Loved it!

The house was perfect for our family. April and Stefan are great hosts and we appreciated the fact they lived adjacent to the property. Very helpful. Ready to address any questions and knowledgeable about the area. The pool was perfect and heated. Loved the screened in porch for outdoor meals. Essential supplies provided. Would definitely rent again!

Wonderful getaway

Great house. 3 bedeooms and office/suite room with pull out. Large living room with comfy sofas. Amazing retro kitchen and fabulous pool! Well stocked linens and kitchen pots and pans, dishes, etc. Would absolutely stay here again. My 9 and 10 year old were in heaven. Easy to get to and get around.

Great Stay little Beach getaway

Mermaid Bay was fantastic - easy check-in, great communication and all of the amenities that you need. They had more than enough toiletries and extras for the bathrooms. We were happy to use the beautiful pool and enjoy the screened in porch. It was really windy one day and the owner came over and got leaves out of the pool. It is close to a lot of stuff and easy to access! Highly recommend

Beautiful getaway with heated pool!

The hosts are absolutely amazing! Always checking in and seeing if you need anything. The house has such amazing extra touches: shampoo, conditioner, and soap in all bathrooms. Spices, condiments, and kitchen supplies at the ready. The pool is warm and has some kids extras (snorkels, noodles, toys). Everything you need to have an amazing vacation.

Great one floor rental. Enough bathrooms for 5 middle aged women sharing a house to get ready for dinner. The pool was wonderful to come home to after a day at the beach. Great Thanksgiving in Sunny Florida!!

We had a wonderful visit! House was perfect for our family. The setup, all the extras provided, really comfortable beds, large tvs in each room, kitchen with everything (we cooked our full Thanksgiving dinner), large dining tables both inside and on the awesome screened back porch, and the warm, very enjoyable, relaxing pool. April was the absolute best to work with providing excellent communication. We look forward to visiting SE Florida more often and April's house will be the first place we reserve!! FYI, if you scuba dive, the house is a 5 minute drive (could walk also) to Deerfield Beach inlet making is so convenient. We all loved everything about this house and trip. You have my highest recommendation to stay at April's place!

Great place for guests with toddlers!

Our family had a wonderful time at Mermaid Bay! We had 5 adults and 2 children (1 and 3). The house is large enough for everyone to have their own space. April and Stefan were fantastic hosts. There were a few minor things that needed fixing during our stay, and they were quick to get it done. The pool was great and we noticed that our skin did not get dry or itchy as you often experience from pools. We enjoyed watching the neighborhood iguanas and other lizards right in the back yard. The property is close to multiple parks that the kids enjoyed. It is also close to any shopping or restaurants that you could imagine. We had a few fun days at the beach and it was nice to have beach chairs, towels, and sand toys to use. With having young kids, we spent most of our time at the property. We did venture out to Butterfly World and Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Both were good experiences! We will keep Mermaid Bay in mind the next time we’re looking for a relaxing vacation!

A fabulous place to stay!

This property was better than expected! First, April and Stephan are wonderful hosts. They were available, honest, easy to work with and approachable. They made the process easy! The house was an older home, but well maintained. It was so very clean. We were very comfortable there. They provided all of the essentials, which made traveling easier. Each bathroom, (3 full ones), were stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They provided all the paper goods. There were plenty of extra pillows and blankets - and the bed were made nicely upon arrival. They provided an abundance of towels, as well as a surplus of beach/pool towels. They provided coffee and sugars, as well as condiments like salt/pepper, ketchup and spices. This made settling in so easy. The house met all of our needs and we were extremely comfortable there. But...it's the back yard that made the vacation week!!! The pool and patio are spectacular! It was like a private oasis. The pool was warm and crystal clear. There were pool loungers and patio chairs. There were plenty of umbrellas if you wanted shade. This back yard made all the ages with us happy. We had coffee on the patio every morning and finished each day all together- some swimming, some relaxing on chairs~ us, the kids and the grandparents too! The location was within walking distance to a restaurant. This also turned out to be a surprising A+ situation. We were able to take a short stroll to grab a bite and a drink. Soooo easy! And, being there with older teenagers and kids in their early 20's, allowed them to venture off to eat on their own schedules. It was a win! When travelling, you often have only 1 car for your group. Having a restaurant close by allowed everyone to eat on their own schedule if they chose. The location is also a short distance to a grocery store and a pharmacy. This too was a plus. We were able to stock the house with some meal prep which made mornings easier. And, close by were an abundance of other restaurants which was fantastic. As for the beach....AMAZING. We are familiar with other parts of Florida, but Deerfield was a new destination for us. It was a great beach and boardwalk area!!!! Beautiful white sands with so many restaurants and shops right there. No need to pack anything. If you got hungry while at the beach, you could walk 20 steps and grab a sandwich, pizza or ice cream. Or take a break and sit down for a meal! We can't wait to go back!!

Perfect location, pool and screened in patio

House is in a great location. Quiet residential area and only 7 minutes to the beach (Deerfield Beach) and near plenty of shopping. Very private with garden and fences around property. Couldn’t see any neighbors. Pool was fantastic – heated, clean and continually checked by owners. Kitchen is well stocked with gadgets and appliances; large gas barbecue was available. Easy to do laundry and even had a clothesline for bathing suits, etc. Living room is nice place to hang. Loved the screened in back patio (with table and chairs for eating) and casual front patio. 3 bathrooms were fine with hot water always available for showering. Bedrooms were comfortable, especially the master bedroom. There is a bedroom attached to the master bedroom which is not as private but it worked just fine for visitor. One bedroom is a little small but ok. Very clean property. Plenty of clean, new towels. The hostesses, April and Stephan were very accommodating; always willing to help or supply something needed as laundry detergent; very respectful of our privacy. Deerfield Beach is lovely with lifeguards, plenty of public bathrooms, boardwalk, restaurants by the beach, and shady spots on grass to sit, besides the beach. Mermaid Rental provides lots of beach chairs of various heights to use at the beach. Super!

Wonderful Family Holiday Vacation

My family had an AMAZING time at Mermaid Bay. The house is extremely well stocked. Love all the labels so you can find things, know what turns on what, etc. Super helpful. If you are family, little kids, even big kids this is the perfect house. Screened in patio was our favorite, such a nice amenity. Pool was really nice too, my daughter never got out. Super comfy lounge chairs, all the pool toys! Quiet and safe neighborhood, easy to get to the grocery store. The beach is a quick drive and it's a nice beach!

Family vacation

This place was amazing. The house was stocked with everything you could want or need. All the beds were comfortable and clean. The hosts were amazing. We had 12 guests. Eight adults and 4 toddlers. They had such a blast in the pool and playing with all the pool toys. When we went to the beach we took along all the sand toys. I highly recommend this place. The hosts truly cared about making sure we were comfortable. Upon arrival we were shocked to see beside cribs there was also a pack in play and two high chairs. I hope to go back again!!’

Great place to stay!

We had the best family vacation here! Kids hardly got out of the pool. Plenty of room for all 10 of us. Great communication with the owner. Close to everything. Definitely recommend this rental.

Sibling Retreat

OMGGGG😍. This Mermaid Bay House was absolutely perfect for our sibling reunion. April was the best host that I have ever dealt with. Extremely accommodating and helpful. This house had everything we needed and then some. Plus the location made for easy access to the beach or neighboring towns. I highly recommend Mermaid Bay. We will definitely be back.

Great stay!

Great stay at a great house. Wonderful south Florida beach charm home. Great location close to shopping and close to beach. Amazing backyard patio and pool area which is where we spent most of our time. Loved the screened in porch which was perfect for meal time. Owners live close by and are super responsive and helpful. Asked about blowing up some pool toys and they were very quickly able to assist and blow them up for us. Pool kept clean and at a perfect temp. House was super clean and well stocked with anything you might need. If visiting this area I highly recommend this home and the owners!!! Great people and great place!

Great location in a cozy home.

This is a nice property with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Well stocked for cooking and enjoying the water (both in the back yard and the beach that is only a few minutes away). We enjoyed our time around the pool and the home was very welcoming. If traveling to this area again we would certainly book here again. The host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even made sure we we got home safe. Very classy.

Winter getaway

Property as described and pictured, very clean! Friendly, caring hosts nearby and very responsive. Pool wonderful, clean and nice temperature.

We've lived in South Florida our whole lives and know the area inside and out. We can help you find the best places to go for whatever your mood may be.

We love hosting and are always adding special amenities for our next guests. We live right next door and care for the house and our guests as if they were family.

This home is owner managed, which means we care about the quality of your entire experience from start to finish.

The house is secluded in a clean, quiet, and safe neighborhood, has super comfy beds, and includes ALL you need. You'll have a private, screened in patio & bar with an outdoor dining area; you can enjoy the outdoors and be protected from weather and mosquitoes. Ice cold air conditioning inside, and *you* control the temperature!

Scuba, fishing, and tour boats are so close that you can see the marina from the front or back yard. The beach is less than a mile and a half away, and tennis, playgrounds, shopping, library, dining, parks, boat ramps, and church are all only 2-4 blocks away.

You can see Boca from the front yard, and I95 is only 2 miles west. Hop on an airboat and see alligators and spoonbills (and other rare and endangered wildlife) 10 miles west in the Everglades.

A guest favorite activity: Sullivan Park is a free children's splash-park/playground/picnic area less than a half mile away on the intracoastal, halfway to the beach.

Mermaid Bay FLA is spotlessly cleaned by professional housekeepers, and its truly classic Florida architecture is very welcoming and open.

The pool and huge front and back patios are perfect for enjoying the outdoors while still being close to the air-conditioned comfort of home. There is plenty of room to gather together with friends and family for meals, drinks, and television, but since each bedroom also has its own Roku TV and blackout curtains, it's easy to spend time alone without being bored.

Beautiful '50's Florida feel in an newly renovated, fully air conditioned home. Hi speed WiFi (180mbps consistent), smart TVs in every room, and *very* comfy new beds. The carefully tended assortment of butterflies and birds in the botanical garden are a huge bonus!
