Memorial Day Getaway

The house was perfect. Clean and comfortable. We had a variety of weather from sunny to thunderstorms but it was a great trip. We saw horses, dolphins, and even a sea turtle on the beach! As first timers in the 4x4 area I was a little nervous but our hosts provided great instructions and tips. We’d love to back!

At the beach again

This is our third year staying at this property. We have never been disappointed. Randy and Susan are excellent hosts. It is the best relaxing spot there is on the beach.

Perfect Slice of Peace

Our trip was wonderful. First time in OBX and couldn't have picked a better property. Peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied including spices which was amazing for us home cooks. The only downside (that did not affect overall rating) which may not be a downside to some, the master bedrooms mattress is extremely firm. Loved seeing the horses daily and sitting on the porches in the most perfect chairs. Will absolutely be back!

OBX Heaven

Beautiful, peaceful location. Home was clean and inviting. Owner respondeded quickly to any questions.We saw the Corolla wild horses daily. Got some great photos and videos of the horses. 4x4 Beach drive was a new experience for us. Absolutely loved it! We have had many friends and family inquire about the property. Our kids, spouses, and grandchildren all came to check out our location. They fell in love. Will definitely go again!

Wonderful

Another wonderful visit to Corolla Beach Cottage! Very relaxing. Saw lots of horses. Enjoyed listening to the Bull Frogs and nature in the evenings. Beautiful beach. Doesn't get any better❤️

5th year and still wonderful

This was our 5th summer at this rental. The house continues to be maintained and well equipped with annual updates. Location is perfect and we had horse guests daily. A true gem for any beach and horse loving family!!!!

Perfect location

We saw herds of horses every day from the deck of this beautiful home! The owners thought of everything visitors could possibly need. This was the perfect location for a relaxing vacation.

Uncrowded and peaceful Outer Banks Vaca

We had a great time at the Corolla Beach Cottage. The 4x4 beach road made me a little nervous, but we did not have any issues. I would definitely visit again.

Outstanding Getaway

This was the perfect place. We absolutely have to say this is the best vacation rental we've ever had, bar none. We'd definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting the horse reserve area of Corolla.

Amazing!

I’ve been wanting to visit Corolla for years. Finally did it and couldn’t be more pleased with our stay. We seen the beautiful horses daily. One day we had them in the front and back of the house. An amazing experience to watch them from the porches. I did not want to leave and actually rebooked for 2025 during our stay! If you are looking for a perfect cottage for a couple or small family, look no further! Perfect! I cannot wait to return next year. The owners and property managers are wonderful to communicate with and were very helpful especially since it was our first visit to the 4x4 area. Best advice- understand the tide schedule and plan accordingly for trips back to pavement.

One of our best trips

This house is perfect. We had such a great week here. The house and property are immaculate and the location is amazing. We saw groups of wild horses everyday and the beach near the house is beautiful. We would love to return soon.

4th year here - booked our 5th already!

This is a great hidden treasure! The house is perfect for our small horse & beach loving family. Modern features, clean and perfectly located. We could not ask for a better vacation (unless it was to stay longer!) - this was our 4th year at this property and we have already booked next summer to return again!

Perfect Vacation Getaway

Beautiful beach home!

Absolutely beautiful house! Wild houses walk right through yard with viewing possible on porches. Four wheel drive a must- will not be able to drive in neighborhood or beach without it.

Great experience

We so much enjoyed our first time staying on the 4-wheel drive beach. The spot was relaxing and quiet. We had visits from the wild horses almost every day as they grazed on the lawn. The walk to the beach was close and good exercise. Randy and Susan were excellent hosts providing more for our stay than we had expected. We will definitely make plans for a return stay.

Comfortable home in a peaceful setting.

This home is very comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. We appreciated the excellent kitchen equipment, comfortable beds and sofas, and the instructions we were given before we arrived. The house is set in a quiet area, with easy access to a glorious beach, and frequent visits from the wild horses. We loved it !

This was our third year here and we love it more each time. We even booked 2023 here already! The house is clean, modern and very comfortable. The quiet of the beach and horses are just what we need to get away and relax. This house is a gem we plan to visit annually!

What a wonderful stay!

This home is perfect for a secluded beach getaway. Fully stocked with everything you could need and spotless when we arrived. Randy and Susan reached out to me a few times prior to arrival to give me updates and tips which I very much appreciate. We saw wild horses at the property and surrounding block every single day. I have already recommended this home to two people and will probably return in the future. Thank you so much for an awesome vacation!

Can't Wait to Come Back!

This home was a beautiful place to spend a week on the beach. The house was clean and well-kept, and had practically everything you'd need to NOT leave once you arrive with groceries. BEST VACATION EVER!
