Great location, easy walk to the beach and shops. Late check-in was difficult but that was the only downside.

Lovely and convenient home and Manzanita

Check in and access in and out of the house was very easy. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped. The house was nicely furnished and the proximity to both beach and to town was perfect.

The check-in process was easy and the kitchen, along with the rest of the house, was clean. Although, the house isn't located next to the beach, it's close enough by a short walk.

Spacious home, around the corner from the coffee shop in the main strip in Manzanita. Will definitely return.

Great Stay!

We had a lovely time at Meredith’s! Very clean and well stocked. A wonderful location. It’s a short walk to the beach and the farmer’s market on Friday.

The dryer was broken when we got there and filled with wet towels, as was the washer. We spent a week there and they did nothing other than take our calls and say sorry.The place was also not cleaned well. I wouldn't use Meredith Lodging again.

Girls get away

My sisters and cousin spent a week here and it was wonderful. The house was in a great location, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We would stay here again for sure!

Nice spot in great location!

We enjoyed our short stay - the house has plenty to of space and is comfortable. The best part is the location - within walking distance to coffee, breakfast, the beach and more. The morning of our stay, I reached out to see if it would be possible to check in an hour or so early but never received a response. Overall, great stay and would recommend.

This was a trip for my daughter’s 16th birthday. I think the house was fine but the location was a little further from the beach than was described and backed up to a parking lot which was not in the description. Also there was a lot of dog feces in the driveway and around the property

Roomy and Clean Home

We rented the house for 11 nights. It was very comfortable, the bedrooms, baths and living room very roomy. The appliances all worked great, and the location just a few blocks to the beach and one block from Laneda Street where most of the shops lie. An 18 hour power outage due to high winds was no problem. We stayed warm, and using lanterns purchased at the local grocery, played cards all evening and slept well.

A Manzanita Gem

After all these years of visiting the Oregon coast at various locations this was our First overnight in Manzanita. How wonderful to have picked a Gem. We could not have been happier with our stay. The Home was very clean, warm and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. Great detailed communications from the Property manager. We WILL be back and tell our families and friends,

Quick getaway

Great place to stay with children & teens. Beach is gorgeous especially at night under the stars. Only thing we needed to be thoughtful about was what appliances/electrical was plugged in & being used as it kept triggering the breakers in the house. Property manager was responsive to our call for help. Thanks so much!

Pros and cons

The pros are indicated by 5 stars. Improvements that would make it even better: manager had to be prompted to email check-in procedure; nothing was provided in the way of condiments, even salt and pepper. The host at the last VRBO I stayed in left us a bottle of wine, a box of Pringles, a small container of cookies, and a Keuring coffee maker, including some pods.

The home was the perfect size for our family of 4 and had a charming home like characteristic. It was clean and had everything we needed all within a very short walk to restaurants and coffee. It was less than a mile to the beach and a quick walk down through the main part of town. It's not the fanciest, most high tech modern place but it was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. The price was extremely reasonable, thank you. In my mind this place was a high value!

Great vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house, great location. But, the place wasn't very clean when we arrived. Wet towels left in washer & stains on mattress covers when we changed the sheets. The floor had lots of crumbs/debris and there was no vacuum to take care of it ourselves. Had a toddler with us, so that was a little frustrating. Otherwise, great place. Perfect for our family vacation.

lack of communication

if it was a different time it would have been good, however, there was road construction and pipe work during our stay. the road was closed to vehicle traffic and the water was shut off every day during our stay. there was no accommodation for this from meredith lodging. when we informed them of the issue they didnt care

Amazing location, older house

You can’t beat the location .. close to the main street of shops and restaurants. The house had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. The living room furniture was comfortable and newish. The tv worked well. The kitchen was stocked with appropriate dishes, cookware and appliances. We found sand in the sheets of one of the beds so I washed all bedding. Not sure if they forgot the change that one bed. The pillows were very old, flat and stained. The beds were comfortable. After walking and hiking for hours each day, a hot shower was necessary and the plumbing didn’t disappoint. All four of us could take hot showers one right after the other without running out of hot water. Lastly, a couple of Adirondack style chairs for the lovely front deck would be nice. I wanted to spend all my time outside!

We love Manzinita!!!

Overall this home gave us everything we needed to have a fun and relaxing time in Manzinita! The location was perfect! We loved being able to walk into town within a few short blocks. The wonderful coffee, Manzinita News and Expresso shop was right around the corner and Yolk is a great breakfast spot just across from the coffee shop. So convenient to be able to walk easily to everything and down to the beach! The home with it’s 3 good size bedrooms worked perfect for our family with 2 couples and one baby. The only complaint we would say is that the home is in need of upgrades to some of the kitchen pots and pans and to bathroom towels. Most, if not all, the pans have the non-stick surface wearing off and it flakes off into your food when cooking. So unhealthy and unappetizing. For the amount of $ you pay to stay at this home it would seem like a small investment on the owners part to buy new and longer lasting cookware. It might sound picky but the cutting boards should be thrown out as well. Some of the bathroom towels are thin and raggedy and should be thrown out also. In my opinion, these few, simple upgrades would make all the difference to making this otherwise delightful, sunny home more inviting and it would show that the owners and management company really do care to make your stay more enjoyable and that they value guests reviews. These simple things to fix wouldn’t break the bank by any means. We hope when we choose to stay at this home again, we will see these simple improvements!

really dated and tired

no extras, barely stocked, centerpiece for the table was a broken plastic flower on a paper towel holder with no paper towel, no mattress pad so sheets slid off constantly. signs taped with electric tape. cant use wood in fireplace but there is wood next to it. shower head from 80s, cassette tape player...needs an update and some tlc. it has such potential, the photos are misleading.
