The host was welcoming and responsive. The apartment had everything you needed and was super clean. The apartment had a great kitchen, great deck was spacious all around. Loved being on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. Close to hiking, grocery store, and restaurants. Ate at one restaurant overlooking the harbor. Hope to get back soon. and is around 25 minutes from Bar Harbor.
Flying Mountain/Valley Cove —you can walk to this hike from apt. Beautiful hike .
Stargazing from apt deck . Check out Seawall picnic area to stargaze.
Bass Harbor Lighthouse close to apt .

Unit was very clean and well situated in Southwest harbor. Check-in was seamless and the host was very responsive. We did not have any issues with noise or other inconveniences with additional tenants staying in the downstairs studio unit, and the host very kindly gave us a heads up when new tenants were coming during our stay. Kitchen was well outfitted and rooms were comfortable. Check out task list was minimal and straightforward.

I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay in South West Harbor was. The apartment is great! Clean, spacious and comfortable. Close enough to everything (Bar Harbor & Acadia), while also being tucked away in the woods. Great experience from start to finish.

We had a great time staying here! As others have shared, Southwest Harbor is on the quieter side of the island AND we had a full Acadia experience. There was plenty to do in/around that area and Bar Harbor was about 25ish minutes away. Eric was very communicative -- the check-in process was easy and the place is as pictured and described - very clean and comfortable. Would I stay here again? Yes - I have zero hesitation in recommending this place.

Great location, cleanliness, communication

My husband and I stayed at this property with our dog in late June. It was clean and comfortable and exactly what we expected. The location was convenient to many Acadia trails as well as downtown Southwest Harbor. Although there was nobody in the studio apartment below us, the layout was such that it would not have bothered us if there were. Eric did a great job communicating with us and ensuring we had what we needed, and we especially appreciated his flexibility in shifting the dates of our stay at the last minute due to illness.

Clean and convenient

We enjoyed our stay as a family of four with two adult children and our dog. It’s close to area hikes and restaurants. We kayaked one day at Long Pond. The apartment was very clean and well-equipped.

Wonderful experience!

This was our first trip to Maine and we’ll definitely be back. This apartment was perfect for our stay near Acadia. Everything was clean & well maintained. The owner was very responsive and happy to advise us on favorite restaurants, hikes, etc. It was amazing to be able to have the windows open in the evenings and for the temps to be brisk! I also appreciated having air conditioning available on the days that were warmer. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Stay for the Acadia Birding Festival

Best stay in Acadia

My family of 4 had such a great time in this home in Southwest Harbor. I am so thankful for this peaceful retreat away from the crowds and stress of Bar Harbor. The house was lovely, quiet, and cozy. It was so clean and well-constructed. We have stayed in rental properties about twice a year for the last 12 years, and this one was my favorite. The owners are meticulous with their information and instructions which I really appreciated. They took as much time to prepare the home and visitors as I did to plan my vacation. I will recommend this home to everyone I meet who would like to visit Acadia!

Great place

We loved our stay here! The location is great for the southwest harbor and a quick drive into the rest of Acadia and bar harbor. Eric was incredibly responsive before and during the stay. A small issue arose during the stay, but Eric made sure to make sure it was remediated immediately.

Great location to and from Acadia!

I love the location of this rental. It is close enough to Acadia, Bar Harbor and anything else you may need, while also being secluded. Being a newer construction, everything is nice and new inside. Also loved each lightswitch being labeled, made knowing what each switch did so much easier. Only suggestion would be to have extra blankets available as there were none anywhere. Host was super easy to communicate with and we will definitely keep this rental in mind for future trips to Maine.

Perfect location

This property was away from busy Bar Harbor, but close to Bass Harbor, Seal Harbor, and many other Acadia attractions. Great hiking trails are located close by, some in walking distance. We truly enjoyed our short stay here.

Great Vacation

My wife and I stayed here for three days during a New England road trip. Eric was awesome. Provided excellent recommendations. The VRBO was clean and in a great location with hiking trails one min away. Wouldn't need to think twice about staying here again. Highly recommend.

Clean, new and good location

This was a great little 2 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment. It is new and clean. The location is great. On the "quiet side" of MDI but only 20-30 minutes from ANP visitor center and loop road and Bar Harbor. 3 minutes to Beal's, must try lobster roll! Eric was a great communicator. The apartment does share a common entry with downstairs studio apartment. And the deck is over the downstairs patio. However, there were only guests there 1 of our 4 nights. Just know there is the potential to be sharing yard/cornhole/grill with someone else. They have everything including scent free laundry detergent. A little thing but we have some sensitivities and no strong odors on the sheets made it nice for sleeping. Would love a fire pit, but I undestand the danger/liability. Overall, it was a great stay!
