この新しいコテージ（2014年）、Woodland Cottage III（アウター・アイランドの眺めを持つM. D.I. Quietsideの森に位置）をチェックしてください。 ペットフレンドリーでサウスウエストハーバーの村、そしてグレートハーバーマリーナまで徒歩圏内です。 この地域には数多くのレストランがあります。同様に、無料のIsland Explorer Shuttle（6月23日〜コロンバスウィークエンド）をMDIとアカディア国立公園のほぼどこにでも持ち込むことができます。 アカディア国立公園への徒歩数分、ハイキング、サイクリング、カヤック、水泳、登山、バードウォッチング、クジラウォッチングなど。

The cottage was very cozy and well stocked. We enjoyed the two bedrooms with lots of closet and drawer space. We grilled one night and also enjoyed the firepit. The washer and dryer were also a plus. Thank you for and unforgettable Maine retirement vacation

Nice and private, even with other cottages nearby. We loved sitting on the deck, enjoying the wildlife and walking to local restaurants. Vicki was a great host!

Stayed at alot of VRBOs. When even the outdoor gas grill is clean, as it was, it says something about a property. All the little details were thought of. Comfortable bed. Nice deck. Everything pretty much as represented. Would stay again.

Echoes of SW Harbor

Both the private location and setting of the cottage was perfect for a quiet getaway.Vicki provided all the essential amenities (and then some) and was resident on-site throughout our stay.Located within a short-walk to: breakfast/ lunch cafes, drug store, hardware store, and dining/ bar venues........also, a short-drive to groceries and [of course] Acadia National Park destinations.

Perfect fall weekend

Location was perfect, it felt so private but was super close to downtown. Very cute cabin, with plenty of space. Access to Acadia was quick too, as well as to food and gas stations. 10/10 would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Whether you are exploring the area or just relaxing, Woodland Cottage meets all your needs. We are return renters and find new adventures on MDI with each visit. The cottage is comfortable, clean, and quiet. Perfect!!!

Acadia Woods Retreat

Listing perfectly described this amazing getaway cottage. Felt like we were in the middle of the woods, but we were actually just a five minute walk from all of the restaurants and shops in Southwest Harbor. We liked it so much that we booked a week at one owner's other cottages next door for next summer!

Woodland Cottage stay

This is a very special place. It is exactly as described and had everything we need for a comfortable stay. The deck is a great space for relaxing after hikes and checking out some wildlife. A short walk to town but feels very private and it’s quiet. Vicki is a lovely host.

Great Quiet Side location

Great place to stay to avoid the crowds in Bar Harbor, yet close enough to great hiking and the outdoors. Within walking distance of some great restaurants and a very cute downtown.

Peaceful retreat

The cabin is on the " quiet side" of the island which we loved. It was clean and well maintained. We loved sitting on the deck and just staring at the trees. We were here a bit before peak season (again a plus for us to get away) so some of the businesses were just opening back up for the season. There is a steep driveway with a few bumps that our SUV handled fine , but we were grateful we didn't have our low clearance vehicle. Thanks Vickie! If we ever are back in the area, we would definitely book this again!

Clean, cozy, quiet, close to town

Great place to stay in Southwest Harbor and close to Acadia National Park. Wooded enough to be quiet and secluded enough from other cabins and to hear birds and see the occasional deer. I'd definitely stay there again; highly recommended.

Woodland Cottages

We always enjoy Southwest Harbor, the Quietside of MDI. This is the third time we've stayed here. It's a great location, convenient to town and trails. Peacefully located in the pines.

Sweet Cottage

The cottage is tucked away in the woods but a 3 minute walk to the Main Street. Location is perfect for visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Doug Beal, Jr. a 5th generation, lived in Southwest Harbor his whole life. He and his wife, Vicki, owned a Marine Conctruction and Diving Business for 41 years. They decided to start a retirement business, so, they began building seasonal rental cottages. Doug completed 3 of them before he passed away in the summer 2015 ( Homeaway #956783 and #3498716 ). Vicki is carrying on the business that she and Doug started, together.
The three cottages can house 19 happy vacationers, (for a group looking to vacation, together), or rent one for a family. Woodland Cottages I, II and III, all have great holiday appeal ~
