Great place to stay

The house is great with a nice kitchen and good sized rooms. A very short walk to the beach. A fire pit in backyard in a nice setting. The outdoor shower was great to wash off the sand before going in the house. Really enjoyed our stay!

Great get away

We enjoyed our long weekend at this home! Overall lovely property and great location. I will note that we were disappointed not to be able to use the grill as it really needed cleaning before being useable.

Good location

The house is located near the boats for the Channel Islands (5 min drive). The beach is just a few steps away. Good restaurants nearby that accommodated my daughter's dietary needs (Celiac). Kitchen is well equipped. Washer and dryer on site.

Fun Family Vacation

We had a great trip. The house was clean and comfortable. We rented the same house last summer. It is located on a lane midway between Pierpont and the beach and for us, it is 3 doors down from my aunt and uncle. My only complaint is that the BBQ grill was out of propane and we had to borrow from my aunt and uncle. I left a message for the property manager and never heard back.

Perfectly Convenient to the Beach

Spent Spring Break here. Check in was easy, directions to setup for our stay and for when we checked out was easy to follow. Had a grill and fire pit, perfect for those nights where we sat outside for dinners and to relax and listen to the ocean waves. Walking distance to the beach so it was easy to go as many times a day as we wanted without having to drive and find parking. Plenty of towels for us to use at the beach, had bikes available (didn't have to use but convenient should you want to ride around) and beach toys for the little ones. Read some reviews about there not having toiletries (they had shampoo available) and honestly, didn't bother me because I travel with my own toiletries anyway. Overall, great little spot for eight of us. Would recommend if you're looking for a nice lowkey convenient spot to the beach.

Could have been better

The “newly remodeled beach bungalow” has much to offer and a few shortcomings. Our only complaint is that upon arrival there were a few issues: low propane tanks for fire pit and bbq, second bathroom tub would not properly drain, and a curtain rod mount fell from the wall. Upon contacting the assigned contact, we were instructed in troubleshooting these issues ourselves rather than immediate response and resolution. We did not pay for home maintenance chores; we paid for a trouble free vacation home. About 48 hours into our stay all issues were resolved.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The propane tank for the fire pit and BBQ has been replaced with a new one.- The second bathroom's tub drain has been repaired, and future guests will be advised to check the stopper position if needed. The curtain rod was securely reinstalled during your stay to prevent further inconvenience.We’re glad these issues were resolved quickly, and we appreciate your patience as the homeowner worked to address them. could be better, with attention

sink faucet sprayer damaged, windows & screens dirty, no extra trash bags, towel cupboards were a mess, coffee pot filthy, outdoor table and chairs covered with spiders and webs (I had to clean them), some bulbs were broken on outdoor lights. Neither mini-split air conditioner worked and when I inquired they said they were only for heating; I found that strange as I've never seen mini-split a/c systems installed only for heat. That being said the place is well located and nice. They just need to pay a little more attention to organization, cleanliness, and if you want trash taken out at least supply bags.

Cute but wouldn’t stay again

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was very pretty and very close to the beach, but not the most comfortable. The couch was very small, the kitchen had lots of dishes but not a lot of towels or plastic wrap- things like that. There wasn’t anything here to clean the counters so we had to go shopping to buy cleaning supplies for a rental. The neighbors were extremely loud and drove diesel trucks so the house would fill with exhaust every time they drove by. It was too hot to close the windows. Oh, and there were ants everywhere!! We liked having two bathrooms, the yard was fantastic, and the beds were comfortable.

Ventura Beach Getaway

Six (former teachers) of us enjoyed a long weekend at Ventura Beach. The location is perfect, just a short walk to a beautiful beach with minimal people! It was wonderful to watch locals and visitors frolic in the ocean with their dogs. Back at the house the fire pit was a wonderful addition to the backyard, but please be aware the BBQ grill didn't seem safe with a rusted, and corroded base. The kitchen had a great set up, all appliances worked with lovely cabinets, all the utensils/tools you would need to make a great meal. The beds were comfy and bathrooms were sufficient, but remember to bring your own shower/bath soaps because there are none provided. When you turn the hot water heater on, adjust the dial higher than what the directions say if you are with a large group. We had an issue with the sofa bed that went unresolved. We were told we weren't doing it correctly, that it was a 6 year old couch that had no problems to this point. We did everything we were told to put the bed back into the sofa but we weren't able. Just know the house it may not accommodate 8 people if you are planning to use the couch as a bed. There are two AC units in the house and each bedroom is equipped with floor fans in the closets, which was greatly appreciated!!

Awesome location. Clean house

Our trip was quick, and it rained one of the days. But we would definitely come back to this house. The location was perfect. Close to the beach and close to our daughter and her family. We loved exploring Ventura. The house is very well stocked in the backyard would be perfect when it’s dry. 😀

Great location, nice kitchen and living area

For the most part we really enjoyed our stay in this home. The kitchen and living area were great - modern amenities and lots of room. We didn't get to use the outdoor living space much since our stay coincided with California's rain events! The two non-master bedrooms have no heat source, so they got pretty cold at night - and we had to leave the doors open so they could get some heat from the main area. One big problem for us was that there was construction going on in the house next door. Very noisy from 8 a.m. till after 5 p.m. every day we were there - not very conducive to lazy afternoon naps!
