Extended Family Celebration

We had a long weekend stay with 4 generations of family to celebrate a series of birthdays. This property was ideal as it had plenty of bathrooms, a number of lounge areas inside and out, plenty of open space and close to the shops. One night, we had Nick at Hampden Deli cook a 5 course meal for us which was fabulous.

Amazing house

10 women celebrating a 60th. Cannot fault this house & wonderful communication with hosts. Is a massive house & in a perfect spot close to everything & bonus have our own alpacas to feed (watch out they spit)! House had everything you need. Perfect for 2/3 families. We be back!

Perfect Family Getaway

Rivermist is the ideal family getaway with spacious accommodation to house everyone comfortably, close proximity to everything in town and a reasonable drive to surrounding towns (Berry/Nowra). Rose and the team are great to deal with. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure!

Pastoral restful magic

An elegant pastoral setting. Perfect for 12 women, gorgeous bedrooms each with an ensuite and lovely kitchen with everything needed. So many sharp knives. Hurray. We did yoga on the deck with alpacas and ducks watching in awe and enjoyed the beauty of the valley surrounded by the mountains .. close enough to the village for coffee but quiet and private too. Loved it.

We had a fantastic stay at Rivermist. The house is so comfortable for a large group and it has all the creature comforts to ensure an enjoyable stay. The location is perfect as it’s just behind the main road but it still secluded. I would definitely return.

This property is very well appointed with plenty of room for all. This 6 bedroom home each with their own ensuites and being located right in the heart of the village, makes this a perfect retreat for all. Quality linen and towels were provided. One of the best properties I've stayed in.

couldnt ask for more

This house had so much to offer. The location was perfect as it provided spectacular views, so close to the cafe's and general store. The house had everything you could ask for and was great for our family. The fireplace was prepared so all you had to do was light it - nice touch. Even though it was winter we had such a nice time basking in the sun on the deck with the French doors open. Couldn't ask for more. The alpacas were interesting - never heard their calls before and we had a brisk walk to at the bridge and a short stroll to the creek.

RESTFUL HAVEN IN THE HEART OF KANGAROO VALLEY

Rivermist, a restful haven in the heart of Kangaroo Valley. This tastefully appointed 6 Bedroom, 6 Bathroom Home has everything you need to relax, refresh and reinvigorate. All the comforts of home and well equipped if you wish to self-cater. We loved everything about this property and could not recommend more highly. All 5 star ratings.

Fantastic property!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rivermist. The house is well equipped and beautifully decorated. The six bedrooms all with bathrooms means that everyone has their own space. There are also lots of great communal areas with 3 sitting areas inside and a wonderful north facing deck. The location of this property is also amazing. It is right on the door step of the village but is on quite a large property adjoining the river so you feel like you are a million miles away. My family is already planning their next trip back to Rivermist!

Just gorgeous!

We stayed at Rivermist for a work weeked weekend and could not have been more impressed. The property is beautifully styled, quiet and within easy walk of the shops. Every room was spotless and we loved having a bathroom each! The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked one night and ate out one night, but next time we would stay in both nights as we were so comfortable there. We only had 4 couples but we still had the whole property to ourselves. There are 3 generous sitting rooms with a lovely verandah and bbq. Very impressed overall and we will return!

Felt like a supervised stay

Property itself is lovely although i was rather surprised to arrive and be met by the owner inside the house and to be told they would be staying in the shed out the back. It was awkward and we were all conscious of it over the weekend which dampened our experience. If i had have known prior I would have booked elsewhere.

Fantastic property and location

One of the best equipped and laid out properties we have stayed in. Our group of friends have been renting properties for Easter since 1984 and Rivermist was one of, if not the, best place we've used in that period. Lots of separate spaces; really well equipped and tranquil - while being literally a 100 metre walk from the township. Plus each of the 6 comfortable bedrooms had its own en suite. Within easy reach of Berry and the coast; as well as the highlands. A crackerjack of a place.

We'll be back!

This is the second time our group has stayed at Rivermist. It was fantastic last time but is now even nicer after a very tasteful renovation. The house is huge, very comfortable and well equipped. The location could not be more perfect - the property feels so rural and private, yet the main street is just steps away.

Such a find!

This is an absolutely fantastic property. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but you're literally a 30 second walk to the village. Very well laid out and furnished - it was perfect for us a group of adults attending a wedding (especially every room having an en suite). If you go to the newsagent at the end of the drive you can hire the local tennis courts. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic for a couples weekend away

We booked Rivermist as a weekend away for five couple.. It was the perfect property with a bedroom, and a bathroom!, for every couple. There was plenty of space to fit everyone in the lounge rooms and the dining table had ample space for us all the fit around. The location was perfect - hidden right behind the main street of Kangaroo Valley.

Excellent Property

This weekend 6 couples stayed & had an amazing time!!! The house is in a convenient location close by to shops yet once there you have such a gorgeous outlook you wouldn't even know it. The kitchen is well appointed with an amazing 12 seater table, the bedrooms are fantastic as are the 6 ensure bathrooms. Nothing was lacking!!

Pretty location

Our recent stay at Rivermist Glen was nice, the accommodation generally is nice but is in need of some attention, the sitting area that would most likely be used as a breakfast area had boards from the ceiling dislodge during the first night and fall into the area causing concern for us not to use that room. The interior was clean and tidy, linen clean and fresh. The kitchen was well equipped however lacking enough champagne glasses for 12 guests, we also didnt have enough cups or mugs for 12 guests and had to have the listing agent bring more which she cheerfully did. This accommodation could do with a " detail" on the outside to bring it up to the standard reflected by the rate charged. The grounds are quite beautiful and the proximity to the local village is wonderful. With some fine tuning this accommodation would be lovely for a wedding or large family gathering. As a group of 10 women staying we were happy with our choice of accommodation but not thrilled. We hope the owners or caretakers take some more time to bring this property back to where it should be.
