We are happy that the review writer who is coming a long way from overseas to our house appreciates our new BBQ area. We recently installed the BBQ ( gas grill) and a big dining table with ten chairs in the newly adapted back patio which is covered and protected . The front patio offers a smaller dining table, lounge chairs as well as a chimney with a charcoal grill and enjoys a large view to the south over the pool to the hills on the opposite side of Valbonne. The front patio is very sunny, the back patio is cooler in hot summer days, both are intimate and secluded, nobody can see you there. The private path leading from the old village to our house ends at our house in a dead end and is extremely quiet. You hardly ever meeet a car of a neighbor on this path. It is narrow, but the crane and the trucks all used this path when we had the house constructed. The advantage is that there is no traffic on this private lane, no noise at all, you enjoy a very privileged location so close the the old village and yet you will not hear anything at all from the lively animation and activities in the village. In our property there is a parking for two cars at the entrance gate and enough space in the courtyard of our house to park several cars. So we advise you to go on foot to the village and enjoy your glass or two of rosé de Provence as does this review writer.

You are our most loyal guest in our house and we thank you so much for your fidelity In your remark you recommend our house to families with teenagers and young children, but also to guests of age 55+ Teenagers have indeed many possibilities, just below our road is an evening club for teenagers, a cinema often with English films, a range of inexpensive small restaurants for young people and of-course all the bars and beaches for the youth in Cannes and Antibes, securly reached by regular bus service in just 20 minutes . Even the teenagers can afford the subsidized flat bus fair of only € 1.50 to go to Cannes, Antibes or Grasse. As you mention, your two daughters who have grown up every summer here, have often enjoyed all this. The adults love to go down on foot one minute to the old village and have dinners without using the car. You leave your car at the house and do not worry about parking in the village or alcohol controls by the police........... Valbonne is also a perfect staring point for sightseeing when you want to visit the touristically most interesting places in the region. And Valbonne village offers the most famous fruit and gourmand shops in the area, excellent butchers, a renowned shop for sea food and very fine chocolate shops beside the very reputed and much frequented market on every Friday. All this within reach of one or two minutes on foot from the house. Or you just relax by the pool which can be heated and use the outside dining area with the two grills ( one coal grill, one gas grill) for a barbecue evening with your family around the dining table on the two large covered patios. You are on top of the village and do not hear anything from the traffic and noise of the roads below. You can admire the beauty of the views over the hills from the patio and enjoy the quiet location of our property. We hope to welcome you many times still in the future

We loved your remark that this is the best house in which you spent your holidays. Thank you so much for this compliment. What we and our guests appreciate most is the intimacy of our south-oriented villa. It is completely secluded, nobody can see you in the garden, in the pool or on the patio or terrace; yet you are only one minute on foot away from the old village’s centre of Valbonne, our16 century old village with its 12 century abbey and church. The village has many restaurants at all ranges of prices, and many shops and markets. The beauty is that you do not need a car to go out shopping and dining and you can go on foot to the local bar, club, restaurant or cinema. There are other houses that claim to be close to the village, but you have to take a busy road with lot of heavy car traffic on it, whereas our villa is on top of a small private path with a dead end that leads you in one minute on foot directly into the heart of the old village of Valbonne. No through traffic, at the most a car of a neighbor passes you on your 100 meter stroll to the village Or of course you can also remain in the entirely fenced-in garden and secured pool or go to Cannes and its beaches in 20 minutes by car or by bus ( fare only €1.50 ), the bus stops just 100 meters from the house and brings you right to Cannes.
