I moved to Costa Rica in 2004, the year Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo opened, and quickly fell in love with this extraordinary part of the country. After visiting Peninsula Papagayo regularly, I later became a homeowner in the resort, giving me the opportunity to experience it not simply as a visitor, but as a resident and owner.

In 2012, I founded Papagayo Luxury, a boutique villa rental company specializing exclusively in private residences within Peninsula Papagayo. More than a decade later, I still focus solely on this one resort. That specialization means my team and I know the villas, beaches, clubs, restaurants, activities and little details that can make the difference between a great vacation and an exceptional one.

We take a very personal approach to each stay. Before you arrive, we can help with airport transportation, golf carts, grocery pre-stocking, private chefs, boat charters, dining reservations, golf, spa appointments, racquet sports and activities. We remain available throughout your stay as well, so you have a knowledgeable local team to turn to whenever you need us.

What I love most about Peninsula Papagayo is the way it combines an extraordinary natural setting with the amenities of a world-class resort. The peninsula is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, with beautiful beaches, dramatic coastline, tropical forest and incredible sunsets, and it still feels remarkably private and uncrowded.

Within the resort, guests can spend the day at the beach, play golf or racquet sports, enjoy a spa treatment, head out on the water, or choose from a wonderful collection of restaurants. Prieta Beach Club and Papagayo Park offer even more ways for families and groups of different ages to enjoy the day.

But some of my favorite things about Papagayo are the simplest: spotting monkeys while driving through the resort, watching the sunset over the Pacific, taking a boat out to one of the nearby beaches, or simply spending an afternoon by the water.

After more than 20 years of knowing Peninsula Papagayo, I still think its combination of natural beauty, privacy, recreation and exceptional amenities is what makes it such a special place to vacation.

Unlike larger properties where bedrooms may be spread among separate casitas or buildings, all six bedrooms at Belvedere are under one roof, making it especially comfortable for families and groups who want to stay connected.

The expansive terrace is the heart of the home, with two private pools, a hot tub, shaded outdoor living and dining areas, and an outdoor kitchen—all overlooking the Pacific. It is an especially beautiful setting at sunset.

Inside, four ocean-facing bedrooms have king beds, including two primary suites on separate floors. The upstairs primary is the only bedroom on the second floor, offering additional privacy, while the downstairs primary provides easy access to the main living and outdoor areas. A double-queen suite and compact twin-over-queen bunk room provide additional flexibility for families and multigenerational groups.

Daily housekeeping is included, and guests have the support of our Papagayo Luxury concierge team before and throughout their stay.
