We were only here for a few days, so we made the best of it. If it were any longer, I may have addressed some issues.
Not the best option if you have little ones. We have kids & obviously know they're going to get dirty but we had to do a quick clean of our own before we were comfortable letting them unpack.
The unit could definitely use a good scrub down. We first noticed the floors weren't cleaned or even broom swept thoroughly. The vents throughout have an inch of dust on them. The small throw/area rugs in the kitchen & bathrooms haven't been washed in a while. The comforters clearly weren't washed as there was visible sand and hair left. We made do, but I can see how some people would be disappointed, considering you're paying a cleaning fee.
This unit is directly next door to the maintenance/managers unit, whom are heavy smokers. We made sure not to leave slider open being there is a sign in garage that says you'll be charged if cigarette smoke can be smelled. Garage has tile and is very slippery when wet. We had a few falls from either rinsing the beach things off or from the rain.
This unit is also at the entrance off the main road- there is no ongoing sidewalk to the beach, so you'll have to walk all the way around complex to access the boardwalk with your things (about 1/4 of a mile), should you not drive on beach. Boardwalk is steps only- no ramps for coolers or wagons. Pools are small and patio furniture was a little dated & weathered but, there's a pool & you can just throw your towel over the chair to avoid the broken pieces of chairs. Also, no patio tables at either pool. Many people live in this complex full-time & can spot a renter quickly. We had one lady pay us two visits asking about our stay- not in a welcoming way, but almost bothered we were there. To each their own, but it was somewhat awkward. Some units were undergoing construction, which was loud at times & we had to be mindful of ladders & extension cords when walking to the pools with kids.
