Amazing vacation here!

The property was absolutely perfect for what my family needed for a vacation! The pool was great, the condo was awesome, and the view was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for anything else to make our stay better.

Great time at Maui Sunset

Would recommend Maui Sunset it has everything you need for a great VACA. Wendi is a great manager that is there for you if anything is needed. Excellent location for young families and adults. Close to everything you need. Will be back soon.

This condo took great care of their grounds. Beautiful view of sunset each night. Plenty of sand toys for kiddos and spacious living room.

Great family spot

The grounds are great for kids to run around the enormous lawn. The view of sunset was great whether you sat at the beach or your balcony. Great we had some pool and beach toys /equipment in the closet to borrow 😊

Beautiful view but noisy

Great condo lanai and view. Large sitting area. Cramped kitchen with poor layout. Basic cleanliness is ok but deep cleaning necessary in a lot of areas especially the entrance hall. Very noisy location with screaming kids in the pool until close.

Great stay

Had a wonderful time st this location. Beautiful sunsets every night. The only complaint we had was it appeared housekeeping missed changing the sheets on the master bed for some reason. A quick message to the property owner corrected the issue. This was the only negative thing I could say about this property and it wasn't the owners fault.

Breathtaking View

The view is amazing...perfectly situated to watch the sunset! We had 2 kids, age 5 and 9, my spouse and me, and my mom. The beach closet and the supply of towels for the beach was unexpected, but soooooo nice! Oh, and the AC was so nice. We went at end of Jan, still nice, but temps got in the 80's, so the AC was amazing. They had a slow cooker, too! The only thing is I wish they had a bar on the property! Worthwhile. Loved it, and you will, too.

Great family stay!

My husband and I stayed here with our 11, 9 and 5 year old. BEAUTIFUL VIEW of the ocean. Can’t beat in in my opinion. You can walk to the beach. There is a great closet full with very useful things like tennis rackets and tennis balls for the court, a bag of beach toys for the kids, spare beach bags for the beach towels that are also provided, snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc. it was so nice to have all that stuff provided. They give you tooth paste and 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner bottles to start you off and bars of soap. The property is dated with some imperfections but between the view and the great living space, we didn’t care that it wasn’t up to date on renovations or super fancy. The kitchen had everything we needed and was fully stocked. It fit our family’s needs perfectly. We will def be staying here again.

With the threat of a tropical storm and not being able to fly off the island, Wendi contacted us, gave us her personal phone number and options should we not be able to fly out - and offered us alternative accommodation. 421A is in a great location, but would benefit from new shower/bath fixtures as poor water pressure and dribbling water constantly in main bathroom. (hopefully this has now been fixed) Beautiful sunsets and grounds of Maui Sunset, good facilities and close to shops and restaurants. Favourite restaurant - Kimo's in Lahaina

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Kumulani office personnel were exceptional when I made my reservations. I appreciated being able to work with a real live human. I rented 3 units and all were as described, some better furnished than others. My 1-bedroom unit had a couple of issues which occurred and they were managed quickly, if they could be. The unit could use an electrical water kettle. The current kettle is a cheap stove top one that has a handle which gets too hot and when pours, steams your hand. It's also a fire hazard as it doesn't turn off automatically as an electric one would. Also, where's the iron and ironing board? The unit should have these essential household items.

The sunset is beautiful. However, the inside the condo was not clean. The carpet had coffee stains and it was very dirty. The bathrooms need a upgrade. There were dead ants in the hallway. The furniture in the living room was old and needs cleaning. Occasionally, there were little ants crawling on the kitchen countertop. The outdoor furniture and dining area were in great condition. The condo included all the basics you need for recreation such as tennis racquets, beach chairs, pool towels, sheets, and plenty of towels. The condo has all the necessary cooking utensils and cookware.

Spacious enough for a family of 5.Pull out bed was comfortable.Cons: bath towels were very worn. Not enough beach towels and they were worn out and all mismatched. I kept wondering if I was bringing back the right ones to the unit. There was a very strong mildew odor in the master bathroom. Bathmats really worn out. The washer and dryer smelled mildewy. I had to re-wash my clothes when I returned home because of the smell. The instructions for the washer say to use liquid detergent only but the cleaning staff only left powder detergent. Not enough paper towels or toilet paper. Beach toys very much appreciated but really worn out.None of these cons would deter us from staying in this unit again.
