good:(1) great location, if you will be spending time near Independence Hall and related sites(2) large, well-furnished loft(3) working high-end appliances(4) massive dining table, seats large family(5) three parking garages within half-a-block(6) cleannot as good:elevator wasn't working while we were there

Great Spot!

The unit was fantastic. Super clean, spacious, and the location a block away from Independence Hall, was so great. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming into town for a Philly visit.

Great central location to venture out in Philly. Added bonus of garage parking made taking trips outside the city even easier with our rental car. Parking deck is less than a block down the road. You get the whole 4th floor and there was more than enough room to stretch out. Could easily add a whole sectional in there and still not be crowded. Coffee, sandwhich, and chocolate shop are in the same building. La Sacala's Italian is across the street for dinner as last minute dinner plans. Perfect for our Philadelphia adventure!

Good, with quirks

The apartment itself is a stylish place. Elevator directly to you apartment, brick, open layout, sliding barn doors on bedrooms, etc. You can also see the line for the Liberty Bell from the apartment. So nice. The place also comes with quirks, the top one being you hear the neighbors and they hear you (instructions came with admonition that we don’t wear shoes, especially high heels or the neighbors will call in a complaint). The neighborhood is a downtown one that euphemistically gets labeled as “in transition” - meaning you’ve got nice restaurants and junkies. Finally, pro-tip - no washclothes provided. Bring a shower kit with a scrunchie, soap, shampoo, etc.

This host is operating multiple units in this condo, & taking liberties to switch what you rented with another unit lesser in quality. They sent the first check-in instructions one week before our trip, then "re-sent" them the morning of our trip (while already on planes), and did not make any indication that the unit had changed.My partner was on a different flight, arrived a few hours before me, and encountered another family staying on the 4th floor!The host resisted acknowledging their mistake, and at no point offered to reimburse us for a 200 rideshare which my traveling companion had to take to relatives on the night before his mother's memorial service, all before my flight landed.The couches were not as comfortable as those pictured in the listing (4th floor), and wifi went out for prolonged periods both nights while trying to stream a movie.On the ground floor is a dance studio which played VERY LOUD dance music until 11pm on Friday. The floor was shaking. I suspect this would have been much less on the 4th floor. Saturday, the music was jazz, not as loud, and they stopped at 10pm.Also: the 3rd floor tenant complains about people walking above, however they were literally rearranging furniture, after midnight, above the master bed.On the plus side, kitchen & bathrooms were very nice and the beds were super comfortable with great linens and towels. Location-wise (aside from the dance studio), it was perfect for walking downtown & quick access to freeways.

Nice stay

Exactly as described. Clean, industrial feel, open floor plan with a lot of room to stretch out. The inside is a little sterile (no special touches). Very comfortable beds. Excelling Old City location 1 block from liberty bell. Great communication with host. Would stay again!

Great night in the city

We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space to relax during the day and get ready for a wedding. Perfect location for events at the Union Trust and Hotel Monaco. We walked to everything and were able to relax before cocktail hour. Scott was easily available through email. The space was beautiful and clean. Would definitely stay again for a night out downtown.

Disappointed

We rented this for a wedding in downtown Philadelphia. Location was very convenient for all the wedding festivities. For the price we paid I was just hoping for a little more. The sinks in the master bath were clogged with poor drainage. The bathtub in second bathroom drains poorly and your feet are in standing water. The cable is really basic and there is little to watch. The TV in the master did not work correctly. It is much dirtier than expected and needs a paint job. It is very noisy with traffic and the trash trucks.There is no ice maker in the freezer. The hot water does not hold out for 5 adult showers. You have to stagger your showers. There are no washcloths. The dryer does not dry very well. Would not stay again.

Perfect place to enjoy company and as a base to tour the historical portion of the city.

The place was clean and the staff was very attentive. I especially want to thank them for an enjoyable stay in Philly.
