My favorite place to stay in the Townsend area. Very clean, cozy, well kept cabin. Everything you need is there. It was my 4th time staying here and I can’t wait to return. Laurel Mist is top notch.

This was our 8th stay in Laurel Mist since 2022.The cabin is like a second home to us. It is always clean and the location is wonderful.Area is quiet and feels secluded although there are cabins nearby. We hope to go again in 2026!

The cabin was well-equipped and the perfect size for us. We so appreciated that our dog was welcome, too. The inside of the cabin was clean, but there was a musty odor under the sinks and in the closet/laundry room. The windows and screens were quite dirty as well. Otherwise, the cabin was lovely and comfortable, and the neighborhood was peaceful and pretty. We enjoyed our time in Townsend.

The cabin was amazing! It was the perfect size for us. Loved having the half bath. Nicest cabin we've ever stayed in. Clean, quiet and just so awesome. We'd definitely stay here again if we return to Townsend, TN. Highly recommend! We were there Monday, Sept 29 and checked out on Friday, Oct 3 2025.

We loved the cozy cabin and it was so comfortable. Everything we needed for a week in the Smokies. The location was convenient for the Cade’s Cove side of the park. A lovely setting- quiet and peaceful. Would absolutely stay here on another trip!

Well, it was my 35th wedding anniversary and we loved it! Unfortunately, my husband passed. It left me with some great memories. Owner very kind and respectful, cabin super clean and spacious. My husband fell asleep on that covered screened porch several times.

The cabin was great. Had everything we needed. The mattress was very comfortable. Was easy to get to in a quiet neighborhood. Screen porch was great to sit on in the morning and evening. We saw a bear, 2 deer and a coyote near by. Cyndi was easy to communicate with starting with approval to bring our pet all the way through check-out.

We loved the cabin and location however there were a few issues that should be easily remedied. We battled ants in the kitchen all week. Even though we bought spray there were always more appearing. The light in the laundry/closet only worked sometimes. The screened in porch would have been wonderful except for spider webs so we did not utilize it.We were refunded 100 for our inconvenience, which we appreciated.

It was great. Just a few pesky ants in the kitchen and I believe the half bath exhaust fan leaked when it rain. We enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable, cozy and quiet.

On the drive into Townsend there’s a sign that says “the peaceful side of the Smokey’s” and I couldn’t sum it up any better. The cabin is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood filled with woods and wildlife. We saw a bear from our cabin and on the drive in. The cabin was exactly as described, clean, and comfortable. It took us about 30 minutes to get to Cade’s Cove from the cabin. We look forward to staying again.

Great location but TLS needed

The cabin’s beautiful, peaceful setting—completely secluded among the trees—made our stay feel like a true woodland retreat. The location is perfect if you love nature and wildlife. We saw Deer up close daily.We did run into a few issues:The French doors to the patio were stiff and hard to open or close, likely due to a roof leak above them when it rains.The bed was firmer than expected, making it tough to get comfortable (a 3" mattress topper from Walmart solved the problem for us).The metal patio chairs were uncomfortable, so we ended up sitting on pillows.The igniter on the grill doesn't work, so remember to bring something to light the grill if you plan on grilling.With a little TLC, this cabin would be an absolute gem.

I have been selling Smoky Mountain Real Estate since 2007 and managing Smoky Mountain Rental Properties since 2014. As the Owner and Principal Broker of a Townsend based Real Estate Firm, I have been in and out of hundreds of rental cabins. Feeling strongly that people want to be treated to a clean and well stocked cabin in a private surrounding, my husband and I decided to see if our theory was correct. We purchased our first cabin in 2014 and put it in service. The demand was overwhelming, and we soon purchased our second and third. The owners of Laurel Mist purchased this cabin from us and we agreed to manage the rental of this cabin as well, since it has the same private setting and warm interior decor that our guests enjoy. We felt Laurel Mist was a perfect match for our clients.

The atmosphere and location of this cabin provide the perfect getaway for the owners. Nestled into the trees and well off the roadway, the privacy abounds. Townsend is a small town that is a gateway community to the National Park. To visit the area opens up the entire park to visitors. This cabin has a warm interior with a huge main living space and stacked stone fireplace. The french doors that lead to the screened in back porch add a bright and inviting outdoor living area to the already spacious interior.
It was for the owners, a perfect choice to enjoy themselves, and to share with other guests to the area.
With strong ties to UT, this home away from home was a no brainer!
