Love Raymond Island!

We loved our trip to Raymond Island. The location of the house was perfect, opposite the water and only a short walk to the ferry.

The view of the house was great, and the rooms were all as listed with a fun play area upstairs for the kids. Unfortunately the house was incredibly dusty, causing a lot of sneezing and congestion at night when trying to sleep. We opened all the windows everyday to try and let out the musty smell, but even the overhead fan was covered in so much dust it made it worse. We didn't use the fireplace and the microwave stank of curry. The house needs a thorough clean. We actually left a day early because the allergies and sneezing became unbearable and we were all overtired.

At first a few teething problems with getting the fire going but Caroline at the Lakes Escapes was very helpful and sorted it all out straight away. The views of the open expansive water was just magnificent and so relaxing. The house had a lovely holiday feel and was ideal for a small group.

Very nice location for a holiday ..!

Awesome location for a holiday. Enjoyed the stay, however there were no cooling on the premises and we landed on a hot day. Could not sleep in that night due to the heat. There were lot of bugs inside the house. The outside light near the BBQ was not functional. We could not see anything on the BBQ. Overall a nice experience. However you can improve some facilities inside the premises.

In the future, please let your hosts know regarding a blown light globe, as we would come and fix that straight away for you to enjoy your BBQ experience. In regards to the bugs, we are fighting them in the warmer weather across all our properties, and surface spray before every guest. We are glad you enjoyed the location, and look forward to hosting you again sometime for a more enjoyable holiday!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arrived beautiful location, to find there was no hot water to shower, tried to get over that, had a great next day touring the Gippsland lakes brought some outstanding steaks and nice wine to have a BBQ that night.No gas for BBQ no wine glasses for wine.Back yard over grown covered in bark debris, we spoke to managers of the property about our disappointment they did not care in the least.Great spot badly managed, first bad review we have ever made and we travel a lot!!

It is peaceful too. The house is simple and comfortable as has a well equipped kitchen and the fresh bread was very welcome.

Amazing place to relax

Property is clean and tidy, lots of appliances and utensils. Everything was there from covers, bed sheets, towels, even foldable beach chairs, BBQ in good working condition, however we couldn't locate the light switch next to the bbq. Just needs internet for teens mainly as they always on YouTube and stuff
