Overall the house was a nice experience. We didn't really get to do much there due to being very busy with wedding things. (Basically we were just able to sleep there.) Lorena was great to work with.

The lake house worked out perfectly for our weekend girls trip. Plenty of room for everyone. The house was stocked with everything we needed and then some. The kayaks were also nice to be able to use, as well as the fire pit. We are already planning our next trip there. Location was perfect for Torch Lake and Traverse City outings.

The check-in process was easy. We received a code for access the morning of the day we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked. We had a small family reunion and the house, deck and grounds were plenty big enough. A couple small, trivial things: We needed to get some batteries for the downstairs remotes, the fishing gear could have been better and the deck, as happens with wooden decks, had some nails sticking up (we hammered them down). If coming to the TC area, we would consider staying here again.

Beautiful location!

Our family had a wonderful stay! The view from the deck is beautiful! It was so nice to have kayaks to use. The owners were easy to communicate with and the house has everything you could need for a relaxing vacation!

Lovely stay

This is our go to whenever we are in the area. It's a gorgeous quiet property that has anything you could need for time away. Our host was great to communicate with and always checks in on us.

A Delightful Getaway On The Lake

4 gals in their 70’s who have been friends for over 50 years take a trip each year. We usually stay outside city limits and drive into the city when we want to. The house was more than adequate, 4 bedrooms plus several couches in the family room. It was very clean, very comfortable and the view of the lake from our dining room was lovely. Best equipped kitchen we’ve ever had and Lorena, the owner is friendly & responds immediately if you have a question or an issue. I would recommend this hideaway tucked into the woods to ANYONE that is looking for a quiet, serene setting within a 20 minute drive to many great restaurants.

Great getaway

We really enjoyed this home. It was clean and very spacious. Even though there were. Only 2 of us vacationing, the house is very spacious for a group. It’s a peaceful spot and the boat was fun to go out fishing. We would consider going back with some friends.

Making memories on Rennie Lake

What a special place for a celebration of two 40th birthdays among friends! We loved Lorena's beautiful home so much we barely left! Rennie Lake is gorgeous and we enjoyed meals on the deck, swimming, hanging around the fire pit, stargazing, and listening to loon calls around sunset. We'd love to return!

Comfortable for Extended Family

Well laid-out with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our family with 6 adults and 3 grandkids. Very clean and well- stocked. Lake is nice for kayaking. Our 4th year. Family had a great time. .

Wonderful well

We had a great time staying at this property. The house is extremely roomy and very comfortable. The house has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a week on the lake. Kayaks, board games, TVs upstairs and down, space for the kids to hang out, etc. Thanks for sharing this great property with us. We will definitely be back.

Very cozy home

Our stay was very relaxing. The home was clean with plenty of space. Communication was easy, and check-in/-out was a breeze. The kitchen was fully stocked, and having washer/dryer was so helpful. I accidentally left a shoe behind, and she shipped it to me. The hosts are so very kind. Highly recommended.

Lakeside retreat

We happened to be there just as the heatwave hit. A/C was cold. Bedrooms were great for us. Nice break to cook for ourselves rather than eat out every meal. Check in and out was easy. Owners responded quickly to any questions. Thanks to L&J for offering up your home for our family vacation.

Rennie Lake Vacation

Our family enjoyed our stay at Lorena Burke’s property. It is beautiful with gorgeous lakeside views. Lorena was easy to communicate with before, during and after our visit. All of our questions and requests were answered promptly. The property is located within easy driving distance of Traverse City so we made frequent trips into town to visit restaurants, shops and sightseeing. We would definitely recommend Lorena’s to anyone looking for a secluded getaway in Northern Michigan.

We want you to enjoy time relaxing with your family in this home. Jeff and Lorena live down the road a bit in summer so we are easily available in case of concerns. We enjoy exploring the outdoors, swimming, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, skiing and any other excuse to be outdoors. We bought this house as an investment in our future, and now live here in the north full time. We look forward to the opportunity to make your time in northern Michigan as rewarding and special as we have always found our own experiences to be.

We go out of our way to provide for your needs so you can relax and enjoy your vacation time here. The seclusion of the home, with easy access to the pleasures of Traverse City and the surrounding areas make this a perfect vacation spot for you and your family and friends. The National Cherry Festival takes place during the end of June /early July. Come explore!

この宿泊施設の特徴

The fact that this home is on a quiet branch of Rennie Lake connected to but separated from the busier, more populated areas is a plus. The location is steps away from hiking trails on state land and it is a wonderful place to "get away from it all" in every season. The proximity to undeveloped land makes your view of the lake spectacular - no other cottages or homes can be seen. Even your neighbors to the left and right have maintained a privacy screen of native trees and plants. The house is big enough to accommodate your extended family, a place for kids down, adults up, or space to separate families with shared space in the living areas upstairs. In addition, it is close enough to make Traverse City easily accessible. You will love the chance to explore the area again and again.
