Beautiful property! Had everything we needed for a great few days on the lake with the family. House was beautifully furnished and comfortable. Sunsets from the beach and dock were amazing.

Great property. House was CLEAN and well-appointed. Property was in a quiet, secluded area. Driveway can easily accommodate 3 cars and a boat trailer. There are beautiful views of the lake from multiple rooms. The screened in porch is a great place to relax out of the sun. The dock is large and the dock and swimming platform make for terrific swimming. The property is located near multiple restaurants and activities, and the neighborhood is subject to quiet hours from 11 pm to 7 am. The downstairs has multiple toys and games for the kids, as well as a TV. The spacious living room is a focal point. The property manager was responsive and easy to work with. While the steps leading down to the dock were as advertised, we found we had no problem negotiating them multiple times each day. We were also impressed with how comfortable the beds were. Only negative comment we have is that the kayaks are next to the house and it is not feasible to carry them back and forth on the stairs leading down to the water.

Great Space

First lake rental we've had without any damp or smelly spaces, closets, cabinets, drawers. Even the basement was completely dry and smell free, with really high ceilings. All spaces were well laid out and functional. Great deck with huge picnic table and large, clean proprane grill. When the weather wasn't good for outdoor dining, we used the picnic benches at the dining table to provide more seating. More unused / unlocked kitchen cabinet space than anywhere we've been. Loved the swimming platform which we weren't expecting. More than enough parking. Darn near perfect, only thing I would suggest is more small outdoor chairs to fit more people at the fire pit area.

THE lake house

Pleasant lake house

House was nice and comfortable. Lake views were beautiful. We spent our time sitting on the dock or around the fire pit, and swimming around the dock. My friend fished right off the dock and caught several fish. We really enjoyed our time there. However, there are ALOT of stairs. According to my watch it’s 4 flights of stairs from the bedroom to the dock….i climbed an average of 15 flights of stairs per day. The property is very steep. While there are railings for the stairs, there are no hand-holds/railings down the stone steps to the water, that section is a little precarious. It was very difficult to get the kayaks down and we were not able to get the jon boat we brought down to the water.

Amazing house and location

I cannot say enough about this amazing house! First off, the property is so clean and beautiful. Check in was a breeze. The layout was honestly amazing and perfect of us. Even with 8 people, everyone had their own space. The water was gorgeous, lake was clean, property well maintained. Honestly, looking to go back as soon as possible. Great host, great house!

Another great winter stay

This was our third time renting this property during the last week of December. It works really well for our family - three sisters and our spouses and kids. There is a lot of space for everyone. We appreciated some of the additions in the kitchen that helped with making meals easier!

nice but needs improvement

This was a beautiful home and we enjoyed our stay. There were a few problems. We had to wipe all the spider webs off the main windows inside the house and clean up spots along the kitchen floor. The smoothie maker and blender had parts missing. The coffee maker was tricky to use so you don't spill coffee all over the place. All the pans were small to medium. and only a two slice toaster. This is a 3 master bedroom home it should be supplied to serve at least 6 people. We could not use the hot tub. There were areas on the stone steps that were very unsteady, so we found other stones to place under them to make them steadier. The kayaks were up at the house, In order to get them into the lake we would have to take them down the stairs and then back up again which was way too dangerous for any of us. This was so very disappointing. Is it a nice house? absolutely, would we come back? Probably not.

Awesome week at the lake

Most relaxing vacation ever. House was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Large deck area with awesome views of the lake. Dock was perfect for our boat and we also fished and swam from it. We made s’mores at the fire pit and created amazing family memories. Loved it.

Lovely Property

The location was great, as was the lakefront where we spent a majority of our time. The house was clean and comfortable. Our three families had a lovely time on our annual trip together.

One of the best family vacation homes

The entire stay was better than expected. The house was very clean. We are a big family and there was plenty of space for everyone. Every bedroom had its own bathroom and the basement for the kids was absolutely perfect. A very kid friendly house which is a major plus when vacationing with little ones. Everyone enjoyed the property!

Memorial Day Weekend

Incredible property and a great place on the lake. Quick access to everything, both on the lake and off. Steep stairs so older guests should be weary but other than that, the house and weekend were perfect.

Second time at Knollwood

This was our second time staying at this property over winter break. Lots of space for us to spread out. We appreciate the 3 master suites which makes it easier with three separate families. The house was clean and well maintained. Only improvements would be some additional plates for the kitchen!

Stunning views..but, not thrilled with check out

Beautiful property. Well stocked kitchen and very clean. Check out was at 11 a.m. As we were packing the car at 10!! Agent from reality co stopped in to push us out for next tenant. We were leaving anyways but still had an hour. Did not appreciate. Also. We had a cold snap. Bought all our own firewood for fireplace. It is obvious that although they advertise fireplace, they did not want you to use...no tools. Had to get creative to clean out ashes.

Knollwood Lakefront Cape House Rental, Lake Wallenpaupack, Pennsylvania, 21-28 September 2022

Completed our stay at the Knollwood Lakefront Cape house. It was an excellent venue for us. The house was excellent for us. The fact that it had three master bedroom each with a private bath was the big draw. The landscaping was extremely well done with the very steep grade down to the lake. We enjoyed the decks; the downstairs screened in deck was very well finished and clean. We loved the picnic table on the upper deck and had an outdoor lunch there in the sunshine. The house was very clean and set up to reflect quality. Our ladies loved the kitchen size, counter space, and appliances. The men enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in the family room and the Firepit outside. The internet was excellent and appreciated. The TV and the channel availability was exceptional. In addition, the house had an excellent dock to park our Tritoon. The outdoor landscape lighting made the house and grounds look magical at night. This was the perfect home for us away from Home.
