【京都・東山】全面改装した静かで伝統的モダン木造民家〈宇庵・星〉駅から5分

粟田口宇庵は小さな庭をぐるりと囲んで建つ花・月・風・空・星の5棟からなり、そのうちの一軒家〈宇庵・星〉の宿泊施設です。築100年以上になる民家を古い雰囲気を残しつつも生活しやすく全面改装しました。地下鉄東山駅から徒歩約5分の立地にあり、南禅寺、平安神宮、京都市美術館、知恩院、八坂神社などの観光名所へのアクセスは抜群です。

宇庵・星は2018年に全面改装された50㎡の2階建一軒家です。キッチン完備(食器、調理器具、調味料、炊飯器、電子レンジ等もあります)、お風呂、シャワー、洗濯乾燥機、洗濯洗剤、家具などが備わっており、シーツやタオルもご用意致しております。２つの寝室が２階にあり、ダブルベッド一つを洋室に、布団2組を和室にご用意することが可能です。

チェックインはもちろん日本語で対応可能です。チェックインの際は、私かアシスタントが鍵の受け渡しをさせて頂きます。京都観光の拠点としてのご利用をお待ちしております。

Uan Kyoto is a lovely place in an excellent location in Kyoto. Satoru made checking in and out a breeze. We ate three times at recommended restaurants and each time was a hit. I highly recommend staying here.

Brilliant little house in a great part of Kyoto. Great that the owner met us on site and help during the week. Great to have a kitchen as well as some brilliant restaurants near by… can’t recommend it more highly.

The place was exquisite. So beautiful, peaceful, clean and comfortable. The bath was Japanese style and nice and hot. It was in a gorgeous area, away from crowds but easy to get to temples by bus or walking. The host was so helpful and even went to get an adaptor for our laptop late at night. Can’t say enough good things. Hope to come back again with our family. Thank you so much

We loved the location in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to many Kyoto attractions and to subway and bus stops. The beautiful homes have lovely traditional Japanese elements as well as modern amenities. Communication with the owner’s staff is excellent! Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. Clean and comfortable and with easy access to tourist sites and public transportation. We stayed at Hoshi for 4 nights and every aspect of our stay was wonderful. We had a lovely welcoming by Satoro who showed us around the property and how to use the facilities (the all in one washer/drier was a real bonus for us after being in Japan for 5 days, already. We would stay at Hoshi again if lucky enough to return to Kyoto. It really is in the best location. What a beautiful stay we had. Thank you.

The house has all amenities listed, with the exception of a "hot tub", I think they mean bath tub. The space was perfect for two could easily and comfortably accommodate 4. Location is great, a ten minute walk to the train station, with two Lawson's en route. The property manager is very responsive, kind, and knowledgeable about the area. Have a great recommendation for delicious tonkatsu. We had a great time at Uan House!

Amazing stay

We loved our stay in this beautiful house with great amenities. A fantastic location, close to many temples, gardens and cafes. The hosts were very accommodating and gave clear communication for the check in. There are also amazing forest walks nearby that pass through a number of less visited temples. We hope to return some day soon.

Leading up to our arrival, communication was smooth, prompt, and genuinely friendly. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and received a thoughtful welcome gift, which immediately set the tone for the stay. The house itself was exactly what we hoped for in Kyoto: a traditional atmosphere with modern comfort. It was spotless, well maintained, and felt surprisingly spacious for the city (50 m² over two floors, with two bedrooms). The location in Higashiyama is a real highlight—quiet and charming, yet extremely convenient. The metro (Higashiyama Station) is only a short walk away, and many great sights are within easy walking distance (e.g., Keage Incline, Heian Shrine, Yasaka Shrine / and easy access to Nanzen-ji and the museums in the area). Practical details were excellent too: strong Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and having a washer/dryer made our trip much easier. The kitchen was well equipped (including basics like a microwave and rice cooker), so it’s easy to feel “at home” even for a short stay. Overall, the blend of traditional character, cleanliness, and convenience made our two-night stay extra special. I would absolutely recommend staying here—and we’d happily return.
