What a wonderful home. The owners were great to work with. Our family enjoyed the two level home. The upper level included 2 bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom and the spacious loft. The lower level has a laundry room with a bathroom, master bedroom with ensuite, living room, and kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked, including every type of spice you could possibly need.The hous is in a perfect central location. We were able to visit the Badlands, Cascade Falls, Reptile Gardens, Deadwood, Devils Tower, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, and of course Mount Rushmore.

Great Home!

We had a great experience in the Black Hills! The home is centrally located for most of the areas activities to explore and check out. Hosts Lloyd and Sherry are some of the friendliest people you will meet. The home is well maintained with a large living/gathering area and a very well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was great after a full day of hiking and exploring. We had a very minor issue with the hot water. The issue was addressed and taken care of immediately. These people care, so please respect the home and property. We are hoping to return to the area sometime, and this house would be our first choice to stay in again.

Great location for Custer, Badlands and Wind Cave

We had a great stay for hitting two more national parks...although Custer was as good as the Badlands....The location could not be beat. The amenities are spot on. Having a huge, well stocked kitchen and full laundry was great. Having a hot tub after a long day of hiking was nice.Keep in mind you are staying at someone's house, so much of their regular items are there, so you have to be respectful.

Fantastic Home Close to attractions

This was as ideal family vacation rental. The owners were gracious and accomodating in every way. The home is centrally located to all the South Dakota attractions. Tons of space and every comfort of home was taken into consideration. Thank you for sharing your home with my kids and I!

Wonderful home

We enjoyed staying at Creekside. Beautiful home/yard close to all the places we wanted to explore...Custer, Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Keystone. Would highly recommend it to other families looking for a home base while exploring all the area has to offer. Priceless memories made!

Scenic

We thought the property was great and very much what we were looking for. The hot tub was an added bonus and we spent several nights utilizing it. The only issues we had was that the owners were there when we arrived which was very awkward. It made us feel like we were kicking them out of their own home and felt intrusive. We had been on the road all day (9 hours) and when we arrived at the time of check-in we were not expecting to see anyone there. Also, a bigger issue we dealt with was moths EVERYWHERE! They were all over the home both dead and alive. It was actually kinda gross and i made sure to check the bedroom before we went to bed not wanting to share the bed with any. When we were packing and organizing our suitcase I jumped when I lifted a pair of pants and a moth crawled out. If bugs are not your things then this isn't the place for you!

Hiking Trip

Great stay for a hiking trip in the area. Centrally located to the Black Hills, Badlands, and Wind Cave. Plus Rushmore. Great hot tub and deck. And the hot caramel rolls that were dropped off were awesome! Great stay!

Beautiful Hermosa Home

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. It was spacious, had books and toys for the kids, kitchen was well stocked, large enough table for all of us to gather around, had plenty of towels for the hot tub, yard was large enough to play frisbee in and our hosts were very gracious. We were greeted with our family name on the door and caramel rolls in the kitchen, which were delicious! We enjoyed seeing deer most days in the yard or across the road on the hill. It felt like home away from home. It was convenient to many of the attractions we wanted to see. We would highly recommend staying here.

Labor Day Stay

Great weekend at this awesome home! Three bathrooms, three bedrooms and open loft with sleeping spots was great! We especially enjoyed the hot tub and deck. Owners stopped by a couple times to check in/drop off cinnamon rolls.

Amazing Stay

Everything about our stay at Creekside was perfect! Lloyd and Sherry were, hands down, the most welcoming and accommodating hosts! The property was beautiful, clean and so comfortable, not to mention conveniently located to so many area attraction. And the hot tub was an awesome bonus!

Central location

We rented this home with our adult children. House has ample space for spreading out. The location was perfect for seeing all of the sights. We didn’t use the hot tub but we did grill out multiple time. Try the local pizza place, it’s great.

Large home close to all of the sites

Great location close to all South Dakota has to offer. House had everything we were looking for. Beautiful property off of main road (not too secluded but still very private), fully equipped kitchen, grill for our use and plenty of space for our family trip! We enjoyed all of the sites by day and relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the decks at night. Wonderful hosts and even delivered home made cinnamon rolls for us to enjoy!

Cozy and well located

When we arrived, we were greeted with homemade cinnamon rolls, which my daughters loved! Our family enjoyed spending time on the back deck with the fire pit and hot tub. The house was centrally located… about 20 minutes from Custer State Park, Keystone and Rapid City. I spoke with Sherry, one of the homeowners, before we arrived, which was helpful. We also had the pleasure of meeting her and her husband. They were kind enough to share corn and tomatoes from their garden! We very much enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home, wonderful hosts and great location!

Everything about the home was exactly as described. From the very well stocked kitchen, warm, inviting home, plenty of deer to watch, it was just what we were looking for. Perfect location to get to all the area attractions. Sherry and Lloyd were wonderful hosts. Highly recommend it.

Great location central to a lot of attractions (Black Hills, Badlands NP, Sturgis/Devil's Tower, Mt Rushmore, etc). Lots of room, well maintained property. Couldn't have worked out better - we had a great stay.

Great place to stay in the Black Hills

This home was great for our little family reunion. The cabin comfortably slept 4 adults, 4 children, and our infant daughter in a pack n play. Lots of open space to play yard games and the decks gave us a great place to unwind in the evenings. Everything worked as expected and the house was fully stocked with all the essentials. Cherie was very responsive and excellent to work with. We will definitely stay here again!

Simply the best!

We have been traveling extensively for 15 years with TA, ABNB, VRBO, etc. This was our first use of Evolve Vacations, and the authentic warmth and neighborliness, provided by Cheri and Debbie was simply the best. Lloyd was quiet and reserved, but equally genuine. We just loved staying with them. Plus their home was perfect in every way. Wonderful people, Wonderful place.

Perfect stay!

Perfect country home and location for visiting Black Hills

This large family home, located in a peaceful country location, could not be better situated for visiting the beautiful Black Hills and Custer State Park. It is surrounded by fields, a stream and gentle hills yet within a short drive of cute tourist towns and attractions as well as the beautiful hikes, lakes, drives and wildlife of the area. Absolutely stunning.. The home is a large, loved family home with well kept peaceful outdoor areas and a comfy interior that offers everything that you would find in your own home. Well stocked for daily family living. We felt like visiting family members and loved the welcome gift of delicious homemade cinnamon rolls. The owners were always available to answer any questions but did not interfere with our privacy at all.. Our family from grandparents to grandchildren felt right at home in this wonderful retreat!
