The apt is in a good neighborhood, and is within walking distance to the grocery, restaurants, and bars. We were dissatisfied with the apt. and the way we were treated when we brought up the issues.
First issue: Day 1 - No propane for the grill. When we contacted the owner via messenger, he said we were in charge of purchasing the propane - (which I can understand, but it is a shared grill with other tenants, so I guess I am suppose to remove the propane after each use)... and then proceeds to tell me that only one burner on the grill works.
Second issue: Day 10-
Refrigerator no longer works. It would not reach an adequate temperature to keep meat, and produce fresh. When we contacted the owner, he sent over the property manager. He inspected the fridge. I requested a large cooler to keep my meat on ice until they found a solution. The next evening they returned with a new fridge, and that worked for a matter of a few hours and we were reaching back out to them for a new one. The maintenance guy said "it is probably plugged in to the wrong outlet, just move it and plug it in to another outlet."
So...move a fridge, that does not sound easy! We requested the property manager come back over and he refused to. We finally got a new fridge that following day. We do understand that issues will arise in rental homes. The final straw was the property owner emailing about our daughter spending the day with us. The disrespect and rudeness was what made us not want to stay there and unfortunately will not be renting from them again.
