The house is very new/updated with fabulous air conditioning and great wifi (very important to us!). The kitchen and bathrooms seem new and everything works well and was clean and tidy. There were plenty of dishes and pots, spices, etc for our use. They even supplied very nice beach towels. The host was very accommodating and at one point rushed over some new kitchen spatulas when I mentioned one had come apart, even though I said not to worry about it. She was very nice and wanted everything to be just right. We especially appreciated numerous very soft blankets for use while relaxing on the couch and also in each bedroom. The beach is very close by, easy walking distance, but as we were feeling lazy, we drove the few blocks and always had abundant free parking steps away from it. The beach itself is calm with not a lot of waves, very safe. Water was cool but not too cold to swim. Plenty of space for social distancing, we always felt comfortable. Lifeguards on duty during the day, and at night we could sit on the beach and watch the sky change, it was very peaceful. The house is one of 2 on the same lot, but we never saw or heard the family in the other house, the lot is carefully designed so that each house has its own parking, entrance, and separate yard space. We went on some great easy hikes nearby and especially enjoyed the Nianus River Park and the Stanford Museum and Nature Center. We would stay again, it was a great place to relax.
