Nice Place But Not My First Choice

For starters, this property is in a good location. Beach access is well within walking distance and you do have a nice view for a second row house. The area is nice and quiet so it feels like you have some privacy. The check in process was pretty simple but we did have to drive across the island just to receive the code for the residence. I would have preferred to have been provided the code as opposed to driving to an office and waiting to receive the code. Overall the interior of the house is nice. We fit three families (13 total people) inside with no issues. The rooms are bigger than they appear in the pictures. We were excited about the area underneath the house, but it was poorly lit. At night you could not see even with the lights on. The outdoor shower was in a terrible condition, almost to the point where you could not use it. There is apparent moisture damage to the residence. If you are in the space beneath the residence, its very evident. There are gaps in all the floors upstairs. We had several issues with cockroaches as well. You could not sit on the front porch without seeing a ton of them. The first night we were there we saw one in the floor of the house. Later in the night we saw one on the kitchen counter. Later in the week I saw one in the back bedroom. I contacted the rental company about it but never received a response. By the last night we were tired of sitting on the porch and dealing with the roaches. Additionally, one of the dressers fell on my young daughter while she was simply opening a drawer. None of the furniture that was capable of tipping over was secured. This was our fourth year staying in OKI. We absolutely love this place. But, I would look elsewhere before staying at this house again. Despite some of these negative remarks, the actual owner of the property was very responsive. We primarily had contact with Coastal Vacation Resorts. They responded to some of our issues (sink that failed to drain) but did not respond to the cockroach problem. Before renting this property, I would check to see if they have corrected the cockroach problem and ask for up to date photos of the residence. My overall rating of this property is a 2, mainly because it was hard for any of us to feel comfortable at the residence due to the cockroach problem and the moisture problems.

Family week beach trip

We really enjoyed our stay at love at first sight. The booking and check in process was very easy and the house was just as it was listed. The location and amenities were great. Would stay here again in the future!

Lovely home!

We loved this home. We noticed how clean the property was immediately. The rooms were a decent size. Our favorite part was the front porch. You could see the ocean sitting in the living room. We even seen some dolphins in the water. The neighborhood was clean and friendly. We also spent a nice amount of time under the house while cooking on the grill. We look forward to coming back in the future.

Cute and sweet

Enjoyed the house very much. When we arrived it was 11 pm and the code did not work. It took 20 minutes before the management company called us with a bee code. Besides that everything was great! I would recommend.
