Beautiful, quiet place for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful property!

It was a family trip and we had a wonderful stay. Our son got engaged and they dropped off a bottle of wine and chocolates with a nice card, very nice touch. House is huge and beautiful. Two of the beds are high off the ground but have steps to get out to them. Views are amazing!!

Great Escape

We had an absolutely fantastic time during our 3 night stay at this house. The house is very clean and well appointed with everything you need to have a fun carefree visit. The grounds were looking awesome and the small round hot tub over looking the vineyard was a special place to watch the sunrise each morning. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely visit again in the future.

Casi Cielo - Beautiful and idyllic location

The home was beautiful and in a picturesque location. There are enough rooms and space for our group with plenty to see and do in and outside the house. The hosts were very responsive and friendly.

Special Place

We recently stayed at this beautiful vacation home while helping our daughter move to town and attend nearby Pacific University. The property was stunning with comfortable beds and fantastic outdoor space for dining and fun. The friendly caretakers made our stay even more special. We highly recommend it!

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay and loved the house. The rooms and everything we're very clean and fit the Tuscan villa vibe. Hot tub was relaxing along with several walks through the vineyard. Host was very communicative and the caretaker responded quickly to our couple of questions throughout the weekend.

Amazing Property

Myself and three other friends stayed this past week, and I cannot praise it enough. All the extra touches are provided and the views of the vineyards were fantastic. Wander down to the winery at the bottom of the hill for your tasting.

Casi Cielo was absolutely beautiful! The house itself is amazing. A huge kitchen, several places to sit and relax, clean, and had all the things we needed. The patio and view were stunning! A remote location to get away and relax. Highly recommend!

Great Oregon Wine Vacation

We love this property! This was our second visit and would love to come back. The house is beautiful and the gardens in back were very nice. The house sits in the middle of a hillside winery with beautiful views. We like to cook, and the kitchen is first rate. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with.

As good as it looks!

Casi Cielo was a great experience for our family and friends. Perfectly located for day trips to Portland, the ocean and, of course, all the great vineyards in the area. The home is well stocked for cooking and all the other basics you need to prevent making runs to the store. We enjoyed the patio every night of our 10 day stay. We can not recommend highly enough!

Casi Cielo is a fantastic home and a wonderful place to spend your vacation!

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Casi Cielo. The property is absolutely gorgeous and has many amenities that helped us feel right at home. The views from the back patio are amazing and being able to walk through the vineyards was great! We enjoyed the hot tub, cooking in the expansive kitchen and we had plenty of room for our group of 6 to relax and enjoy everything. The caretakers and owner were so kind and nice to work with, they helped to ensure we had the best stay possible. We highly recommend a visit to Casi Cielo!

Couldn't have asked for anything more

The house was perfect with the best stocked kitchen i have ever seen in a vacation rental. We had plenty of space within the home but spent most time on the glorious patio and surrounding gardens. It was blessedly quiet and serene; the perfect setting for a birthday getaway. Many thanks to the amazing caretakers who were wonderful to work with. We hope to be back sometime in the future.

Beautiful home, wonderful setting,

Gorgeous wine country estate on hill top with wonderful views. Our family of 9 had lots of room to spread out. We lacked for nothing in the kitchen. Common comment by all was that it was as if the owners were living in the home and when they found out we were coming they left for a few days and allowed us to experience their home. We are hoping to return in the spring.

Glenn, Great observations !! Yes, you are right. We do live in all our vacation rental homes, and do leave to go elsewhere when people book. I guess that is a rare phenomenon for vacation rentals. Never thought about it before. But I guess most vacation rentals are only that. Never lived in by the owners. Not ours. We absolutely live in ours and love each and every one of them. That’s why we are so particular on who we rent to, and have a long list of rules. You are stepping into our own home to stay as our guests, as we step out to welcome you. It’s our own home. So glad you enjoyed it. That makes us very happy. We also have full time caretakers who live in the guesthouse across the driveway who keep a close watch on our home when we are away. They are super. So glad you enjoyed your New Years Family Stay! You were great guests and are always welcomed back. Happy New Year 2022. April

Beautiful home and site.

Everything we expected and more. Absolutely beautiful. Getting there is pretty much what one would expect driving through Pacific Northwest America (not a negative - the point is that up until you arrive - you realize you are driving through rural America) but once you get with in a mile or so of the house, the seclusion is very reminiscent of being in a real Italian setting.

Heaven in the Vineyards of Oregon

Our family had a wonderful time at Casi Cielo. It was a first class experience that we all enjoyed. The only regret we had was not spending more time at this beautiful estate in the Oregon vinyards. We had four(4) adolescents with us, and they all thought is was the greatest place to stay as well. When we return to Oregon/Washington in the future on another trip, this will be our destination for sure. We would recommend it to anyone for a once in a lifetime experience.

This home is unbelievable. Should be in Home magazine. View of the valley. Pleasant quiet surroundings. Too much to list. My kids want me to build something just like this. That says it all!

Photos don’t do justice

The photos do not do this house justice. It was a phenomenal house that our whole group loved and wished we had more time at. Unfortunately it was the last start of our 10 day vacation and we did not get to spend as much time at the house as we would have liked.

April and Jim purchased Casi Cielo in 2014 after selling their family’s 150 year old vineyard and farm in Stockton CA. They wanted to continue growing grapes to make great wine, but this time enjoy the complexities of the famed area of Pinot Noir in the northern Willamette Valley in Oregon, outside of Portland. The family loves to spend time at this magical property whenever they can, but offer it up as a vacation rental when they are not residing at the property.

April who is originally from Los Angeles, CA and Jim from Seattle, WA, making Forest Grove, the perfect middle ground for the both of them. They live part of their time in the Santa Ynez Valley, north of Santa Barbara, CA, and part of their time in northeast Washington State in Sequim and Port Angeles, WA on the Olympic Peninsula by the spectacular Olympic National Park and across from Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC where they also share their homes: the Duck 🦆 Pond in Port Angeles on Freshwater Bay at the Elwha River Mouth; Bond Ranch Retreat B&B in Sequim; and Mt. Pleasant Garden View Ranch Cottage in Port Angeles high up on the hills overlooking the Straits of San Juan Du Fuca, as vacation rentals when they are not there. All of these are listed on VRBO.

Both April and Jim received their degrees in Viticulture, Enology and Wine Business and love to continue their love of pairing great wine and with delicious food for a marvelous meal. The kitchen at Casi Cielo is the perfect place to prepare and serve such meals to their friends and family. We hope you enjoy doing the same as well when you stay.

This property is idea for Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Riesling, with hot days and cool nights on these south west facing slopes. The main house is amazing, high on top of the hill overlooking the valley below. The interior is open and airy, with multiple intimate spaces to gather in small groups. It is not a huge house with vast rooms, but personal in size with a great flow. It’s charming, elegant, and very comfortable and homey. The outdoor spaces one can languish in forever, and enjoy the fresh air and ever changing views all day. The Forest is a magical place for woodland creatures to go for a walk and observe. And the tasting room is right down the hill, so easy access to great wines. What more could you want ?

We offer Spectacular views of the Tualatin Valley below from your private Casi Cielo Vineyard Estate veranda. Enjoy casual walks amongst the 45 year old gnarly moss covered Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Riesling vines, or take a stroll through our private ancient forest to our natural spring, beaver damn and giant pond. If you are really quiet, you may see various wildlife along your journey. On the way back up the hill, drop by the Tualatin Estates Tasting room (Saturday and Sunday only) for a complimentary tasting of their many wines. Just tell them you are staying at Casi Cielo up at the top of hill. Or enjoy a slow toddle and the restorative power of our charming native flowering garden. If you want to just stay put, enjoy a long soak in our hot tub while overlooking the vineyards, curl up with a good book on the sofa in the sunroom, or just lounge on the covered porch and soak in the awesome valley Views with a cup of coffee, tea or a glass of great Willamette Valley wine. One could stay out there all day and never go back indoors. It’s views, birds, wildlife, clouds, sunrise, sunset, are ever changing, and always very magical. Never a dull moment.
