It’s hard to put into words how wonderful our stay was at Bonefish Bella Vista. Jean-Louis was very attentive to every detail and made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. He is a gentle and sensitive person who loves to share his love for life on the island and the beauty that surrounds Bonefish Bella Vista. The kitchen is well equipped for gourmet meals and having a gas grill makes cooking a pleasure. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming and snorkeling all around in the Sound. It was a sad morning when we had to leave and Jean-Louis gave us a heartfelt adieu as we headed home. We have never had such a wonderful vacation in all our lives and look forward to seeing Jean-Louis and Bonefish Bella Vista again very soon.

Great place!

Great communication, super friendly hosts!The view is amazing the islands are lovely to kayak to.It feels like a cozy home and not a sterile hotel.Loved our stay!

Amazing view

The views from the porch were breathtaking. We had 4 adults and had plenty of room. The private beach was great and was able to float in the water. We used the kayaks to explore the sandbar. Getting to the house from Queens Hwy was a bit rough but I rented a jeep based on a prior review and had no issues. The house had everything we needed and truly enjoyed our stay.

Bonefish Bella Vista

We had a wonderful time staying in the upstairs apartment during our trip to Exuma! The apartment is exactly as advertised and is beautiful inside and out. The view of the flats is amazing, and all of the amenities make it feel like home. Our hosts were so responsive, and although they weren't able to meet us in person, their caretaker was so helpful and always available. Jean Louis and Jackie, thank you so very much for sharing your Exuma home with us! We hope to be back to visit again soon!

Exuma getaway

House is adorable and located on a beautiful stretch of water. Best is balcony stretching entire back of house. Easy access to rest of island. Would definitely return.

Paridise and privacy

We really enjoyed out stay on the property. It was close to everything, yet private enough to feel as if we had the whole island to ourselves. Monica was there to greet us and made our entire stay perfect. The house was amazing and had everthing we needed. We can’t wait to stay again.

A week in paradise!

An awesome week on the breathtakimg Exuma flats with the most gracious of hosts/owners. Great beachfront! Loved the massive attached raised deck with beautiful sunset views nestled in a lovingly tended tropical garden... We can't wait to return!

Absolutely Amazing!

My husband and two daughters just returned from Exuma and we had a fantastic time! The house was just lovely and immaculate inside! It was exactly as depicted in the pictures. The view was beautiful and the location on the flats very peaceful. The owners were extremely helpful, prompt to answer any questions, and provided a lot of information about the island prior to us arriving. We will definitely book there again when returning to Exuma!

Island Oasis

This is a beautiful property that is operated by lovely, gracious hosts. We greatly enjoyed our time in Exuma and much of that was thanks to the accommodations and the hospitality of Jean Louis and Jackie. They provided everything you might need to enjoy your time on the island (beach chairs, towels, etc.), as well as everything you might need to enjoy your time at the house. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and visiting the beautiful sand bar that is right out the back door. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy time on Exuma.

Excellent Property & Hosts

We have rented from Jean-Louis and Jackie numerous times now. Their property is in excellent shape and has every amenity you would need for a stay in Exuma. The air conditioning works great and the afternoon views from the porch are remarkable. There are multiple Jatakas available for use, along with beach chairs, an umbrella, etc. Jackie & Jean-Louis are incredibly gracious hosts and we’ll be back soon.

Bella Vista, indeed!

Our little family of three could not have asked for a better place to stay during our recent trip to Exuma. Jean-Louis and Jackie were the perfect hosts, providing things we might need during our stay and information about the island. The house is well maintained and clean, and has beautiful views of the flats from the balcony. We enjoyed using the kayaks to explore the ocean outside, and were never disappointed by our hosts recommendations of places to see or eat. We are so grateful for all Jean-Louis and Jackie did to make sure we had a relaxing and restorative vacation.

Best rental in Exuma

Thank you Jacqueline and John-Louis for sharing your beautiful home (as well as beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, kayaks, etc)!! The location is perfectly central to all we wanted to do on the Island - Tropic of Cancer, Cocoplum Beach, Hoopers Bay, renting a boat in Georgetown. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the top deck - it’s unbelievably beautiful! It was great having the hosts next door as a resource and we didn’t hear the guests downstairs at all. We look forward to coming back to this house and Exuma. Thanks again!

Jean-Louis and Jackie were great hosts and the property was fantastic! You are literally steps away from the ocean and there is a huge sandbar about 100 feet out. They have chairs, an umbrella, life vests, kayaks, pool floats, snorkeling gear, coolers: everything you need for a day in the beach! The little cove in front of the house was perfect for our 2 year old; not too choppy and just the right height at low tide. We enjoyed having the hosts next door because it was our first time in the Bahamas. It was nice to say hello to them and get food recommendations.

Sunsets

My wife and I and our 9 year old stayed for a week, with my parents staying in the downstairs apartment. The vacation was perfect. Jean-Louis was away, but Jackie was the perfect hostess. We had everything we needed for a beach vacation, including beach chairs, coolers, etc. The house is very clean and modern. We particularly enjoyed hanging out on the balcony, eating dinner and watching spectacular sunsets. Rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle and maneuver the island roads slowly. We would definitely recommend this property.

Spectacular House and Host

Jean-Louis and Jacqueline were incredible host. They have provided everything you will need for an awesome stay. They offered to assist us in any way. They are truly wonderful people. The house was everything we expected and more. The view is awesome and you can walk right out of the house into the water. The house is located in a very convenient area. It is only 5 minutes to Georgetown and centrally located between all the wonderful beaches. We will definitely return to Exuma and stay with Jean-Louis and Jacqueline.

Beautiful home with gracious hosts!

Jean-Louis and Jackie's property is gorgeous and is exactly as pictured in the photos. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Jean-Louis and Jackie went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Checking in to see if we needed anything or to offer up suggestions for activities on the island. They provide everything you could need. Snorkeling gear, beach towels, coolers, beach toys and chairs. It was all much appreciated. Thanks again Jean-Louis and Jackie. We hope to return in the future!

Sons 21st Birthday and Open water dives in Exuma

We had an absolutely beautiful time! This little slice of heaven is just as described. Jacqueline and Jean Louis are excellent hosts and made our stay extra special. Excellent communication and tips to make our trip enjoyable including maximizing our time and helping us to secure an additional day of diving with Exuma Divers. The views, amenities, kayaks and star gazing made it spectacular! We comfortably fit in the 2 bedroom suite accommodation on the send floor, but would consider coming back with the rest of our kids and renting the adorable lower unit with private patio and screened porch and having the entire house. Conveniently located mid island to accommodate activities up and down the island from the Pig swimming up north down to little Exuma south. We can’t wait to go back.

Perfect in every way!

There are no words to describe this gorgeous home! The views are some of the most beautiful that we’ve ever seen, and from every room. Jean Louis and Jackie are incredible hosts, and haven’t missed a single detail in making this an absolutely unforgettable vacation. They have truly put their love and attention into it in every way. The home is clean, private and has everything you need. There are kayaks, snorkeling gear, etc. for the water. You can practically walk to a gorgeous sandbar, but the private beach is really all you need. It was so relaxing to hear the waves gently coming in, it’s just what we needed. We miss being there already! Thank you Jean Louis and Jackie for everything!

Amazing!!!

This was our first trip to Exuma and we absolutely fell in love! The apartment was perfect for our family of three! Upon arrival, Jean and Claudia immediately made us feel welcome and at home! The apartment was very clean and smelled so nice! They even had fresh fruit and preserves waiting for us in the refrigerator! The apartment was well stocked with kitchen necessities, bathroom necessities and bug spray! They also had plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, floats, etc for us to use! The beach in front of the apartment is beautiful and easy to access. They have kayaks that we enjoyed using to go out to the sandbar! The apartment has breathtaking views of the water! We loved being able to sit in our bed, drink coffee and see the gorgeous views! We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment and loved getting to meet Jean and Claudia! We highly recommend this beautiful place!
