Overall, a good-sized, clean home for our family of four. The property is peaceful, the beds were comfortable, and the temperature inside stayed comfortable. Most kichen ware is dated. We spent most of our time hiking and sightseeing, so it was a good place to relax, and Dawn was very kind and as helpful as she could be with our issues. However, we wouldn't return. The lake right there isn't swimmable (something out-of-town guests should know), and much of the home is dated with a few differences from the listing photos. The downstairs bedroom would benefit more from a dresser than the desk, as there's only one dresser in the house. The bbq pits are very old (bring your own cookware) and there's some lighting and electrical issues. Our 3rd evening was frightening. While using the porch light switches, an electrical issue caused smoke, a loud sizzle and pop, and tripped a breaker. We contacted Evolve and the host, who walked us through restoring power to the fridge by tripping a certain plug so that we could turn the breaker on for the fridge without the porch lights getting power. We felt there was little urgency from the owner, and an electrician did not show up until 5pm 2 days later. We're still waiting for their response to Evolve regarding a possible partial refund (2 weeks and counting). Evolve is TERRIBLE to work with. We have contacted the host since we left and they said we left everything in excellent condition. Hopefully the owner does the right thing.
