I cannot say enough good things about this property and its hosts. We were a group of adult friends going for my birthday and the layout of the house was like we each had our own apartments and space inside the same house. Such a fun unique setup! There was a little sloth sanctuary outside by the kitchen patio for early mornings and private jungle walking trail. So many beautiful birds, flowers, plants and the largest bamboo I’d ever seen all onsite. We were slightly worried before our stay about the safety of staying out in the jungle, but this place could not have felt more safe. The owner owns all the surrounding land, with a couple more rental units and their parents close enough by we could see it and walk there each, but all far enough and facing different ways that everything was still very private. And it was actually wonderful to have them closer by. One morning they even made us a lovely homemade breakfast with organic ingredients at their house along the water. It was my birthday and they made me feel so special! When we went for breakfast the father played guitar and they all sang me happy birthday, they got me an amazing birthday cake that was so delicious and one time I had to run over and borrow some butter in the middle of my own breakfast making and they were always just so kind and so welcoming. It was a truly magical stay with the kindest and most considerate owners ever! We absolutely loved it and would totally go back!!

I’m a lawyer based in La Fortuna, the town where I was born and raised. I have a deep love for Costa Rica, its nature, its people, and all the beauty this country has to offer. Hosting gives me the opportunity to share that beauty with others, especially in La Fortuna, a place that means so much to me.

What I enjoy most about hosting is providing each guest with genuine care and attention. One of the greatest rewards is when guests tell me they cannot wait to return. I love when people arrive as tourists but leave feeling like part of the family.

This property is located just 15 minutes from downtown La Fortuna, offering the perfect mix of convenience and tranquility. The area is peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery, native trees, and the calming sounds of nature. It is an ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring waterfalls, hot springs, or the Arenal Volcano.

The land itself has been in our family for generations. It is a place filled with memories, care, and tradition. We chose to build here because we wanted to create a space that reflects the natural beauty and peaceful spirit of the land we grew up on. Now, we are proud to share it with guests so they can experience the same sense of calm and connection.

Our property is truly unique because it offers total privacy and tranquility, just 15 minutes from the busy center of La Fortuna. Surrounded by lush greenery and the calming sounds of nature, it is a peaceful retreat where you can relax and disconnect from the stress of daily life.

What also sets us apart is the personal attention we provide. We go above and beyond to make sure each guest feels welcome and supported. From help with planning to thoughtful touches throughout your stay, we are always available to assist with anything you may need.

A special highlight is the traditional Costa Rican breakfast experience lovingly prepared by my mother, using fresh local ingredients. Guests who stay two or more nights receive one complimentary breakfast, and additional meals can be arranged upon request. Her cooking brings warmth, comfort, and a true taste of home.

Another unique touch is the family of sloths that lives in the trees just behind the house. While sightings are never guaranteed, they are often nearby and add something magical to the natural beauty of the property.
