Family vacation

This lake home is large and can accommodate a group. The deck looks new and the pool is sparkling and clean. It could use a few updates, but was comfortable and met our needs pretty well.

Family Friendly Cabin

We arrived to the area for a fishing tournament on the lake. The cabin was amazing and right on the lake. The kids loved the pool and learning to kayak. Quiet area to relax and enjoy the water. Would definitely come back when in the area.

Lakeside cabin

We enjoyed having the pool which was clean just needed a hand railing to enter, which the owner said he'd find out what happened to it. Enjoyed having the lake even though the gnats were bad near this end of it, it was great to kayak on. House was plenty big n had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay. While restaurants n other things to do were further away we enjoyed the location. Thanks for a lovely stay for the week

Cabin on Cherokee Lake

We had a family reunion with people from NY, NC, KY and TN. Location was fine. Close to marina and groceries. Jason was an excellent host. The beds were VERY high! My siblings are in their 70's. We had to find stepstools for them to get into bed! The deck was nice and had seating. We saw some geese with their babies on the lake..so cute!

Beautiful / Relaxing / Fun

We stayed at this beautiful cabin toward the end of August. The location is amazing, directly on a lake & surrounded by the beauty of nature on every side. The leaves on several of the trees were just beginning to change when we were there. We spent much of our time out on the deck overlooking the quiet, serene yard. The pool was clean, delightful, & refreshing. We also enjoyed spending time outside under the patio table & umbrella. There is plenty of room for a large family to gather, & this cabin had many extras that made spending time indoors enjoyable as well. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to cook dinners throughout the week.We took a walk one day, using the provided walking sticks, and saw incredible views of the various lakes in the neighborhood.We rented a boat for a day from a nearby marina and enjoyed exploring the gorgeous waterways. We also rented bicycles one day and biked down Mount Rogers. It was amazing! We spent a day in historic Rogersville and loved the “Olde Towne Emporium” antique store and the delicious treats from “Sweet Liberty Cakes & Cookies”. The owners of this cabin are wonderful people & have added many little touches to make you feel welcomed & relaxed. Would highly recommend staying here for a fun, refreshing, memorable time!

Much lacking and overpriced - just difficult

We were connected to this listing after our original owner cancelled our reservation five days before we were to arrive, because they sold the property. VRBO should not allow owners to list homes that are for sale. Good: The house is very large, in a quiet neighborhood, and has character. My kids had plenty of room to play ball in the yard as well. The cleaning people put up a Christmas tree for us, which was nice. Not so good: Owner is the contact, not the management company, so when we got there and saw a lack of hand towels (two for four bathrooms), blankets (one extra blanket for 8 people), Drano for the clogged upstairs sink, and batteries for the smoke detector that was beeping, we contacted them. Their cleaning person brought us some extra hand towels, laundry detergent, Drano, and batteries (wrong size). This house is not as advertised. The fireplace was not working. The kitchen is not even close to being fully stocked, no cleaning supplies, no laundry detergent (until we asked for some), no kitchen supplies beyond very basic cookware and dishes, and as mentioned, very minimal towels. House is listed for sale – realtor came by to take pictures. There were dead bugs in every room (at least they were dead). The lake level goes down significantly for the winter so there is no lake view and it is not lake front. The back door would not stay latched so used a suitcase to keep it closed. One extra blanket for four bedrooms and pull out couch that was in the main level, not in the basement as listed. Fourth bedroom does not have egress windows so not even sure that can legally be a bedroom. The owner was nasty to us because we had the audacity to contact them and the management company again regarding the five places the ceiling was leaking from the half bath and master bath on the main level down to the basement extra room. We had to buy extra towels since we used the ones they got us for the leaks. Silly us, I guess, as I thought they’d want to know, but alas, they were already aware of the leaks. She was also angry our son was sleeping on the couch and not the bed, but it was advertised that the pull out was downstairs, and it was not. It's upstairs. We didn’t have enough blankets anyway, so had to purchase one…and more towels. She told us that we should just be thankful we found a place to rent over Christmas and to not contact them again unless there was an emergency. Would not recommend this place, ever.

Absolutely Amazing

We had the best family vacation with the kids and grandkids. The cabin was spacious and warm. The pool provider endless hours of fun without going anywhere. The lake is beautiful and the staff a Huff's Marina were awesome. The kids had never been tubing and they loved it!!!! It was like having your own private lake even in the middle of August! We already booked this cabin for next summer. We cannot wait to get back. Thank you for a great stay!!

Great Multi-Family Vacation

Our 3 families enjoyed staying at this property. It is a short trip to get items like groceries, etc. (Wal Mart is about 25 minutes away), but there is a Dollar General very close by for most other items. The pool was awesome and the kids loved it! It was nice to have the pool to utilize on alternate days that we did other outings like Jeep rentals and white water rafting, and just checking out Pigeon Forge in general (Pigeon Forge was about an hour away). We cooked alot at the cabin, so really did not check out any local restaurants. Jason was a great host and was very quick to answer any questions or help us with any concerns.

Absolutely wonderful!

Everything was wonderful . The salt water pool was huge and great. Beds and linens very comfortable. Plenty of privacy and room for the whole family. The kayaks were nice and islands to explore in the lake provided enjoyment. Jason is a great host.

Amazing Stay!

This cabin exceeded our expectations beyond belief! Jason was a wonderful and responsive host. The house was very clean and had so much space for our family. Even though the pool was closed for our stay, we enjoyed the use of the kayaks out on the lake. We can’t wait to come back!!

Easter Getaway

We had such a wonderful time at this cabin! Not only is this place beautiful, it is so spacious and room for ppl to have a great time inside and outside. My grandkids enjoyed fishing and the kayaks that were there. Personally I enjoyed the relaxing and peaceful feeling I got just from sitting out on the large deck looking out towards the lake. It’s in a very nice neighborhood but your neighbors are not right next to you, so you have plenty of space to roam. Kitchen is fully stocked( I even brought my crockpot and there was one already there) the place is rustic and homey, which I absolutely love. Sleeps 12 ppl, and the beds are so comfortable. I have only positive things and great memories about this place. It has a very nice pool as well, but we were there before it was opened. After being there for only about 2 hours, my granddaughter asked if we could come there for the 4th of July. Like I said, this place is beautiful, you won’t regret booking this place at all! Highly Recommended

The cabin was everything we were hoping for, spacious and comfortable with great amenities. The cabin is very private, if you don’t leave to make the short trip into town you may not see another person your entire stay. The pool is great and the view at night onto the lake is peaceful. Can't say enough about the owner, Jason. He checked in with us prior to and during our stay. He took the time to provide us with links to local sites and was a pleasure to talk to. The cabin was everything we were hoping for, spacious and comfortable with great amenities. The cabin is very private, if you don’t leave to make the short trip into town you may not see another person your entire stay. The pool is great and the view at night onto the lake is peaceful. Can't say enough about the owner, Jason. He checked in with us prior to and during our stay. He took the time to provide us with links to local sites and was a pleasure to talk to. Family vacation

Overall, things were great, but there were a couple of inconveniences. We had trouble with very cloudy pool water. A pool guy came out but didn’t resolve the problem. The trash cans weren’t tightly sealed, so critters got into them. In the morning we had to pick up trash critters had gotten into. It would have been nice to have more trash cans too. A couple of drains were very slow. We left a note saying this, so hopefully it was taken care of. Positives: We rented a pontoon boat and had a blast tubing! Fishing was great too. We traveled about an hour to a Tennessee Smokies game and to Dollywood.

Great family location

We stayed for a week with a family varying in age from 2-58. The house was huge! We had plenty of space for everyone and the house was well stocked with everything we could need. We did have only one issue with the pool. I contacted them property manager and it was resolved immediately. We had great communication with him throughout the stay, and even before we went. Tremendously enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.

Family Getaway

We had an amazing time. The weather cooperated and everyone loved the pool. We rented a pontoon for a day to explore the lake and spent another day in the mountains and Gattlinberg. The house was clean and spacious-just perfect for us.

Relaxing Fun Filled stay!

This Cabin was perfect for our Large Family Spring break trip! Everyone had a room which can be hard with 6 adults and 8 kids! The kids had plenty to do and rotated between paddling Kayaks and skipping rocks at the lake or just hanging out together inside. We never felt crowded even with everyone inside. We give our Trip and Cabin stay a 10 out of 10!!

Our stay at this property was nothing short of Amazing! The open floor plan, the architecture, decor, landscape, wildlife, and overall comfort of our stay was FANTASTIC! Christmas in January

We had a fabulous stay in a fabulous cabin. Everything we could possible need was provided. Great home to celebrate Christmas with family and friends. Communication with the owner was great. He helped with all our questions.
