Perfect beach stay!

Property was beautiful, the walk to the beach took less than 5 minutes. Kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. It was a perfect place for our family vacation!

Great beach getaway.

House was very nice with a lot of space. In a great location for easy beach access and bike rides to shops and great restaurants. Close to Fort Fisher where you can take a short boat ride over to southport for a fun day of shopping and dining. Close to Wilmington and some great breweries.

Second time vacation at Carolina Beach

We enjoyed our stay in Halt’s Away beach house! It was a short walk to the beach and a quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean with plenty of towels and necessities. We enjoyed sitting on the front desk each morning with our grandchildren. Many memories were made! We highly recommend this beach house.

Very roomy

Very spacious, comfortable. Hard to find an affordable beach home to accommodate 6 people that has 3 bathrooms. That was a big bonus. Short walk to beach. Great location, nice neighborhood.

Much needed vacation

Love the idea that we were in walking distance to the beach. The out door shower came in handy to clean off before entering the house. The house had everything we needed. we felt right at home. I would recommend this rental.

Lovely, spacious beach house

We enjoyed the cleanliness and spaciousness of this house very much. There were some electrical problems at check in that left us with no lights or TV in the living room for the first 2 days but it was all handled on Monday morning. The neighborhood is very nice with a short, easy walk to the beach. Well-stocked kitchen and nice bedding.

Comfortable house, great location

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the house. Perfect for 4 adults and a baby. The location was fantastic, a short walk to the beach. Kitchen was well equipped, and we loved the grill. Only issue was wifi (we were given two different wifi login passwords, but neither were correct). We had requested a crib, but was delivered within 2 hours of our arrival.

Wonderful place to stay!

Halt’s Away was the perfect beach home accommodation. The kitchen was fully stocked with more than everything we could possibly need during our stay. The rooms were well appointed and we all slept soundly. We appreciated the professionalism and diligence in the company you hired to replace the A/C unit during our visit. Even though this was an inconvenience, they made sure the work was done with the least amount of interruption to our day. Thank you for a 5-star vacation!

Roberta, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry for the inconveniences, but am glad that our team was able to react quickly to fix the issues. The HVAC had a clogged line and we were able to get a vendor out to unclog it to get it up and running. We try to send multiple reminders to guest to put trash out on the correct day, but sometimes this gets overlooked, so I am glad that our maintenance tech was able to remove the excess trash. We hope that you will be back to enjoy this wonderful home!

The beach is truly a short walk away, about 2 blocks. The stairs to enter the property might be difficult for someone with walking issues. No problems for us.

Great Family Time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a blast at Halt's Away. The rental was clean and had pretty much everything we needed. The drip coffee pots were under the counter and someone had put it away without cleaning it out so we had to clean it before using it but that was the only thing I saw that needed attention. Having the garage was great because we just pulled our wagon in there when we returned from the beach and did not have to haul things up and down the stairs each time. The beds were comfortable and the distance to the beach was not bad at all. We could easily get to the beach and back.

John - We're happy to hear you had no issues while staying at Halt's Away. This large spacious townhome allows large families enough space to spread out and relax while also having the ability to huddle together in the large furnished living room or dining room and enjoy each others company. Relax out on the furnished front porch or the private balcony off the master bedroom and listen to the waves from the beach in the distance. This property sits about 4 blocks away from the beach, however, walking to the beach and finding your piece of paradise isn't an issue as many beach access can be easily found. Great location and a good space for our group of 3 families. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep (3 adults and 4 grown teenagers). The pullout in the bunkroom was not so comfortable and the king bed in the master was drooping on one side, but no overall complaints. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils, and every appliance you might need. Not much pantry space for storing all the food and snacks we brought but we made due. The kitchen sink was not installed well and you have to be careful not to let water go down the sides. A ping pong table was listed, but the "basement/garage" was very musty and table was unusable. The outdoor shower was also not well kept up. Overall a clean place, just needs a bit of love.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Decent family house! My only concern was the front rails on the porch was loose and should be secured for children’s sake. The tub on the first floor didn’t have a tub stopper which would have been nice to take a tub bath in that bathroom. The pillows could use a wash. All coffee mugs were dirty in the cupboard and needed to be re-washed. It was probably in the dishwasher and was not turned on but put away. We hand washed all drinking glasses before we used them which is unfortunate. Condiments were plentiful which was nice. Despite paying for the beds to be made up, they were not and was told that’s because of Covid, If that’s the case they shouldn’t offer that service. I had to ask for a refund. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Sandra - thank you for your review. Did you know that our hospitality and maintenance departments are avaible to all our guests upon request? We wish we had the opportunity to address these issues you state you found. We have placed an order for a new tub stopper for the downstairs bathroom, thank you for that recommendation! We have also repaired the loose railing on the front porch, thank you for flagging! Due to the current world wide pandemic we are currently in, we do not make beds at this time. All sheets and towels are safely wrapped in plastic and left on the appropriate beds for our guests. I see we did charge your account for the bed making. Wonderful Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved being close enough to restaurants and shopping but far enough away that it was quiet at night. We loved feeling "at Home" despite being 100's of miles away. We are talking about returning soon. so we can enjoy more of what Carolina Beach has to offer.

Great stay!

We had a great stay, very happy with the house. Clean and very close to the beach, 3-5 minutes easy walk. The property manager responded quickly. Check in is very easy and convenient. Very nice and cozy house. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you so much!
