House is perfect and they think of everything. Toilet paper and paper towels to start you out and a bottle of wine. The kitchen has everything you need. We had horses in our yard daily. Overall the house was clean. The bedroom ceiling fans need to be cleaned, very thick with dust and the grill hadn’t been cleaned. We tried to but the cleaning utensils were also dirty, so we were unable to clean it and use it. Other than those things, everything else in the house was wonderful! Very easy to get to the beach access, straight down from the house. Highly recommend!

Had a great stay despite unfavorable beach weather thanks to this gem of a home. It was perfect for two seniors, their senior dog, and a couple in their fifties with two preteens. Having such a great well stocked clean home made all the rainy windy days better. Horses were around the house each and every day, under the car port, in the back yard, pretty much everywhere. The property managers are super nice. We ran into them a couple times and the owners are great and responsive, but we didn’t once have to reach out with any issues. You can pack light. The washer and dryer are updated and the kitchen is well stocked for a week of cooking.

Another excellent stay in this perfect cottage! The weather could have been better but that’s always a chance you take in September. Horses on or near property nearly everyday. I walked through the living room one morning and seen movement through the back deck blinds. I was delighted to see a horse and enjoyed my morning coffee on the back deck admiring his beauty. We also seen a foal just up the road from us that was only days old! Overall, another perfect stay and we just love this home and location.

Great location, short walk to the beach! The Horses came to visit a few times! The house was clean and very well equipped. Also,nicer than the pictures show! Overall a great relaxing place! Can't wait to return!

Place was very clean, had everything we needed. The house is close to the ocean, and the house was very easy to find. The wild horses was amazing also definitely a 10/10 we will be booking again soon!!

Such a quaint home just a short walk from the beach. Listing was accurate and home very clean. We had an amazing vacation and excited to go back!

Memorial Day Getaway

The house was perfect. Clean and comfortable. We had a variety of weather from sunny to thunderstorms but it was a great trip. We saw horses, dolphins, and even a sea turtle on the beach! As first timers in the 4x4 area I was a little nervous but our hosts provided great instructions and tips. We’d love to back!

Perfect Slice of Peace

Our trip was wonderful. First time in OBX and couldn't have picked a better property. Peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied including spices which was amazing for us home cooks. The only downside (that did not affect overall rating) which may not be a downside to some, the master bedrooms mattress is extremely firm. Loved seeing the horses daily and sitting on the porches in the most perfect chairs. Will absolutely be back!

OBX Heaven

Beautiful, peaceful location. Home was clean and inviting. Owner respondeded quickly to any questions.We saw the Corolla wild horses daily. Got some great photos and videos of the horses. 4x4 Beach drive was a new experience for us. Absolutely loved it! We have had many friends and family inquire about the property. Our kids, spouses, and grandchildren all came to check out our location. They fell in love. Will definitely go again!

At the beach again

This is our third year staying at this property. We have never been disappointed. Randy and Susan are excellent hosts. It is the best relaxing spot there is on the beach.

Amazing!

I’ve been wanting to visit Corolla for years. Finally did it and couldn’t be more pleased with our stay. We seen the beautiful horses daily. One day we had them in the front and back of the house. An amazing experience to watch them from the porches. I did not want to leave and actually rebooked for 2025 during our stay! If you are looking for a perfect cottage for a couple or small family, look no further! Perfect! I cannot wait to return next year. The owners and property managers are wonderful to communicate with and were very helpful especially since it was our first visit to the 4x4 area. Best advice- understand the tide schedule and plan accordingly for trips back to pavement.

Wonderful

Another wonderful visit to Corolla Beach Cottage! Very relaxing. Saw lots of horses. Enjoyed listening to the Bull Frogs and nature in the evenings. Beautiful beach. Doesn't get any better❤️

5th year and still wonderful

This was our 5th summer at this rental. The house continues to be maintained and well equipped with annual updates. Location is perfect and we had horse guests daily. A true gem for any beach and horse loving family!!!!

Phenomenal Experience

2 Wk vacation was absolutely perfect. The home is wonderful & comfortable. Kitchen is nicely equipped. The two porches were great places to hang out. The horses visited numerous times during our visit, which was an incredible experience. The beach is pristine. It was easy to reach out to Randy and Susan if needed. If you are looking a laid-back property where you can rest this is it. We enjoyed sleeping, grilling/cooking, playing games, puzzling, reading books as well as walks on the beach and a couple excursions to town to see the Currituck Lighthouse and Whalehead. It’s perfect for families and for those looking for some respite. We can certainly see ourselves returning again and again.

Beautiful Beach Home

This was our second stay at the Corolla Beach Cottage, and we can't wait to return. The house was immaculately clean, upon arrival. It is beautifully decorated and stocked with anything you could possibly need, and a few things you may not realize you needed. We love that the porches are covered, so even a rainy afternoon is still a good day to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We were fortunate to see the horses hanging out in the yard on a few occasions. If you are considering renting this home, please don't hesitate. You will fall in love with this home and the area the minute you arrive. The owners are wonderful to work with and very quick to respond. The locals are very friendly, also! We look forward to booking our next visit!

Beautiful clean home in a quiet neighborhood

Sept 9-16 2023 Randy and Susan’s house was absolutely beautiful! Had all the appliances you could ask for, plus spices, dishwasher soap, paper towels, zip lock bags cleaning products, etc. Seeing the horses every day in the yard made some great pictures for cards ! The only thing we didn’t like was the ride on the sand was about a 20 min drive with many trucks and keeps passing on the sand and hurricane Lee made the surf high and a few days we couldn’t get out . It a great place for people that want no one around and love walking in the sand , it was a long walk to the beach but you can drive there in about 5-7 mins and up over the dunes.

Best vacation ever

This place was absolutely amazing. The drive along the ocean on the beach to the property was priceless. Saw dolphins our first day. Being able to put our toddler in the jeep with everything she needs for the beach and driving seconds onto the beach without having to pull a beach cart and all our goods was absolutely amazing. We vacation every year and this was our absolute favorite place so far. We were so excited to see the wild horses in the front yard and on the beach. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful stay!

This home is perfect for a secluded beach getaway. Fully stocked with everything you could need and spotless when we arrived. Randy and Susan reached out to me a few times prior to arrival to give me updates and tips which I very much appreciate. We saw wild horses at the property and surrounding block every single day. I have already recommended this home to two people and will probably return in the future. Thank you so much for an awesome vacation!
