Great stay

Our adult family of six stayed here. It was exactly as described. Super clean, equipped with everything you would ever need and more. Paddle boat, kayaks, life vests, were a huge plus! Many local attractions are not a far drive. Pizza at the Fife lake Inn was wonderful!

Relaxing and secluded setting

Communication with property owner / manager was prompt and friendly. Property was in great shape and well stocked with all the necessary amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Plenty of games for the whole family to enjoy and pass time. Plenty of room for our party of 10. Would highly recommend and will likely rebook should we ever return to the area.

Excellent in every way

This lake is so quiet and clear. Beautiful home with great lake access from your own dock. Short drive to Traverse City and other fun getaways. Awesome accessible host to guide you through any questions. 3 beautiful bedrooms plus an awesome kid loft. Very grateful to have found this diamond.

Wonderful Cottage

We chose this cottage because of its proximity to the Traverse City area. We are three gals that just wanted a quiet place to hang out for a few days and we were delighted with this cottage! It was clean, comfortable and homey. The property was lovely. We all agreed that the sunroom was an essential part of this cottage and we used that room the most. The weather cooperated and we enjoyed swans, birds and an occasional pontoon boat motoring by on the lake. This was a perfect getaway!

Serene lake house

Lovely house in a sweet little area. Small quiet lake with lots to do. Fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, tube floating, boating- it has it all. House is spacious for multiple couples. Kitchen has everything you need. Close drive to TC. Watching lightning bugs from the screened in porch was a favorite. Short drive to Fife Lake area with a much bigger lake and some decent restaurants. Would rent this place again for sure. Side note- paying extra for laundry room was definitely odd- especially paying $50 and there was no laundry supplies. Good thing we brought our own.

Great lakeside property

We had 9 people staying here for a weekend golf trip. We all had a comfy place to sleep and the house is right next to the lake so it's quiet and soothing. Property manager was responsive and polite throughout our stay and very accommodating. Would definitely rent this place again.

Family Vacation

We loved staying here. The lake is very small but quiet and felt like we had it to ourselves. The little beach at the house was perfect for little children. They enjoyed playing on the beach and playing on the large floating matt. It was nice to have the screened porch for the rainy evening and the campfire site was perfect. Would highly recommend for a family get together.

Long lake vacation 2021

This place was a perfect lake getaway. Many places to hang out, 2 decks, sunroom, living room and den with TV and lots of movies and games to choose from. Everything you needed was in the kitchen for cooking. We loved kayaking and paddle boating on the private beach. We got some much needed quiet tile away from the city. The only downside was there was no WiFi and we had to pay to use the laundry. For the amount we paid for the week, I feel like asking an additional $50 for laundry was not appropriate. We would stay again!

Great cabin for Families

Great cabin on the lake- comfortable beds, kayaks, paddle boat, row boat, float mat! Shallow clear water! Would be nice to have fire pit in the back away from the sprinklers and a gas grill would be nice. Big enough to sleep 12 comfortably and kitchen well stocked! And everything well labeled! Overall great vacation home!!

Home away from home

This home was very clean, roomy and offered all the essentials needed to get the job done in the kitchen! I was so relieved to find all the bowls, pots, pans and silverware! The large selection of movies and games were also a plus. The bed was beyond comfortable and the pillows made u feel as if u were sleeping on a cloud. The downside to staying here was the lack of paper towels, tissue, and very few face towels made Available to us . That resulted in multiple store runs. The other downside to being here was not having any WiFi or cable. Having those extra things would have made for a perfect stay. In spite of it all we made perfect memories for such a crazy year! Thank you again

GREAT FAMILY GETAWAY SPOT

Loved the house - was just enough space our family plus a visiting family! Upstairs loft was a perfect spot for kids. House had lots of water toys like kayaks and paddle boat. Fishing on the dock was so fun for the kids . Note this is a private lake so if you rent a boat there are times you can not make a wake - when we rented we were allowed to make a wake between 11 and and 7pm. Owners were great to communicate with. Quiet neighborhood

Relaxing Vacation

We had a great week relaxing at Long Lake! The house was in great condition, comfortable beds, and a well stocked kitchen for cooking. They even had all the extras needed for the lake. Our kids loved the water mat and spent hours playing on it. The lake is fairly small but quiet and private. The listing was a bit misleading that it is called Fife Lake rental when it’s on Long lake (much smaller). The only complaint was that they had the sprinklers set to cycle from 7-9pm every night so we weren’t able to really be outside except the patio for dinner and the evening.

Awesome little cottage on the lake

This was an awesome cottage on the lake for my family to get away for a week. It was very clean and came with supplies that some cottages don’t offer; trash bags, plastic snack bags, soap, etc... The beds were comfortable and everything in the house was furnished very nicely. The only two negative things would be that there is no AC or cable. For the price that you pay, there should be AC and cable included. Overall it is a great cottage and place to take your family or friends to relax on the waterfront.

Listing has TV as an amenity. Without saying no cable, this is a little misleading. Also bought a bathmat for basement tub/shower. Very slippery, could cause problem in future. Overall very nice property.

Excellent property!

Beautiful cabin in the woods, and on the lake! Seemed very new. Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival. It was just the right size for our family of 4 and another couple. The furniture was comfortable as were the beds. The amenities were fantastic! We used everything from the kayak, paddle boat, inflatables. Did a lot of fishing from the dock and caught quite a few. And the neighbor who looks after the place even let us rent his boat! All-in-all a great place to stay and relax. We could only imagine how nice it would be in the Winter too with the fireplace on the main level and those wonderful windows. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to get away from it all. There were only two minor issues (very minor). No TV signal (TVs had DVD players) - the kids missed it, the adults did not. No AC. Not a problem normally, and wasn't really a problem for us except one day that got near 90 degrees. But by evening it had cooled down again so all was well. As I said, very minor and typical for a remote location in Michigan. We hope to be able to return to this property!
