Barlovento

The condo units are very nice once your inside. I had to enter through the parking garage every time i came and went. The hot water "on demand" only seemed to work one time in 7 days. The showers were cool to say the least. Early morning and all day construction on both sides of the building. We experienced constant concrete drilling throughout the day. I will not book their again

Unbelievable Views

Staying at the Barlovento was a treat! The balcony offered a beautiful view of Banderas Bay and the condo was well equipped and clean! The swimming pools were a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. While not right in town, buses and cabs were readily available. If we had any problems the owner was quick to respond as was the property manager. A great place to relax!!

Pros and Cons

Anyone considering this property should be aware that there are huge construction projects on both sides with loud construction noises all day, all week. This will probably continue for several years as one is in the early stages. When completed, the view of the bay will be obliterated to the right and left as both buildings project out close to the ocean. This particular condo is directly under the swimming pool so there’s noise of the water moving through the pipes, quite loud in second bedroom . It is located between Bucerius and La Cruz so if you are planning to dine out, you can take a bus, Uber, or taxi or walk a mile into town. We used all of those methods. However, next time we’ll choose a place where we can walk a few blocks to eat. The TV is connected to Netflix but no cable. This was annoying during a high news week and the SUPERBOWL. We prefer to keep our passports in a safe. There was a large one but batteries were dead. They responded to our request by sending a bag of batteries but no key to open safe to put in batteries. The lights, especially in bathroom are very low voltage and half were out. Reported and told they would be replaced and running toilet fixed. It didn’t happen. The night before we checked out, we reminded them of issues so they could be fixed for next guest. They offered to fix the problem but we didn’t want to spend our last eve (Valentines Day) with workers in condo when we were leaving next AM. Finally, the large spa you see in the pics that overlooks the bay doesn’t work.According to other owners in building, it hasn’t worked for over a year. The condo is large with 2 bedrooms and 3 baths. There’s a large lap pool on the roof which we basically had to ourselves. It was very nice. There isn’t seem to be many people staying in this building. In fact, there were only 2 cars on the parking deck on our level (the kitchen looks directly into the parking deck.) It’s too bad there’s so much construction so close to the building but of course, this isn’t the owners fault. Still good to be aware of if you are considering this property.

Outstanding

Stayed for 7 nights with family and loved it, the accommodation's are lovely. The staff in the building so helpful and kind, was given a list of restaurants that we loved. Getting around was easy and inexpensive. They even offered to stock the fridge with what we would need on arrival, Wow! I will be going back for sure and hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Luxury all the way!!!!!!!!!!

This penthouse is huge!!! The best owner ever! The condo was so beautiful and comfortable at the same time. So much space. The beds were comfortable and all the amenities were there. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. I had a car while there and going in and out was perfect. Just a few steps from the front door...garage was on the same level as the condo. The pool area incredible! Can't wait to get back down there.

Breathtaking views right on the ocean!

This condo is beautifully decorated and fully decked out. Gorgeous high ceilings, feels like your floating above the water. Well set up for dining inside and out. Sleeps six easily with inflatable double. Very comfy beds! Super fast internet. Underground parking for the car rental and pool side food delivered by a great restaurant down the beach.
