Near the beach!!

We loved our stay at this house. The washer / dryer were the MVP of our trip for beach cleanup at the end of the day, and the house was spacious and well furnished for our 12 guest party (8 adults/4 children). Would rent again.

We had a lovely week of summer vacation at the Mill House. Lots of room, a beautiful property, central to the places we wanted to visit. The central air was a blessing given the hot weather we enjoyed. The address on East Lake Road means some busy traffic at points in the day - the only intrusion in an otherwise peaceful setting.

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely stay at The Mill House. The property is absolutely beautiful. The sunsets are unreal. The house was perfectly clean and everything needed was available on site. Great outdoor fire pit.

Beautiful!

We were a group of 6 adults and 4 kids, and this home fit us perfectly. The bedrooms are spacious, and the beds were all comfortable. The large dining table fit us all together too. The house has a cozy old farmhouse charm, and the kids loved exploring all it's unique qualities. Lots of room for the kids to run around outside. Close to Picton and Sandbanks. Highly recommend!

Merveilleux voyage

Propriété bien entretenue, propriétaire disponible (et nous avons eu affaire à elle à quelques reprise durant notre séjour) réponse rapide et très accueillante. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans un endroit magnifique à proximité d’un superbe parc provincial.

Cousin Getaway

This property was perfect for our group. A charming country farmhouse with all the updated amenities. Close to Picton and Bloomfield, but a beautiful private country setting to relax and unwind. The bedrooms were big and bright and very comfortable mattresses. Beth is a wonderful hostess and very accommodating. She is also very knowledgeable about the history of the house. We would definitely book this property again! Thank you Beth!

Great place for a girls weekend.

Beth was a wonderful host. Everyone in our group of ten women enjoyed their stay. A great central location and very close to Sandbanks and the wineries. We hope to be back!

Great 4 Bdrm Farm House with 2 1/2 Bathrooms.

Great Farm House with 4 Bedrooms and 2 1/2 Bathrooms. Lots of very interesting history on the original family. Nice outdoor patio table for dining and lots of room in the yard. The only minor downside was spotty wifi. Beth was very responsive to any questions we had. Would recommend this Farmhouse.

Wonderful change of pace

We stayed at The Old Mill House the 2nd week of July 2021 and loved it! The house has some pretty eclectic antiques like sewing machines and typewriters ... perhaps an inspiration for writing a good short story. We never ate inside once and always used the large back deck and umbrella for our meals. There's plenty of room for extended family with 4 large bedrooms. The location is great and very well situated for Sandbanks beach - it's a 9 minute drive! - and it's never very far in the County to get to any of the wineries, which we also love. We would definitely go back!

Awesome spot

We visit PEC once a year for a family vacation. The Mill House was a perfect spot. Plenty of space, a beautiful property and close to Sandbanks and Picton. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home in PEC

The home was beautiful, well kept, and everything that was advertised. It was so peaceful and quiet..enjoyed just sitting on the deck with a drink at night. Close to wineries and the town so really convenient.

Une belle maison de ferme ancienne

Cette ancienne maison de ferme est remplie de meubles et photos familiales d’époque qui constituent en soi un véritable petit musée agréable à habiter. La cuisine est très bien équipée. La maison est en pleine campagne, bien située à quelques kilomètres de Picton et de Sand Banks. Le proprio fournit 2 passes pour Sand BanksUn seul inconvénient, la 2e douche est située au rdc alors que les chambres sont à l’étage

Great Property for a family get together.

We spent a lovely Thanksgiving long weekend at this property. It is clean, well maintained, and well equipped, with ample space for adults to relax, and children to run around and play. We had absolutely no problem preparing meals for everyone. We all had a great time. We also made use of the two passes for Sandbank park, which is amazing.

A great house for a family vacation

This is the third time we have stayed at the Mill House and loved it every time. Where to begin. Location, location, location - a short drive away from Sandbanks, Picton and Bloomfield so access to the beach, shopping, restaurants and wineries is super easy. The house is very spacious with several places to gather as a big group (kitchen, dining room, familly room, the terrace), but also lots of opportunities for some quiet time. The house is very well equipped with absolutely everything one could need. We made full use of the barbq and the fire pit! The outdoor space is just beautiful: kids ran around happily, while adults used it for exercise or lounging around. The house has a very interesting history and there are many interesting objects in the house which help tell the story. Beth was a wonderful host and we are looking forward to returning soon!

I have been managing our on-farm vacation rental since 2013. With experience in property management and hosting we have many returning guests year after year.

The Mill House sits on our family farm. Our family has owned and operated the farm since 1977. L:iving in area we have a love of local history, the land and the community that shows in how we manage our property.

The Mill House was built in and around 186o, originally for the Mill Keep who managed a Mill that existed at that time. The pioneering family that owned the home prior to us left much of their original furniture with the house and it has been loving restored and kept in the house to honour the past.
