This place is like home away from home with so much to do! Great location all while still being quiet! I highly recommend this home and they have everything you could possibly need! I cant wait to schedule for next year!!!

Magical Family Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at this property. I have been coming to Edelweiss Village every summer for most of my life and I have to say this property is by far the best. It is so well maintained and clean. We stayed with 4 young children and 5 adults and there was something for everyone. As a mother and someone who has been renting in this village at various different homes, I have to say, my favorite thing about this property is that the linens and towels were included. There was nothing better to me than getting there and not having to make a bunch of beds and then unmake them at the end of the week. I actually got to be on vacation right when i got in instead of getting straight to work. This home is well equipped with a paddle board, kayaks and a canoe. We were on the water every single day. There are two docks on the beach and we enjoyed fishing and hanging out as a family in such a beautiful setting. The kitchen was a dream. We had everything we needed and more to prepare meals and gather as a family. Even though there were a lot of us staying together, the house felt extremely spacious. We were all so sad to leave. Courtney at the Real Estate office was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions I had. I hope to return to this home in the future. It is truly a gem and we feel like it was one of the best weeks we have had as a family.

Great location but could use a little help

It’s a vacation rental so we really don’t expect perfection, however in aggregate there are just a few too many missteps. There is a strong moldy smell in the basement that, unfortunately, is noticeable on the first floor. The kitchen is ultimately well stocked and useable but a bit cluttered (why 3 slow cookers?). Many cobwebs in the corners. Bring your own towels as there aren’t enough for full occupancy, the ones provided were put away damp and smelled pretty bad until we washed them ourselves. The mattresses are fairly bad, one frame collapsed as the legs weren’t locked in place. The toys provided are fine though the tan kayak has a severe leak - avoid. The location is excellent, the pond is lovely, and the neighbors were super friendly. Lots to do in town, great options for restaurants, food shopping, and entertainment.

Sandy Beach Retreat

It was restful and relaxing sitting on the large deck. The kids enjoyed the kayaks, water, raft and hot tub.. The beds were comfortable. Overall a great stay. 4 stars because: Kitchen could be better organized (Why is the flashlight in the silverware draw? Where are the big bowls? Gave up on finding the contractor bags.). 4 face cloths are not enough if you are advertising for 10. Replace the ice cube trays.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice and the hot tub was good. Fireplace didn't work which was disappointing, especially since we were only there for less than 48 hours and it was raining out. Also, I found the expectation to wash the dishes, sweep etc AND bring sheets kind of annoying since VRBO charges a ridiculous cleaning fee. This is more a complaint about VRBO than the house.One important note for those who are physically challenged. There are three cement steps down to the property and no ramp or railing. House was lovely inside. Definitely perfect for those who like to cook. This was my first time renting a property so I suppose this was more sticker shock than anything. It was a LOT of money for not even 48 hours.

Waterfront Review

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the week was wonderful. We enjoyed the house and waterfront property. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and typical kitchen amenities. The layout of the house was great and we enjoyed the deck and sandy beach area. A few areas that would have made the experience a bit better. The house could use a good power washing. It is extremely dirty on the deck side which made it a bit of an eye sore. We had to call to have the hottub serviced as it was not serviced on the scheduled date and it never fully got clean so I would suggest two cleanings a week. The deck is a bit uneven which was evident when being in hottub as water went over edges when only 2-3 people were in hottub. The basement bathroom had an awful smell so we didn't use it. And lastly the house is worn, stain carpets, chipped paint, older furniture etc. A deep clean and tighter screws would make it a bit more appealing. The dock was nice but the area was very rocky so we didn't allow kids to jump off it. Property management from booking to checking out was fabulous.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Air conditioners in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms were not working. One made a horrible screeching noise when we turned it on. The other one the compressor would not come on no matter how low we put the temperature. The back slider door screen would not slide. The track was bent so we had to keep closing the min sliding door. The freezer was dirty and needed to be wiped down before we used it. The dining chairs on the deck has soaked cushions that we could not use all weekend and 2 or 3 of those chairs were missing the backs to them. Also, the description of what the house has for amenities and supplies should be updated. It wasn't very clear and my family and I ended up WAY over packing which was annoying to a degree.

The management company was very responsive and took care of any issues we had quickly. The only drawback was that the deck furniture was not in good condition. We had a great week of family time!

Peaceful getaway with great amenities

Location was amazing and the pond front water access was quite nice especially if you plan to use all of the boats the property offers. The house itself was pet and kid friendly. Home is slightly dated and could use some upgrades. Great kitchen for entertaining. The basement level had a smell consistent with potential water damage but nobody in our group slept there so was no an issue. The place could have been a bit cleaner. Lots of bugs indoors. Highligh recommend fly paper especially on the bedroom level. Overall a decent property for groups of 8+ people.

Lovely waterfront property!

We had a lovely stay at this house. It is well equipped and the location on the water is ideal. The hot tub is very nice, and we had lots of fun taking the boats out! The living space is nice and large to accommodate the entire family. Only a couple notes - first, the check in/out is a bit of a pain because you have to go into town to pick up and drop off the key. More ideal would be a lock box. Second, the basement is a bit damp smelling and running any water in the basement bathroom creates an unpleasant smell. Overall, however, a really great stay at a lovely property - so I still highly recommend!

Great stay in Madison!!!

The home was perfect for a group getaway to NH. So many amenities right in the home- we barely felt like we had to leave (hot tub, private beach, grill, etc.). In a great location close to downtown Conway and great hiking. Would definitely recommend/come back!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented for the winter season. Location is very nice, however, the upkeep of the property leaves little to be desired. Mold and mildew throughout the property, basement has a strong sewer smell, and the lake water docks/furniture are not kept up. The mgmt company is also very difficult to deal with, lots of finger pointing at the renter , when they don't set you up to do things properly. Things like hot tub care should be clearly articulated and they are not. Overall, there are better places to rent in MWV.
