Valspar stay

Property was clean and comfortable and beautiful. Photos were accurate. Nice location, felt comfortable going out for a walk in the morning. Host stayed in touch and communicated all necessary details.Very happy with our stay.

Perfect Vacation Home!

We had such a wonderful time on vacation & this house was perfect for our family of 5! The beds were comfy, house was well kept, & right in the middle of town close to anything you need! Will definitely stay here again on our next vacation!

Quick Family Getaway

Chose Tampa for a quick family get away. Property extremely clean…Very quiet neighborhood. Close to airport, restaurants. Went to baseball training camp for Blue Jays (Dunedin) and Yankees. Great time!

Great Location

My stay in the Tampa Vrbo house was great. The house offered many amenities. The house was close to the city’s hot spots. The house was very comfortable for six people without crowding each other. My friends and I felt safe in the neighborhood. Mr. Lee was a gracious host. He was always available to answer any questions. I will definitely stay again when visiting Tampa.

Great Spot for Family

We enjoyed a family getaway for fall break. Nice location for exploring Zoo Tampa and the rest that Tampa has to offer. Nice distance from the beaches as well for a day trip. Place was clean and well-maintained. Appreciated having a stocked kitchen for making meals. No complaints.

Loved everything about the house. Conveniently located to all places we needed to go. Favorite part of the house was the Florida room at the back of the house.

A great find

The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The Florida room and back yard were great for chilling out after a long day Jimmy was super quick to respond to any questions we had.

Nice Location for Getaway

We had no issues while staying here. The house was bigger than it appears and managers were attentive and nice. There is some road noise from the nearby highway, but nothing that bothered us. The location is convenient to Busch Gardens, Downtown and less than an hour from the Gulf beaches. We had a great visit.

The worst stay imaginable

Some of the most stressful & unpleasant weeks of our lives; I should’ve heeded the warning of the other negative reviews. Booked for 3 wks w/ husband, 2 toddlers infant. We didn’t even make it to end of rental & vacated early, spending 2x as much just to get somewhere safer & comfortable. Host was nice before booking, but immediately combative & uncooperative after arrival. Most responses abrasive & condescending, something never experienced before from any host. Our probs included:- Stray pitbull on property many unrestrained throughout neighborhood, constant barking- House is *directly* across from highway, noise unbearable 24/7- Mostly low income housing area, many homeless people & strange cars idling out front- Direct neighbor revs engines & works on cars starting 6am & again 6pm- Things we found broken: window, cabinet, freezer door handle, shower handle, blinds, driveway, backyard lights, garbage bins, bath plug, furniture (I informed owner there were things needing repair & he didn’t even ask what they were, insisted it was “a great value” to stay here - it is not)- Thermostat locked so you can’t change heat/AC mode- Backyard disheveled & not as pictured- Floors filthy, cleaners had to come mop after check-in. A lot of dust. Food trash found under bed from prev guest.- Bathrooms use motion-sensor lights you can’t turn off. When showering, the room goes black.- & finally, it appears owner uses fake name- makes you wonder whyRenters beware!

Overnight vrbo

We were a group of 6 for an overnight waiting to catch a cruise ship next day. We chose a vrbo instead of a hotel so we could be together the night before. Overall it wasn’t a bad place. The location was just ok. One of the bedrooms had a very bad mattress that the couple sleeping on it did not sleep well. The backyard was simple and only had 5 chairs to the outdoor set (we were 6 people). The shared shower our guests took cold showers as we learned only after we left that you had to turn it a certain way a couple of times before getting hot water. Maybe a sign should be out there to inform people before using the shower.

Living area, family room, Sofa🛋 with Stains dirty.

Not hot water for shower or bath. Had to purchase stopper to closeup bathtub and heat water for a hot bath. 🔥 Sofa in family room with dirty Stains. Lastly, someone entered about midnight looked around and left. We kept bedrooms doors locked to for safety. Note. Very helpful if contact with someone to help with solutions by phone. Thanks Nice place, location great. Feedback on those items please. Your place is ideal Again.

Great house, great location in Tampa.

This is a very nice house with lots of room and accessories. Very nicely decorated, the home was equally comfortable. We loved the convenience of the location as we spent time at the Florida Aquarium, Glazer Childrens Museum, and Busch Gardens. We also ate at a great restaurant, Ulele, in downtown. The only downside for us was that we had our 1-year-old grandbaby with us. This meant moving a lot of things out of harm's way and constantly being on guard due to steps inside the house. We didn't even use the beautiful backyard because of dangerous paving stones. Great home for a family if the kids are old enough to be in a bedroom away from the parents. Only other inconvenience was being so close to the freeway which was noisy at times.

Not as advertised

We had booked this place for 19 days while visiting family. The description states that they have cable/satellite, they do not, roku only. Talked to owner who wanted me to get an antenna. This would not have been a problem if we were staying for a couple of days. I informed the owner that I would be vacating the next day and requested a refund of unused portion. To date have not received reply or refund.

Great family getaway

My husband and I stayed here with my parents to celebrate my parents’ 30th anniversary and visit some friends near the area. The host Jim was very responsive throughout our stay. There was an issue with the internet at the beginning of our stay, and Jim was very flexible with our schedule of being away from the house most of the day and was willing to wait until later in the evening to work with the internet provider to get the issue resolved. After that, we had no issues and everything was great! We felt very safe in the area. It is right next to the freeway, however we did not mind the traffic noise at all; it was almost like a white noise! Being so close to the freeway, it made for very easy access to get on the road to visit our friends. Although we did not ulltlize all of the “extras” offered, I thought it was a great touch with the kids silverware, pack’n’play, and other things that would be helpful if traveling with kids, as well as various spices in the kitchen and a grill in the back yard. There was plenty of space for us to all spread out and relax in our own ways. Multiple TV’s throughout the house were nice when we all wanted to watch different shows. It was a great adult family getaway and will be a trip to remember! Thanks Jim!

Great location

I stayed here during spring break April 3-7 with 3 family members. Communication with Jimmy was very good before and during our stay. The house is in a great location, right next to the highway, so very easy to get anywhere. We had other family members there who rented another home about 10 minutes away so the location was perfect. The house was very clean and well kept. Everything we needed for our stay was available. The backyard was more appealing in the pictures but was nice and relaxing enough for us to spend some time back there. Overall, it was a great experience and stay. The only reason for the 4 stars is because on the last night of our stay, I was in the garage washing my clothes and a huge ginormous cockroach crawled from the top of the ceiling to the back of the washer and dryer. I immediately grabbed my things and shook everything in my suitcase and took it out to the car. Although I never saw anything in the house, I am now hoping that nothing crawled into my luggage and comes home with me. Because of that one thing I would not stay here again.

Worked well for what we needed

Place was great for the two of us. Couple of things to note. Not enough toilet paper left if there was more then just the two of us. No Kleenex. I’d say if there was more then 4 people there is not enough supplies and kitchen wear. Neighbour has a very loud vehicle and he goes to work at 6am every morning. Nothing the owner can do about that. When we pulled up the police were at the house directly across from us for a domestic. Again nothing the owner can do about that. The area is fine … it’s slowly becoming nicer as homes sell they’re tearing them down and building nice homes so at this point I’d say it’s 50/50 split. Surprised by the note the day before leaving that there would be a $15 cleaning fee if we used the bbq/grill and did not clean it which we did not use so that was ok. Just felt that should have been stated at the beginning of the stay. Beds were super comfy and the air conditioning worked great! Nice and clean upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay for sure … spent every day at the ball field but was nice to come back and have the place for the evenings and mornings.

Bittersweet Experience - Started Fine, ended Terribly.

Due to good reviews, booking this “luxury” house seemed exciting. Owner was initially communicative & pleasant-not Tampa local. As full-time travelers the last 5+ yrs, staying exclusively in vacation rentals for an average month at a time with a track record of full damage deposits refunds, we treat every rental as if it were our own. Spot cleaning continuously during our residency, laundering linens before leaving, even when paying cleaning fee. We leave glowing public reviews when appropriate & email owners directly with constructive suggestions when less satisfied. In this case, we sadly will leave our honest review. In good conscience, future travelers should know our experience. -Prop. mngr. entered the home w/o permission while we were out.-Prop. mngr. failed to inform us of basic things like garbage/recycling pickup details (overflowing bins upon arrival); Delayed response following texts, then inaccurate information. However, quick to get in touch when she needed something. -Prop. mngr. “reported” back to the owner following unscheduled visits. “Alex said you left food out. She said your kids were jumping on furniture.” Inaccurate & intrusive. -Property described as a “luxury” home, but neighborhood is “in transition”. Walk score of 69. Neighbors complained if parked on street near their home. Security system salesperson told of rampant neighborhood vandalism. Some homes look condemned. View of construction across the street-front yard full of debris & rotting materials for a week. -Owner informed of burglary the week after we (and other occupants) vacated. “I really hope you had nothing to do with this burglary. You seem to be very articulate and well manner person. I would be disappointed.” A shocking & offensive accusation. -No towel rods/hooks installed in either bathroom. -Middle dining room dimly lit w/ little sunlight. -Bathroom, kitchen ant infested. -King mattress on Queen box spring (eventually addressed) Queen bed uncomfortable and unaddressed, other adult slept on trundle w/ children. -Following departure, prop. mngr. claimed damage to home & billed owner for “extra hours." Owner kept full deposit while not producing photos or repair bills. Weeks later, post break-in and other tenants, limited photos of normal wear taken from multiple angles & duplicated to exaggerate damage claims as well as predated bills totaling much less than deposit were produced. A few positive amenities don't balance offensive accusations and false claims.

Centrally located and well furnished

Jimmy was a great host -- very communicative and helpful. House was as listed, quirks with the water temperature was explained in the welcome information, and if we had any issues or concerns, we had a quick reply to our message. (The dining room lights didn't seem to work, but the two switches were just not flipped correctly.) We chose the location for going to Raymond James Stadium and it was easy to get there. Lots of good restaurants just minutes away as well. A bit of highway noise, but that was mainly a nuisance when it was a few loud drag racing type engine roars.
