My family and I returned last Saturday from a one week stay at The Timbers- Bachelor Gulch property. I had originally reserved a suite at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch, but stumbled upon this property the week before our trip and after a flurry of e-mails with the local property manager Erin (she patiently answered all my questions) I took a chance and booked this unit.
We were so blown away by this gorgeous property and immaculate unit. First of all, I was worried about booking with no contract but as soon as I made my reservation I was contacted by the Timbers concierge to confirm my dates and details. I even called and asked the concierge if this was a good unit and she assured me it was! Check in was amazing, a stunning lobby and architecture, the concierge going over all the ammenities with us. I thought my husband was going to fall out of his chair when he heard about the cookie "humidor" that is filled daily. Fresh lemonade, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruit flavored water, member activities such as wine tasting and crafts... Redbox type free movie rentals, games for the kids, management thought of everything. We have been fortunate enough to stay at many nice properties all over Hawaii, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Arizona... this was by far the nicest out of the Fairmonts, Ritz and Waldorf Astoria brands we have visited. My family LOVED it here. We hiked, rafted, took the shuttle to Beaver Creek, went horse back riding, swimming, visited Vail a few time, and did a train/silver mine tour in Georgetown. At the end of our day we were so happy to come back to this unit and relax and talk about our adventures. We fully utilized the kitchen and washer/dryer. We were so busy on our adventures that it was nice to come "home" and eat in the dining room. The photos are accurate for this unit, the description accurate, it was so clean I did yoga daily on the living room carpet (I have never done that in another rental ever!!) The booking agent (Erin Heath) was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend this to anyone although I hope its available to book again if I get the chance to come back to CO!
