Loved the condo, disappointed with amenities

The condo was a great size for several families. There weren't enough towels for 4 bedrooms worth of people. The full size kitchen and pull out sofas were great. We were so disappointed being on the second floor because it literally sounded like the family on the third floor was in our bedrooms every night. They were loud and stomping, running, playing loud music, etc until 2am every night. Walls must be paper thin. Security was excellent in taking care of our complaints as soon as possible. The amenities (pools, put-put, shuffleboard, etc all close between 5pm and 8pm!! The is just insane to me. We spend out day hours out exploring Williamsburg then come to the resort in the evening to continue to enjoy our amenities. Paying that much money to stay here and we didn't get to enjoy anything. It was so disappointing. The condos were pretty clean but we did find a large cockroach in one of the bathrooms. Overall we will not be staying at this resort again.

WARNING - make sure you call the place directly and give your names!!

Beautiful Location and was pretty nice inside except for the long hairs that were inside the shower on the wall. But biggest problem was that the person who is selling you the listing is not there and doesn't have anything to do with the property so when there is a problem like when 10 or your party of 12 will not be allowed to check in he does answer his phone or respond to emails. So here is what happened. I knew that I would be arriving late (around midnight) and I made sure I listed the other people's names on the VRBO site so that they could get in before me even though Steve did not say I had too. My party of 10 was sent away, not allowed in and had to go and find hotel reservations at 10 pm at night. The next day when I got a hold of Steve he told me that it was not his problem, that the problem was with VRBO and I didn't give him their names even though I sent him a photo of where I put them in the site. So, I am out over half of my purchase price!! because he said it would have to come out of his pocket if he refunded me. Definitely do not book this site or make sure you call many times ahead so that the resort itself can tell you that everyone will be allowed in.

not the cleanest

For the most part, this was a good hotel. the bathrooms had not been cleaned though. I called housekeeping, and someone came with a scrub brush and spray? When she left, the body hair remained all over the floor and in both showers/tubs. I wasn't super excited to shower and use the bathroom, but was only there for 2 nights, and tried not to think about it. Also...there were 2 different phone calls, and 1 face to face interaction to try and get me to sit through a presentation to invest in their vacation resort...I couldn't even begin to think about investing in a resort that doesn't know how to clean a bathroom after its guests leave.

Room not as described

I thought I was renting a 4 bedroom condo that had 2 king beds and then 2 rooms with twin beds which was perfect for my family...we have 4 kids.. but I got 2 queens instead of twins which caused sleeping arrangement issues. That was a bit disappointing. The ceilings are thin so we heard the above tenants walking around everywhere at 4am each morning! But the rooms were nice enough. Water pressure left little to be desired. And at check in, be prepared to be pressed on sitting in on a time share presentation. But the location was great for all the things to do and see!

Not worth the price

This property is not worth the cost. The units are dated and cheaply finished and ours had large dark stains on the floors. There's no maid service, although you pay extra for a "cleaning fee." You also pay a daily "resort fee" for all the things you get for free at any local hotel. We needed a 3 bedroom in a pinch and this was all that was available. At the price we thought we were getting resort quality rooms. The rooms reminded us more of a cheap apartment you had before you could afford a nicer place. They also immediately shuffle you to the "concierge desk" at check-in where they asked us for a lot of personal information and tried to sign us up for a timeshare presentation. On check out day they disabled all of our room keys before the stated check out time, necessitating a call to security to let us in to get the last of our things. We'll never go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Amazing place to stay

My sister and her family were visiting us from London and there were 9 of us. So we took a two condos combined kind of a place. It was so convenient. We had our own spaces and kids could go around everywhere. Everything was very clean and well kept. Our condo was really close to the swimming pool. The whole resort is so nice and well kept. Lot of places to walk around. The kitchen was well stocked with a lot of utensils. Th bathrooms were big and bright. The beds were comfortable. We had many TV's, so kids and adults could watch different things. The deck was also nice and big. Couches were comfortable. This place is close to Busch Gardens. We also drove to Virginia Beach one day. I would absolutely recommend this place to stay. I have stayed in Powhatan and other resorts in Williamsburg. This was the best of all. The property owner was also very responsive. He gave us all the required information and kept in touch throughout the process. All in all, it was an amazing stay.
