Holiday

Bathroom was good rest of unit needs updating. Bit of a pest problem with ant and cockroach’s. the bed was the worst I’ve slept on in a long time. And tv didn’t have all channels as it wasn’t even hd very old. Not much except the bathroom has changed since we stayed here for our honeymoon 28 years ago.

Holiday at No2 Cove Apartments

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: this was a travel auction, I would advise to check before you submit online before sending quote's. We arrived on the Monday and the apartment was musty and smelt very stale, even after airing as we locked up every time we left and it smelt the same. My husband brought the bin in as it had been emptied, the following morning he went to put some rubbish in the bin, and someone had dumped asbestos in it turned out it was the caretaker who lives by, the bin was emptied the next day and was not washed out and pvc piping was placed in there and he comes to the property to sit and watch from the apartments above us overlooking the pool/spa and comes in to do maintenance for pool etc. without notifying us first, which was a bit disturbing. Also the spa didn't work they didn't let us know that and also didn't notify when it was back working, none of the wooden lounges had cushions. Very basic cookingutensils, crockery and saucepans/frypans were quite old needing updated. stove was so old the hotplates were rusty and no handle on oven door OHS issue, the unit needs a lot of renos the bathroom was great that was new but everything else hadn't been updated since it was built many years ago. the outside grounds are not kept very well, paths overgrown with plants, paths not swept, cobwebs everywhere on the building outside, the only thing it had going for it was the location sadly, if I had of known how good no3 was I would have booked that one but property management told me they were the same, which was not true. I filled out the form when we left and dropped it of at the office with keys, the admin lady said they would take it to the next srata meeting, hopefully the council were notified as well. I have not received any updates/outcomes regarding the Asbestos being dumped illelagaly???

Loved the abundant butterflies & birds outside our window.Improvement is needed with bedding (mattresses, pillows).Loved the pool but would benefit from hand rails as had difficulty getting out. Elderly and disabled would struggle. Hot water system went cold at end of stay.

Amazing Location

Wonderful location, the new bathroom was lovely. Definitely needs the bedroom to be updated especially the matress in the main bedroom. Absolutely loved the pool, spa and tennis courts.

A little disappointed

Reviewer Comments: The cive apartments Carackalinga..We were all excited.. but slowly was deflated when we got to the apartments. The cheap Ikea bed was very uncomfortable. The place wasnt really clean.. microwave was dirty.. the shower unclean and the shower curtain clinged to you if you used the exhaust fan.. we could only shower with the bathroom door open. The loung chairs terribly uncomfortable as they used a wooden board under the cushions. The tv had no channels and i had to ring up to get some assistance and then after many attempts noticed the aerial connection wasnt in the wall and was rather loose..causing many breaking of the show we was trying to watch..Overall this has made us thing twice about these apartments. Considering we have been there 2 other times its not up to standard. And the the insult of having to pay $70 cleaning fee before our stay was rather sad that we had to clean it up...and cleaned when we left.. we put bins out etc.. I will not recommend it to anyone. when we got the keys they didnt even tell us which apartment we were in...we had to go back to real estate and ask 😒

Great family spot.

We had a great long weekend here. The pool is really nice and we spent heaps of time swimming with the kids! It is also very close to one of the best beaches in Adelaide! The accommodation was dated but served it's purpose well, providing a space for the family to relax in-between activities.

Avoid weekends if travelling with young kids.

The property was quite dated and really could do with a reno. The toilet seat had to be disinfected because it had not been cleaned from a previous visitor and I had to take care of an ant infestation on the inside of the window that faces where the bins are (I had to go to town and get bug spray as there was none). The property is well located for the beach and handy to have the pool and tennis courts close by, which we made use of each day. Thursday night was peaceful, however Friday night we (including the kids) were kept up until 1.30am with people in unit 3 having a pool party. Loud music, loud swearing and screaming and doing divebombs in the pool etc. No cops on duty anywhere close to enforce curfew so we had to endure it. The next day, the pool area was unusable because there were half eaten raw steak bones on the poolside as well as glass near the BBQ area. Kids were disappointed and we were knackered from being kept up half the night. The location is great, but such a shame that it was not the peaceful getaway we'd hoped for.

A perfect base for a family beach holiday

We loved staying here. The unit has everything you need for a fun and relaxing beach vacation with family or friends. We loved how close the unit is to the beach and the fact that you have access to a pool, tennis courts, a bbq and a spa. Only downside were that you have to provide your own linen and towels. There was no laundry either so if you’re staying longer you would have to do laundry in town at a laundromat. Overall though we really enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for four nights at the Carrickalinga apartments, unit 2. It was clean and roomy enough for two people. We would have liked to find some salt and pepper and a coffee plunger as these were not things we thought we needed to bring. Otherwise it was well provisioned with crockery and cutlery, if mismatched , but we had to replace batteries for the TV remote. It is a bit tired and in need of renovations but quite adequate for our needs and we enjoyed our stay.
