bright, and very roomy) for cooking Thanksgiving dinner with our five adult daughters. Couldn't have been better for that. There was dinner seating for all of us, 14 at a very unique wood slab table surrounded by natural log dining chairs. All 24 of us were able to gather in the great room for visiting, games, jigsaw puzzles and resting in front of the fire. The parking is capacious out in front and all the 12 grandchildren (ages 7-20) loved shooting baskets outside and playing ping pong, pool, and foosball in the basement game room. The basement bedrooms were perfect for 6 granddaughters on one side with a 2-sink, 2-shower, and enclosed water closet bathroom, and the other side was great for the boys, with a full bathroom. The historic church down the street was interesting to visit and we played capture the flag at a park down the street and took a long walk in town. The scenery is open and attractive, and there is easy access to St. George (where we visited the Red Hills Desert Gardens and Slot Canyon before lunch downtown), Hurricane ( where we took in the family movie "Wonder"), and hiked the petrified dunes nearby in Snow Canyon. All in all, it was a memorable 4 days for our family!! We would definitely gather at the Pine Valley Family Lodge again!
