Great place to star near fairgrounds.

The property was close to the fairgrounds which was perfect for what we needed. The house was clean and comfortable just as described. We will be stating here for future trips.

Family trip AQHA world show

Nothing super fancy here but clean, safe feeling and close to the fairgrounds. We didn’t spend much time at the house, because our competition keeps us busy most of the day, but we enjoyed ourselves and Would utilize this home again.

Internet never worked, washer held water the entire time, breaker trips every 10 minutes in the front 2 bedrooms, smoke alarm continuously beeps, no wash rags, water in tub does not hold, multiple nails in driveway. When emailed the homeowner they told us to fix the issue ourselves. Do not recommend this place for a family. Needs to be updated a lot.

Here for horse show

The house was cute and very convenient to the horse show grounds. It did not have a toaster and I would have loved to have had one of those! We did buy an additional glass pan so we could bake a few things and left that behind for the next renters to enjoy. The only major complaint that I had was that the water pressure was pretty low. But, overall we are very pleased with the house!

Short distance from State Fair Park

House was accurate as shown on listing. We picked this Vrbo because of proximity to Fair park since we were in town for an event and the capacity since we were a larger group. House has all amenities expected, plus a grill. Overall the place wasn’t bad but wasn’t throughly cleaned from the previous renter. Other than that I would say it was what I expected and the stay was good.

Great place for events at Fairgrounds

We stayed for the Cattlemens Congress in January and it is a quick and handy drive to the Fairgrounds. Neighborhood is nice and right off of the main road. The house fit our needs perfectly. The beds were comfortable and we all slept great. One couch and chair in the living room with one tv, none in bedrooms. Large floor tile throughout the house and kitchen is not overly stocked for large meals but fit our needs. Washer and dryer included and worked great. Long single wide driveway fit our dually pickup with space for 2 or 3 more cars parked behind it. Plenty of blankets, towels and wash cloths. We would stay here again if we come back to OKC.

A few things to know before renting

The property has been renovated but very cheaply. There is NO dishwasher. You are asked to do dishes prior to checking out but you must hand wash, DURING A PANDEMIC. This is completely unsanitary. The furnishings & decor are old, mismatched and look like they’re from a garage sale. Floors are all tile and very cold with hardly any throw rugs. The rugs that are in the home are old and dirty. Backs of toilets are filthy, toothpaste is splattered down the front of one of the vanities. Bedding is drab, no comforters on beds only a thin blanket. Neighbors to the south are loud, and play loud music all hours of the night. Dishes, utensils etc are sparse and mismatched. This could be a decent rental but the entire place needs a good cleaning, and a major update in furnishings, decor and linens.

Hi Casey, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - While we do have a dishwasher, we still request that guests clean their used dishes. We find that dishwashers can be less effective in fully cleaning dishes. - We have rugs in the living room and bedrooms to cover the tiled floor, which we sanitize between each guest's stay. - We thoroughly clean the bathrooms, including the toilets, after every reservation. - We use fleece blankets instead of comforters so that we can watch all bedding after every stay, and have extras should our guests need them. Guests may also adjust the heat settings to their preferred temperatures. - We own property on both sides of the house, which is currently empty. While the neighborhood is usually quiet, we're sorry if there were any disturbances. - The kitchen is stocked with white place settings to accommodate 6 guests. We really enjoyed our stay. We came for a horse show and the property is very close. Comfortable beds and a quiet neighborhood. There were a couple of small issues that got taken care of right away. If there were a few more cooking utensils/pans in the kitchen it would be even better.

Excellent place and Awesome location!

This was a very easy experience in renting. I had communication with them several times before arriving and text while we were there. Always there to help with answers to our questions. We were here for NRHA Futurity and it’s minutes from state fair grounds location. Great locations to other things like restaurants and shopping. Also the Cowboy Museum is a must see. We’ll be back here next time in OK.

Perfect house for our WCWS trip

We were three adult women travleing together. The three-bedroom 2-bath home was perfect for our stay! It was conveniently located to the WCWS stadium, airport, grocery stores, etc. It was nice that we each were able to eacg have our own room (private space). Only a couple negatives: 1) Reached out on more than one occasion prior to our arrival through the messaging system and email; even texted about our late arrival because of flight delays. Thankfully they not super impotant questons but a responsie would have been nice. 2) We realize the kitchen isn't intended to be full-functioning but it would have worked a lot better if there had been more than one cereal bowl. We purchased breakfast foods for our stay and using coffee mugs for eating / preparing our oatmeal each morning made things a bit tricky. It would be very inexpensive to add a few more ceramic bowls to the cupboard. It had an ample supply of everything else we needed. We look forward to staying again! :-)

There were so many requests by the property owner, we weren’t comfortable.

The property is beautiful. Certain items should be in operational conditions (heat) before they are rented out. Property owner had a long list of donts, Certain lights were on when we came back to the house after being gone all day, that we didn’t turn on. Made us wonder did the property owner live in the same block as property. Not enough seating for 6 people. Furniture needs to be updated.

Sheila, we're glad you enjoyed the home itself, but are sorry certain aspects didn't meet your expectations. The homeowner has the following to say: "We sincerely apologize you had a negative experience at our home. We know we owe all our guests a duty to keep the house as comfortable, and as sanitary clean, to the best of our ability. As a result, we are truly sorry. Regarding your complaint that the house was cold; this is a newly renovated home with a new heat and air unit. We just had a summer where the ac unit was working fine. By the time you checked in, it just started getting cold, so no one has had the opportunity to use the heat, which to the best of my knowledge was working fine at the time of installation. However, when we noticed that the Heat furnace was not turning on prior to you checking in, we immediately notified Evolve, your booking company to see if they can notify you of the situation and cancel your reservation. Evolve gave you the option of either canceling the reservation or receiving a one night discount. You decided to take the one-night discount option. So, you were also fully aware there was an issue with the heat prior to you checking in. We also did notify you about the heat situation a day or two prior to your arrival. You asked when the heat issue will be resolved, we told you the next day which was a Friday. The heat issue was fixed on Friday as promised. Regarding your coming back and meeting light in the house. The guys who worked for the gas company probably forgot to turn off all the lights in the house. You were fully aware the gas company was going to come work at the house that Friday. There is no way they could have resolved the heat issue without them coming inside the house. Also, your concerns about house rules, these rules I have posted are the regular house rules I have on the listing. I just printed copies and posted at the house. To remind the guest of no smoking, no parties, take your trash, where to keep dirty laundry…nothing extraordinary. Thank you very much for the review. We take our reviews seriously as fair complaints only serves us an opportunity to improve and provide better services to our guests." Best, the Evolve Team

bedrooms/bathrooms clean. but kitchen needed sprucing up, left sink clogged

The house was very cold. no heat, we froze all night and during day when there. uncomfortable because of the lack of heat.

Ingrid, we're very sorry your stay wasn't what you expected. Your feedback has been shared with the homeowner who would like to deliver the following message: "We sincerely apologize you had a negative experience at our home. We know we owe all our guests a duty to keep the house as comfortable, and as sanitary clean, to the best of our ability. As a result we are truly sorry. Earnestly, we really were not sure you had decided to spend the night at our home. The reason being that the moment you stepped foot in that house you called us and “aid our house is filthy and not up to your standard. You stated that you were calling Evolve to see if you could go somewhere else with your six guests”. This was the last conversation we had with you, and we never heard back from you. We were not sure you stayed or left. I am sure you actually did call Evolve because Evolve called me. I sent them pictures of the house prior to you checking in to show them that the house is sparkly clean. I am sure they also asked you to take pictures of the house as well, so they see the condition of the house as is, but you never sent them any pictures. Regarding your complaint that the house was cold. This is a newly renovated home with a new heat and air unit. We just had a summer where the A/C unit was working fine. By the time you checked in, it just started getting cold, so no one has had the opportunity to use the heat, which to the best of my knowledge was working fine at the time of installation. We wish you had told us you decided to spend the night at our home, we could have at least bring area heaters to you, and immediately call our maintenance guy to look into the issues, but instead we never heard back from you.
