Great location, accommodating hosts

The location is perfect, the bed and furniture very comfortable, and Deborah and Rainer were patient with my pre-visit questions and graciously accommodating to my needs. Rainer introduced himself soon after my arrival. He let me know that he'd be putting up a fence directly outside of my cabin. He was so quiet that I wouldn't have known he'd been there if he hadn't told me. Having stayed in Orewa rentals over the years, when visiting local family, this one compared very nicely to the generally good offerings in town. I loved walking just mere minutes to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, Sunday market, and more, all while being on the edge of the residential part of town, which allowed for easy walking to be with my family. My sincere thanks to Rainer and Deborah (and I hope your son had a lovely vacation with you).

Great place to stay at

We enjoyed the proximity of everything, was great to be able to walk to the shops, restaurants and the beach! The cabin was tidy and had everything we needed, even though it's quite small.

Simple and perfect

We had a great time. House was very clean and tidy upon arrival. Great location - really close to the shops and beach. Unfortunately we had to leave the second day due to a family death so we went jnto loss there booking for 2 nights but would definitely book again.

Excellent choice

Close to all amenities we enjoyed the easy access to all areas within walking distance. The long coastline was visually pleasant and swimming safe. The cabin provided all we required. A very relaxing weekend.

Great little place

Great place to stay, lock box for the key was a bit hard to open. And inside could probably do with a couch, but overall was a lovely place

Great location

Property was perfect for our needs. Very clean and tidy. Bathroom door needs adjustment as won't lock. Would happily stay again.

Little cabin by the beach

Thank you Rainer, we had a lovely two day in Arewa. The cabin was perfect, in a great position for shops and lovely beach. Only one thing we might suggest is a small bath mat in the shower, we found the surface very slippy. Would certainly book with you again. Many thanks Joan & Richard

Great place for convenience to town, excellent privacy and very clean. Has most of the comforts you'd have at home. Great lighting. Many hotels and motels have really poor lighting but here is amazing. For a couple who read to relax this was awesome.

Walk on the Beach.

Our cabin was quite small but well planned. Its main virtue was its easy walking distance to Orewa Beach and also the village centre with shops, supermarket and restaurants. Although so centrally located, it was wonderfully quiet and private.

Great Placee for a relaxing weekend break away.

The unit was beautiful and clean, well equipped with all you need. Location was excellent, quiet, away from the business of the main street but close enough to walk to beach, shops and supermarket.

Kea cabin, though compact, was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It is in a great location - close to supermarket, eating places and the beach. We would stay there again.

Short break

I would thoroughly recommend Kiwi Cabins, I’m a senior on my own felt very safe in area , lovely walk in shower, comfy bed , walking distant to beach and shops. I will certainly would used them again.

Complete autonomy with check in and check out using key-lock access. Please note, there is a one-off $94 NZD cleaning fee for the cabins and $170 for the house which is pet friendly. Credit card fees apply.

Peaceful and quiet with onsite free parking. Location is on the border of residential to one side and shops, cafe, restaurants to the other. The local bus stop is within 50m. The contour is flat with most things within an easy walk. The property also provides free bikes and beach gear for the exclusivity of guests to use on a first come basis.
