RENT THEM SEPARATELY, OR TOGETHER (suitable for a large group, 20+)

PHANTOM is a spacious and comfortable 3 bedroom + loft / 3 bathroom log home, close to Lake Placid village, yet secluded from the main road. Wrap around porch, overlooking a lovely stream. Pet friendly. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place, which can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people.

On the main floor, PHANTOM log home has a king size master bedroom (sleeps 2), together with adjoining bathroom including a Jacuzzi bathtub. There is also a second bathroom on the main floor separate from the bedroom.
On the second floor, PHANTOM log home has one bedroom with a queen size bed (sleeps 2) and one bedroom with 2 twins size beds (sleeps 2). On the second floor we also have a roomy loft with 2 bunk beds (sleeps 4), and a separate 3rd bathroom.

This is a perfect location for the nature lovers in a secluded and quiet spot, but still within a short distance (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive) from the Main Street.

Great location

Great location, plenty of space for the family. The only thing to note is the “4th bedroom” is just a loft area at the top of the stairs, no door or closets but that did not impact my family. Overall we enjoyed our time!

A wonderful week at Lake Placid

Our family came for a week's holiday from Indiana and stayed in this beautiful home. The location was perfect, about one mile walk into Lake Placid, which we did most mornings and easy access any where you wanted to go. The home is very well kept, comfortable and nice space for family living. I would recommend this home to anyone wishing to visit the Lake Placid area, we had a wonderful time.

Great Location

Phantom was a great place to stay. There was plenty of room and the location close to town worked well for us. Overall the place was neat and clean. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms and showers for all. The living area was comfortable and the fireplace was very enjoyable.The outdoor grill could use a thorough cleaning and some of the kitchen pans are worn out. All in all, a nice stay.

Great ADK Stay

Clean spacious and perfect for a group! We had adults coming to Lake Placid from all over the northeast so the keyless door code lock was a great amenity to have! We had a beautiful stress free time from check in to check out! The Phantom house was accurate to the listing description and we had plenty of space for 10 adults. We spent a majority of our time relaxing on the porch and made use of the grill for several meals! From hikes big and small to dinner with view and a night on the town, were centrally located for all of our guest ADK adventures!! We would love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone loking for a great place in lake placid!

Well equipped and excellent location

We enjoyed our stay . The kitchen had everything we needed to eat in ( and we ate all our meals in). We appreciated that beds were made and linens readily available . We celebrated the new year in the family room and kitchen. We enjoyed playing games at the spacious table and at the island. The cozy fireplace was awesome too after coming home from Whiteface and our day of hiking . The convenient location was great for everything we did including enjoying the shops in Lake Placid . Everyone in our group of 10 would highly recommend the Phantom !

Beautiful; supplies & service planned thoughtfully

We loved the space and décor. After a long day’s drive I was grateful to see the beds already made up when we arrived. Thank you! The mattresses were good and the quiet a boon. Loved the cool air and hearing the gentle tumbling of the nearby brook with beautiful blue asters beside and a canopy of stars above. The first day hiking, Ron slipped off a rock and into the wetland area we were walking through. He was not hurt and I was thinking how nice it was going to be to return to a washer and dryer downstairs. The space, cookware, and supplies in the kitchen were great. It was so easy to prepare our own meals and picnics. Congratulations on your initiative and thank you for caring to create such a hospitable home and support for your guests! We have travelled throughout Europe and North America and can say this is one of the most comfortable rentals we have had.

Nice House, Convenient Location

The house itself is very nice. Spacious, plenty of room...nice common area. Beds are comfortable. Location is incredibly convenient. Three minute drive to downtown Lake Placid...10 minute drive to some great hiking. The one thing I didn't love is the trade off for proximity to town The house is not remote...it sits two structures off the main road and is located behind a business. The house is great, but lacks that remote/secluded feel.

Awesome host

It is great location with short and pleasant walk to downtown LP . House is very clean with all the amenities we needed. We loved the porch and trees that were blooming all around . House has a great mountain feeling and it is perfect for larger groups because of large living room . I loved the wall decorations and bed covers . Fridge and dishwasher are brand new We will come back again. Host was very friendly and was available any time we had questions. Thank you for wonderful experience

Perfect getaway

We had a great week of vacation in Lake Placid. We all loved the accomodations. The log home was clean, had a really neat layout, and was perfect for a group of 7 individuals and two dogs. It was easy to find and was close to Lake Placid. The owner was very nice to deal with. If you are looking for a great vacation in great accomodations this is your place.

Great cabin stay in LP!

The cabin was a great base camp for an active trip to Lake Placid! Whether skiing at Whiteface, taking in the Olympic sites in town, or enjoying a warm spring day from the porch, Sam's cabin was perfect. The kitchen was well-equipped and the jacuzzi was a definite plus. Sam was also a pleasure to work with. All-around great stay!

Ski getaway

We enjoyed our week-end. The house was great. Contact with the owner was excellent (complete information, rapid reply to emails). Close enough to Lake Placid so we could walk to the village. We also went skiing to Whiteface mountain which is an impressive resort but we were unlucky with the snow conditions...which means we want to go back and would not hesitate to rent the same house.

A Great College Reunion

Great house, amazing condition, very good price, exactly as advertised. Owner was very responsive to emails and questions. The house is nicely removed from the main street, but is still near enough to restaurants stores and attractions. The house is well stocked. You will never run out of spoons during your stay. We were a group of young college grads who came for a reunion, and this house exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend staying here!
