What a great spot to get lost in nature, but still be close enough to town to enjoy all that wine country has to offer. My wife and I stayed here a week for our 25th anniversary. We caught a mess of bass in the pond, saw all kinds of birds from the back porch while drinking our coffee, saw deer about every day, and one day, a coyote hanging out in a field in the neighborhood. The wildlife was as spectacular as the views. Just a very peaceful place to call home base while touring Sonoma, Napa, Calistoga, and all the surrounding areas.
The unit itself was very tastefully appointed, with everything we needed for the stay. My wife is a great cook, and she did not want for anything in the kitchen. Everything was very clean and comfortable, save for the mattress, which is likely near the end of its lifecycle. Bring an extra pillow to lean your back on, and the mattress problem is solved.
Maybe two days into our stay, we looked at each other and said we would DEFINITELY stay here again. Such a great way to spend our time NOT at a winery. Pieter and Karen were very gracious hosts, and communication was top-notch! Thank you both for your time and hospitality.
