We arrived on a dark and foggy night so we had a bit of trouble finding the cabin/house at first but Anthony was able to help us find our way on a quick call. The next morning the fog had cleared completely and we were greeted by a very nice water view! The water seems so much closer in person than it does in the listing pictures so I was happy with that. It's a really cool view actually (or maybe just for me as a person who doesn't spend much time observing the tides) because you get to see the differences between high and low tides.
The cabin/house itself is really nice. It is spacious and bright with big windows throughout. The kitchen was well equipped, the television has a Roku, and the wifi worked well. The upstairs did appear to have some child-proofing already in place which was helpful for us as we were traveling with two young kids. A lot of the outlets were covered and there was a baby-gate to cover the stairs. I wouldn't say the baby-gate is foolproof since it is held in place by eye-hooks and one of the eye-hooks was missing from the wall but we were able to make it work. There is plenty of parking and a nice big mud-room is available to organize your outdoor gear if you're visiting for outdoor activities like hiking or fishing.
Negatives: the cell phone service was terrible (something I've found to be the case in much of Phippsburg which isn't the fault of the owners, of course), and we couldn't get the jacuzzi tub working (in fairness, we did not bother reaching out for help from the owner), and the loud wooden stairs (tough with young sleepers nearby).
I would 100% stay in this house again if I was visiting the area!
