Exuma Sol - Stunning Views from this Oceanfront Beach Cottage

Located on the beach within Hideaways at Palm Bay Beach Club with magnificent beachfront views and spectacular sunrises. Welcome to Exuma Sol (Cottage 34)!

Our Beach Cottage is perfect for a couple or family wanting extra space with two large bedrooms and two full bathrooms. We have many extras including a full kitchen, air-conditioning, 3 flat-screen TVs with cable, Wi-Fi internet, washer/dryer, beach accessories, and two comfortable porches with separate entries as well as access to two lounge chairs overlooking the ocean directly off of our front porch. Exuma Sol is an end unit giving you privacy and extra outdoor space only steps from the beach and calm waters of Elizabeth Harbour, with only a short beachfront stroll to Jolly Hall (arguably one of the best beaches on Exuma). Hideaways onsite restaurant (Splash) is only a two-minute walk away and also nearby within a short walking distance is August Bay, Frankie Bananas, and the famous Fish Fry.

As we are part of Hideaways at Palm Bay Beach Club, our guests will have access to all amenities offered at the resort included in your rental rate with no additional fees. You will have daily access to the resort swimming pool and unlimited use of kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and free shuttle service to George Town. There is free parking onsite just across the street.

We truly hope you enjoy Exuma Sol as much as we do and have the vacation of a lifetime. Whether it’s lazy days at the beach or making memories out exploring, you will find that Exuma in so many ways will relax and rejuvenate your ‘Sol’.

Don't hesitate to stay at Exuma Sol. It's the perfect place in paradise. Steps from the beach, gorgeous views, and has everything you need. Exuma Sol is centrally located in Exuma and close to so many great restaurants and grocery stores. We weathered Hurricane Melissa while in Exuma and Mike, the owner and the other residents were phenomenal. Communication with Mike from booking until when we headed home was phenomenal and top notch. We can't wait to come back again.

The location was ideal and the property was gorgeous and well appointed. Easy. Comfortable. Proximity to beaches, restaurants, stores was very convenient. We all had a fabulous trip and loved this unit snd Hideaways. The hosts were gracious, responded promptly to any questions and were very accommodating.

Exceptional Exuma!

Our stay at Mike and Karilynn’s place in Exuma at the Hideaways was superb! The cottage was very cute and in a fantastic location to enjoy the beautiful waters off the coast of Exuma! Our host, Mike, was very communicative and available for questions we had prior to our trip. He made the check-in process an easy experience and shared tips about the island. If we’re ever on Exuma again, we would return to Exuma Sol!

We had such an amazing time at Exuma Sol!! Mike and Karilynn are wonderful hosts. Mike answered ALL my questions so quickly. The home had everything we needed and was immaculate. My husband and I have been to several Caribbean Islands and we have to say, Exuma is the most beautiful. Turks and Caicos has nothing on this island. We walked to Jolly Hall Beach around the corner and there was a total of six people there including us. We rented a car and that was so much fun. It gave us the freedom to drive to the north of the island and south to the Tropic of Cancer Beach which was the best beach on the island. The smallest beach bar was there and they made the best drinks on the island! Hideaways is a great property. It is very clean and the restaurant Splash was right there. We met people that stayed at the fancy Grand Isle resort and they said they would choose Hideaways every time. You cannot go wrong with Exuma Sol. We will definitely be back and bring our friends!

Would 100% stay here again! The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Do not miss miss the reefs right outside your door for some snorkeling. The onsite restaurant, Splash, was very good! We went there every day/evening at some point in our day! Having beach towels, beach chairs, and coolers was extremely helpful and that is one of the reasons we would stay there again. I still can’t get over how clean everything was upon our arrival. The owner, Mike, was very helpful especially leading up to the days of our arrival. He answered the most random questions we had in a very timely manner. We hope he continues to own this place and the current Hideaway staff remains the same as WE WILL BE BACK! Don’t forget bug spray and drink all the Goombay Smash you can! Thank you again!

Slice of Paradise

Mike and Karilynn's property was perfect for our family of 4. From the stunning view of the cove immediately outside our doors, to the wonderful amenities that were included, we would love to come and stay again! Mike and Karilynn truly thought of the smallest details with regard to the amenities. They provided so many extras like backpack coolers, waterproof cell phone cases, beach towels, sunscreen, various types of bug repellant including candles, laundry detergent, and more. We were truly all set with everything we might need! What probably impressed us the most was the thorough and extremely responsive way that the hosts communicated with us. We could tell they truly cared about us as their guests and wanted us to maximize our stay. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with us at all, and literally all of our excursions were cancelled. Not only did Mike and Karilynn sympathize and try to assist with other recommendations of activities, but they went WAY above and beyond and provided us with a gift certificate to Splash, the local restaurant on site. We had an awful flight delay on the front end of the trip, which cost us our entire first day of vacation, so Mike and Karilynn were willing to work with us to accommodate us for another night upon departure if needed. I cannot say enough positive things about our hosts!

Perfection.

Myself, my wife and almost 2 year old daughter enjoyed a week staying at Exuma Sol. The other reviews were spot-on with regards to all of the "extras" included with this cottage. There are beach chairs, towels, beach activity sets, and even beach sand toys (a fun surprise). Also many extra towels and even blankets. The Hideaways resort provided a comfortable pack and play for our daughter. The kitchen was well-stocked with all things needed to cook and store meals, even reusable bags in which we could carry homemade food on our excursions. (There are several markets a short car ride away) They also even provided a couple of cooler backpacks - really well thought out details, considering other places we have rented in the past. The beds were also extremely comfortable and individual air conditioners in each main room were great. Communication with Mike was excellent. He responded promptly with any questions we had, which made us continually comfortable. The Hideaway Resort itself was full of kind people. If you run into a woman named Janetta you will likely receive a warm hug, making you feel right at home. The views waking up at Exuma Sol and walking around the property are almost unmatched until you make your way to Jolly Hall beach - a five minute walk down the sand. Don't miss it. Also, if it is a windy day right out front, Jolly Hall is more protected and not windy at all. We cannot say enough good things about Exuma Sol. If you're looking for a home away from home...

Our family really enjoyed staying here. Mike’s communication was great and made sure we were set up and comfortable. They provide so much stuff ranging from complete kitchen utensils, coolers, ice packs, beach accessories, bug spray, etc.. Another group we went with weren’t so luck and their place didn’t have much of anything. It really makes a difference and we will be back!

We had a great stay at Exuma Sol. What an amazing view with spectacular sunrises. Short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. Adult Mother Daughter Trip

Wow! This was beyond expectations. The house was perfect with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect, pretty much in the center of the island. The owners of this home could not have been more accommodating, check in before and during our stay more than once. The beach is out your front door. This is one place I will definitely come back to. I have only wonderful things to say. It’s even better than the pictures.

We just returned home from an amazing stay at Exuma Sol and miss it already. It is the perfect place to stay in Exuma and we can't wait to go back.It is located in the resort Hideaways which is centrally located, has an onsite pool and restaurant, great snorkeling just out your front door and a 5 minute walk from Jolly Hall, one of the best beaches on the island. We have stayed at Hideaways in the past and enjoyed it but staying at Exuma Sol brought our vacation to the next level. The beds, pillows and linens were perfect making every night's sleep peaceful and refreshing. The kitchen was fully stocked. I honestly can't think of one thing it didn't have. The decorations were perfect and everything was spotlessly clean.There may not be a better view on the island than from the front door of Exuma Sol. And as an added bonus, the master bedroom has its own door with the same view.The hosts were attentive, kind and went above and beyond. Truly the best you could ask for. The housekeeper Ms Janetta was a treasure and became my family's new best friend. It was a perfect stay. I would certainly recommend it to anyone. 5 stars are not enough.

Perfect island location

Exuma Sol was the perfect unit for our group. It was clean, comfortably decorated with an island flair, and had all the necessities plus so many extras. The location just outside of George Town gave us easy access to everything. Before, during and after our stay, Mike and Karilynn always responded to questions, recommendations, etc. very quickly. We can't wait to return and Exuma Sol will be our choice!

10/10 Experience - First Time the Place Was Even Better Than the Pictures!

This was our first VRBO stay where the pictures didn’t do it justice—it was even better in person! Mike and Karilynn were awesome hosts. Leading up to our trip, Mike was incredibly communicative and went out of his way to make sure I was able to get our grocery order in and the delivery set up before we arrived, which was such a huge help.During our stay, we mentioned a very minor issue with an appliance (didn’t affect our experience at all), and it was fixed within hours. The place was spotless, fully stocked, and in a perfect location close to everything. Our kids (8 & 5) had an absolute blast, and we’re already booking our return trip. Hands down a 10/10

Heaven on Earth

I didn't think we could top last year's visit, but I think we just did. Everything was wonderful - the villa, the property, all the staff. Loved everything about Exuma Sol....except maybe the little bugs at night! They seemed to really like us though! Very much want to return, we are working hard to make that happen. Thank you Mike and Karilynn for being such great hosts.

Stay in paradise

Awesome place, exactly as advertised plus so many extras. Hosts are prompt and effective communicators, onsite maintenance excellent to help with any issues. Wifi within property excellent. Pool, local bar, restaurant (Splash) well maintained, do not expect high quality service, island life.All you will need for a relaxing stay.Jolly Hall beach just a short walk away, paddle a kayak to more beaches on Stocking Island - about 50 minutes one way to Chat and Chill to feed the stingrays

Five Star Stay

We had the most amazing stay at Exuma Sol. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Mike was kind, incredibly helpful and very proactive with communication. The condo was very well equipped with more amenities than we could’ve asked for. From beach towels and beach chairs to reusable grocery bags and a very well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and then entire place was immaculately clean. Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of heaven!

We had an amazing vacation in Exuma! Our stay at Exuma Sol was perfect! The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and more. Comfortable beds and furniture. Clean and well kept. We absolutely loved our stay at Exuma Sol. It was perfect for our family of 3. The best snorkeling was right out front and ate many meals at Splash.
