Our beach house is the 3rd house in from the beach. It sits on a sleepy, cul-de-sac, street that has only 5 houses on it, as such, we have allowed our children to walk back and forth from the beach to the house by themselves. If you're standing at the edge of the beach you can watch them walk into the yard, and into the house. We are that close to the beach! The ocean views are spectacular, especially from either the 2nd floor bedrooms, porch & third floor bedrooms. The garden / yard is so formidable that there are days where you won't want to leave it to go to the beach. Our outdoor, stone-built hot tub was one of the best investments we ever made! We keep it open year-round, we love to sit in it in the middle of winter! We installed a gas fire-place on the other side of our stone patio and have comfortable couches that surround it, making it an awesome place to gather and socialize. There is also a huge sun umbrella that covers most of that sitting area. An enclosed, outdoor shower sits beside the hot tub, a long outdoor, dining table with bench seating sits underneath a pergola, and a large, Weber grill stands right beside it. It has a gas line connected to it, so no propane tank issues, ever! Our driveway, beside the house can comfortably park 6 - 8 vehicles, depending on their size of course. There is additional, free parking on the opposite side of the street. Inside our beach house, it is so comfortable & relaxing. With the French windows open you can smell the salty, sea air, and hear the waves crashing. The open plan style throughout the house is just so family friendly - you always know where your kids are playing. We built a fun basement for kids to play table tennis, skee-ball, foosball, etc. We supply our guests with 10 beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas, boogy boards, wake boards, kayaks, kids bicycles, beach toys, balls & more.
