We were a group of 4 male friends/skiers, all over 50, all homeowners -- in other words a pretty tough group to please. Pine Tree Cabin impressed us all.
It is nestled in the pine woods, and you feel like you are alone in the mountains. The house faces south, so you get lovely winter sunshine. The floorplan is good and the bedrooms are generally spacious (3 large, 1 medium, 1 small.) There are 5 bedrooms, which was more than in the listing (!). The recently-upgraded wifi is fast. The under-cabin garage provides very welcome protection from the snow. The under-porch hot tub doesn't have great views but is hot and large. There is a seemingly infinite supply of well-seasoned firewood. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there were abundant basics (oil, vinegar, spices, left-behind coffee, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, etc). Bathrooms were well supplied with soap, shampoo, toilet paper. The cabin is close to Solitude and Brighton and to the Silver Fork restaurant with its downright fancy cuisine .
We came in a 4WD vehicle, but it had balding tires, and we got stuck in the fresh snow, so make sure your vehicle is good.
Many thanks to the owner and to the property manager!
